Family-friendly holiday rentals in Ostia

Amazing location right in the very heart of Trastavere. This apartment had everything we needed for our short stay in Rome and was in a perfect location to access the sights of the city and the dining and nightlife of charming Trastavere. It was exactly as described and Germana was a friendly and welcoming host. Hopefully one day we can return.

Location was great! Very close walking distance to the Vatican. Worked well for my family of 5. Apartment is on the 4th floor with a very small elevator that barely fit our family. Luckily we didn’t mind taking stairs. It worked well to sleep and get ready in as we were out all day most of the time were stayed here. Other attractions(coliseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, etc) are not within walking distance and will need to take taxi.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful apartment in Rome! The location couldn’t have been more perfect—tucked away on a charming street, yet just steps from all the major sights, cafes, and gelato shops. The apartment itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. Our host was also incredibly responsive and welcoming, providing great local recommendations and making check-in a breeze. Waking up each morning and stepping out into the heart of Rome was a dream. We would come back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Eternal City!

This was a great apartment. Great patio, nice, clean and spacious. Loved the neighborhood. They were great hosts-allowing us to drop our bags early was a big plus. Gave us a great list of recommendations. Terrific to have a washing machine! Perfect. Thank you for the great stay.

This apartment was perfect for our visit to Rome. The area is quiet and we felt safe. You can walk quietly to tourist sites and there is a nearby metro station. The place is very nice and nice, you feel at home. Everything worked perfect.

From the very beginning Fidia was proactive and very responsive! We were sent the house manual right away with all the directions and recommendations right at hand. Their assistant, Allan, was there to greet us when we checked in and he gave us a tour of the home and went over all of the instructions. Fidia also recommended crazy4rome for our tours and they were also fantastic. All of our transportation was arranged for us as well. The home is located right in central Rome and is walkable to many great restaurants and attractions. Would definitely go back!

This might be the most thoughtful and pristine Airbnb my family and I have ever visited. Perfect location, wonderful shower, lovely views, cozy beds, and very suitable AC for hot summer nights in Roma. The lift for our heavy luggage saved my husbands back, even though the apartment is only on the second floor. Paola is a prideful owner of her charming apartment and it shows with every detail. Will definitely refer my friends to this one of a kind accommodation. Can’t wait to visit again. 🩷

This place was a gem. To be this close to the Coloseum makes one feel like a true Roman. 24hr grocery a few feet away, tons of great food just a walk away into the Monti neighborhood, close to a metro, pharmacy at end of street, and AMAZING Air Conditioning in the bedrooms. You will not melt. One floor up with a lift for luggage. Plus Massimo is communicative, kind, and checked in on us. If you want location as your primary quality, look no more!

We had a fabulous stay, the apartment is cosy, super clean, really quiet, cute terrace to enjoy breakfast in the shade and afternoon sun. Every little detail is there and the fridge is stocked with items as well as coffee, sweets….Best apartment ever 💯Good backery just around the corner, supermarkets just a short walk, easy with tram 8 to the train station and city centre and bus to Vatican. We had some excellent diners in local restaurants and it was nice to get out of the busy centre. But most of all Valentina is absolutely great,reacts fast, could leave our luggage until afternoon departure. She is just the best and made our stay perfect! Grazie mille ❤️

Guido's place is located in a very walkable area but outside of the primary tourist locations in Rome which can get quite noisy and crowded. Lots of restaurants, a fantastic gelato shop (Fassi), a nice park nearby, and it's about a 15 minute walk from the Termini train station. The location was perfect for us, and the space provided everything we needed for a short stay in Rome.

We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment. My wife and I were in Rome for a celebration and Martina went above and beyond with special treats and gifts waiting for us. We didn't meet Martina in person for check in as she was working but she was in contact with us through e-mail. Martina's mother met us at the apartment instead and gave us a thorough check in. She was absolutely lovely. The apartment itself is wonderful and has the added bonus of aircon and a gorgeous terrace to relax on and enjoy the views. It has a well equipped kitchen and the apartment is a good size. The metro is a short walk from the apartment and is very easy to use. You can be in the city centre in just a short time. All of the Rome attractions are easy to get to using either bus or metro from the apartment. All in all we has the most wonderful holiday.

I would 100% recommend staying here. Beautiful place and felt so relaxed here. When we turned up we were given some free Pizza rolls from his favourite bakery which we really appreciated. Great place to stay and close to all amenities. Great communication and great time.

I am very happy with my stay at Livia's place. The apartment was as described: spacious, tastefully furnished, with a large and very comfortable bed. There is a large terrace with table and chairs for your exclusive use. We used it a lot while drinking coffee or wine. The cleanliness of the apartment and bathroom is perfect 5/5. A kitchenette equipped with all necessary dishes, cooking utensils, and olive oil and other spices. Livia provided refreshments, and left water in the fridge, butter, and tea and coffee sets to choose from. Livia is very personable and hospitable. We were pleasantly greeted by her. She recommended interesting places to see, prepared an informant and a map of the city specifically for guests. She immediately booked a table at the restaurant for us for the evening. Very nice. Contact with Livia was excellent. Responds to all inquiries and possible requests. Thank you Livia for your hospitality :)

A lovely, cosy, quiet studio with fantastic balcony and breathtaking views of the Vatican. Pam supermarket at street level is great for drinks, lots of pizza places nearby too. Bus to rome is 3 min walk away. Recommend going to Trastevere which is walkable too. Pamela was very responsive and helpful. A great little pad and would stay again.

Stefano’s place is lovely, loads of space and everything you need. Lots of places to eat close by and the metro just a short walk away to take you right into the centre of the City, literally a few stops away. The outdoor area is just perfect and a great way to relax after a busy day! Stefano was always quick to respond on everything before & during our stay. Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting Rome.

Super furnished apartment, thought of everything. From fly screens on the windows to ceiling fans. The pool was great, especially in the strong heat. Very nice landlady and very friendly caretaker on site, you feel very well taken care of, we would come back.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The location was peaceful and quiet—perfect for relaxing and unwinding. One of the true highlights was the outdoor living area, complete with a beautiful pool that made every moment feel like a retreat. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was our host, Claudia. She was incredibly kind and responsive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel like part of her family. Her warmth and hospitality truly set this stay apart. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with a gracious, welcoming host and a beautiful space to enjoy, this is it!

Alex was an ideal host. Met us on arrival and showed us around. He was always available via messages if required. The house was fantastic and the gardens and pool were beautiful. The pool is quite deep with a diving board. We decided not to rent a car and taxis were quite expensive so we relied on buses and the metro to get around. A metro bus ticket is 1.50 euros which gives you 100 minutes of travel on the bus and metro ( only one metro ride per ticket ). There are 3 big supermarkets including Lidl which can be reached catching the 88 bus outside the gate. The 906 bus can take you to Valle Aurelia where you can catch the metro to Rome Central. Overall, we all had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it. A fantastic host of a lovely villa.

Perfection. Absolutely loved it. It had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean and safe. A really peaceful sanctuary after the hectic feeling of the city centre. But so centrally located. We cycled to the centre on bikes we hired from a bike shop about 5 mins walk away. It took about 25 mins to cycle to the centre. We also got taxis a couple of times for convenience and it was a 10 min drive to the centre/termini station, cost 10-20 euros. The swimming pool and beautiful garden were a godsend in the heat. Ale and Roby were welcoming, kind and helpful, such lovely people. The friendly family cats were the icing on the cake! Highly recommended - we were sad to leave! Wonderful stay! Very peaceful and everything was perfect in the house. The pool and grounds were lovely. Probably our favorite Airbnb stay we've ever had.
