Quiet village location near the waterside. Fully equipped flat within walking distance of all local amenities. 3 minutes drive from the Gills Bay to Orkney ferry, Pentalina. Couple of minutes walk to the bus stop. Plenty beaches and walks nearby. Kirkwall is a 20 minute drive away. Tourist information hub and local crafts on sale at Robertsons Coffee House and bar. Local produce available at Doulls shop, the Workshop sells local arts and crafts. Golf, tennis and bowls all welcome to take part.

Our property boasts superb sea views over Scapa Flow, Hoy and beyond, aswell as field views from the bedrooms. Situated 3 miles from Kirkwall Town centre, with country walks from our doorstep, we offer the ideal spot to explore Orkney. We have free off road parking and an outdoor drying space. Please note: this property is accessed via stairs and no lifts etc are available.

The Smiddy is a unique house, a converted woollen mill fully modernised with many special architectural features. Suitable for upto six adults, two children and one infant maximum. The house is decorated to a high standard with Orkney stone walls, oak flooring and oak stairway. Upstairs at The Smiddy there is a spacious living area with a wood burning stove, panoramic window, 75" TV with Sky and sound system and there is also a juke box. We also have Sky Q in every bedroom and in the kitchen.

Lovely 1 bedroom first floor flat in town centre

A stay at this flat gives you easy access on foot to Kirkwall's town centre and all it has to offer. If you are taking a car to explore further afield, there is also on site free parking. I hope that you enjoy your time in Orkney and that the flat has everything you need. The flat is literally just around the corner from the fantastic Rendall's Bakery, the Willow's Chinese Takeaway and chip shop, and the Wellpark Garden Centre and Willows Coffee shop!
