Waterfront holiday rentals in Opua

A lovely place! I had been experiencing some stress recently, so this was a great place to come to unwind. I thrashed it out on the nearby Mt Manaia- handy being in the area! Recommended. Plus shops etc not to far away by car. Comfy bed, clean, and just generally awesome. I should have read the place name properly/ used my common sense....couldn't go kayaking because of the tide (was low in the late afternoon and morning)- my fault for not figuring that out!! Just have to come back then 😉 Thanks guys, awesome place.

Clean and comfortable unit with a great view across the water. Beautiful sunsets and good for star gazing as well. A quick drive into the centre for local eateries and various activities. Walking tracks accessible from the unit. Would recommend.

An absolute dream house! Stunning apartment with a gorgeous view. You definitely feel like spending a holiday with style :) Breakfast at Seaside restaurant are mind blowing! Best coffee in town. Plus! You get a discount :) We had the best time there. Will definitely recommend and we will repeat! Thanks!

Absolutely stunning Airbnb, one of if not the best we’ve ever stayed in (we’re doing a round the world trip so have stayed in a lot by now)! It was absolutely pristine, we felt like we were checking into a 5* hotel with the quality of the beds, linens, towels etc. It is genuinely nicer than the photos and more spacious, and it was so appreciated that Anita had some provisions and snacks like milk, chocolates, crisps and fruit there for us when we arrived. Anita is lovely and so friendly! She kindly greeted us at check in, showed us around and how everything works, and gave us some fantastic local recommendations which we did and thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the coastal trail to Paihia and getting the car ferry across the bay to go to Russell. The views over the bay, watching the boats come and go, are stunning. We didn’t use the BBQ that’s on the balcony but would have if we’d stayed longer, which I wish we had! Overall we couldn’t fault this place, and HIGHLY recommend staying

The Boathouse was in pristine condition and the view is stunning. We also loved watching the ferries come and go just outside. Beautiful run to Paihia and a walk back. Recommend The Blue Door in Paihia for breakfast.

This was the most lovely accommodation! It was clean, well-appointed, and had the most beautiful view of the Bay. Wendy communicated well, and provided easy instructions for entry into the car park, and from there, into the apartment. Our two night stay was extremely quiet, which we expected, given it's not the high season, yet there was still enough going on about town that we never wanted for something to do! The location was absolutely ideal, as all businesses were within very easy, close-in walking distance. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer, and we'll definitely look to return!

The place looks right out on the beach and is an absolutely stunning view. Very easy to walk to the beach. The bed was comfy and the place was clean. Jane was very good at giving instructions to find the place and the key. She was friendly and if I had any issues I knew I would be able to ask her for help. 10/10 stay!

Mark & Leone were great hosts --- very responsive, accommodating and helpful. Check-in process was simple and with clear instructions. The studio apartment was clean, comfortable, quiet and private, with amazing views and an almost private beach on the doorstep ----- a simple and wonderful place to relax!

Great stay at this beachfront property! The location is unbeatable—just steps from the water, making it easy to enjoy the ocean. The home was clean, well-kept, and had mostly everything needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were especially great—super comfortable for a restful night’s sleep. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and helpful with local recommendations. Overall, a great spot for a beachside getaway. Would definitely stay again!

If you want to relax in a warm home with amazing views, quiet and peaceful, this is the place. Literally a 2minute drive to Russell waterfront with the Duke of Marlborough and other restaurants to choose from. We loved it.

Anne was incredibly responsive on messages. Made us feel welcome and we had a lovely stay at her Airbnb. The location is incredible, right by the sea. The kayaks and paddle board were a great addition. We were very lucky to have even seen some dolphins while kayaking. Wish we could have stayed longer !

It is a fabulous place to stay for families and the additional equipment that they have for the families to use is amazing. The setting is glorious and outlook is stunning. The Bay its self is very safe for children to undertake water activities. The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond with additional options for linen because of the rainy weather conditions. We would have no hesitation in booking to stay again.

We had a wonderful short stay at Lyndsays place. She went out of her way to make it very special & lots of extra touches. Really appreciate it and will try and come again one day. Very memorable and very hospitable. Thanks so much.

Lovely place to stay. Very well equipped. Great for family group of 3 generations. Great views from all rooms and always something happening on estuary. Pool table, spa , pizza oven and kayaks provided great variety of options. Highly recommend

Our family stayed 3 days at this lovely and beautiful house, the place is very quiet and the sea view is stunning, we had a great time there.
