Monthly Rentals in Opsigias

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

A delightful place to stay. Great communication from booking to end of stay. The villa was beautiful and clean and cleaned again half way through. Everything we needed (including sharp knives). Local shop, tavernas and restaurant only 5 minutes away. Only slight (& very slight ) negative was not having 2 sets of keys. If staying in slightly separate upstairs room then need others to be awake to access kitchen - teens not to keen on our knocking 🤣. Otherwise a well recommended beautiful villa. Thank you 🙏

A second visit- we loved it so much, this time came earlier, at Equinox in March, and I stayed on my own, leaving in late April. I could have stayed another month. It was incredible to watch the spring season unfold, and the village come alive, with the spring horta harvests and village gatherings, preparations for Easter and to be there during the Orthodox Holy Week when the families gather was deeply moving. The landscape is stunning, olive groves shimmer w/ silver growth, the baby lambs arrive, bright green meadows fill with wildflowers and so many orchids! The location is central to all the key places you'd want to visit, and coming 'home' to an authentic villa, almost a folk museum itself, yet utterly modern, was such a privilege. The villa is so comfortable and decor lovely, with 3 great decks, and so much support from Manolis as host, and Rumy as caretaker and fine chef. Mount Ida is in constant view, everchanging, it is truly a magical, powerful land. Thank you so much.

Fantastic old traditional house, well preserved and carefully modernized. Kind hosts eager to assist and give recommendations of nice nearby places to visit. Amazing view of the valley.
