Lyts Kastieltsje, a quiet cottage in an orchard

Lyts Kastieltsje is a short walk from the Waddenzee, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest tidal area on Earth. The cottage was once part of the cooling barn for the old fruit farm. It is surrounded by just over a hectare of gardens, orchards and meadow which provide a home for our three sheep, bees and many species of birds. The orchards contain plum, quince, medlar and different varieties of apple and pear trees. We also share the place our dog Jack, 10 ducks and some chickens.

Cozy apartment on the outskirts of village near the sea dike with spacious south-facing balcony with beautiful views. We have this fully renovated, spacious apartment at our disposal and would like to let our guests enjoy it. Tzummarum is a cozy village and a great base for trips to, for example, Franeker, Harlingen (Wadden Islands), Leeuwarden or the lake area. In the rural surroundings of Tzummarum, it is wonderful for cycling, hiking and motorcycling.

This unique place has a style all its own. Located on the dike, just 250 meters from the Wadden Sea, world heritage. The apartment is located in the front house of the former Dijkwachtershuis, known as «‘t Strandhuus». Private front garden and private front door with hall. Adjacent is the kitchen and bathroom.
