Beautiful views, great layout, and extremely dog friendly with nice touches make this place stand out! Very close to all the state parks in the area, but there’s plenty to do on site as well. Check in was seamless, we had clear instructions throughout, and the place was perfect!

We had our 9 person family here with our 3 dogs and the space was perfect. Lots of games and pool time for the kids and adults alike. The charcoal grill was hard to get right but we are just not used to dealing with that type of grill! Lots of hiking in nearby areas.

We enjoyed this stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future. It is such a cute area with multiple pools, places to walk around, food to eat, and the sand bar with live music was very fun. This was a perfect and quiet little getaway for my boyfriend and I. We walked the marina multiple times, kayaked, and hung out by the pool. The neighbors are nice people and it is a very cute area! Super swift and easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely recommend!!

This place was a real gem. Very clean and a good location. Sharon was a great host and was very welcoming and flexible. She accommodated us at the last minute and gave us a same day reservation. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked the house for 6 adults and we were very satisfied with our stay. The house was nice and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen/living room were fantastic and offered a great place for us all to hang out. The house and surroundings were relaxing and we enjoyed the hot tub and the fishing dock. We saw a lot of wildlife and enjoyed a nice walks around the lake. Olena was nice and responsive and we'd rent from her again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood with lovely views of the river. Everything we needed was provided and we liked the layout of the house. Regarding sleeping accommodations, there are beds for 6 people (2 queens with twin bunks above each) and additional sleeping options are provided via a pull-out sofa and 2 futons.

The perfect place for a girlfriend get together. We celebrated a friend’s retirement and knew we wanted a comfy, easy drive, stay up all night and talk type of place. We were so pleased with the accommodations - the best couch to sit on and share years of memories through hours and hours of conversations. Awesome kitchen with everything we needed. Such a sweet place to stay with great friends. Felt like being at home.

Very nice house sleeps four very comfortable

We had a great stay, everyone-ages 2-70, enjoyed themselves. We loved the river view and plenty of areas to gather. It was good however, that there were many of us to keep an eye on the 2 year old, who loved exploring the many steps and rooms with some items we wanted to keep him from.

Alissa's home provided a backdrop for my family to stay in and extended family members to drop by to visit while we were in town for two days for my grandmother's memorial service. I chose her home because it was furnished in such a way to allow for multiple conversation settings. Her Craftsman was adorned with carefully curated vintage furnishings which made the home visually appealing. The kitchen was updated with modern appliances, which we didn't use, but many useful items for cooking were present. My aunt and uncle who are brother and sister each had a private room on the main floor. They remarked that the memory foam mattresses were very comfortable. My husband and I and our two teens stayed in the lofted upstairs bedroom. Those beds seemed more full size than queen. We were cozy, but we did sleep well. The two full baths were side by side on the main floor, which worked well. One shower was a walk-in; the other shower was a deep tub. All rooms were thoughtfully appointed.

This is the best weekend getaway near Chicago! You get to support a great nonprofit regenerative agriculture farm while having a relaxing weekend in a beautiful place. Book now! We arrived on a Friday evening and were greeted by our friendly hosts who showed us around our Airbnb. Then, we prepared ourselves dinner in the large kitchen and ate it at a spacious dining table. On Saturday morning, we got to snuggle baby goats for 2 hours. A baby goat fell asleep in my lap! Then, on Saturday evening we got a tour of the regenerative agriculture farm from the executive director of Hungry World Farm. The tour was informative and thoughtful. We also got to watch many baby lambs frolic. Finally, we made a fire in one of the fire pits and made s'mores on Saturday night. We left on Sunday refreshed and grateful to have had the opportunity to spend time in this beautiful place. We're planning to come back next spring to meet the next generation of baby goats, lambs, and calves.

Enjoyable and nice place to stay.

My family and I stayed for a long weekend while visiting some local state parks. The house was within 15 minutes of the two parks we visited. Upon arriving, we found the house clean, inviting, and very well stocked with all the supplies you could need. The back porch was a very relaxing spot where we spent our afternoons. The recreation room was a huge hit with the kids also! We would recommend this house with five stars and would stay again!

Along with our daughters and three grandchildren, we enjoyed the "Blue House" very much! The toys, games, and backyard playground were so fun for the 4- and 7-year old to explore. Easy access to Casey's convenience store for breakfast items and other essentials was great, too. Jared was a very responsive and helpful host. We appreciated the hospitality!

Needed a last min place and Scott accommodated us, we really appreciate how responsive and welcoming he is. Truly appreciate the last min help!!

Love staying at Pam's ....so peaceful

we could not stay due to a faulty hot water heater but Karen did everything to try to get it fixed so we had to leave but she refunded us our money right away. The home was very clean and smelled good and broke our hearts that we had to go else where since our bathroom at home was being remodeled. Great hostess in our opinion!!

It was our first trip to starved rock and we wanted to stay in a cozy Airbnb and Mary Jane's place was exactly what we needed. It was very welcoming, cozy, clean, peaceful and honestly, we felt like we were at home.
