Houseboat holiday rentals in Oudezijds Voorburgwal

We thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend aboard Johan's houseboat, in a great location in the Jordaan! It was an experience simply not available in a hotel or B&B. We drank morning coffee and late afternoon cocktails on the deck whle soaking up the few remaining days of late summer sun. It was ideally located close to neighborhood restaurants, shops, and even weekend organic food and flea market, and a short walk to tourist attractions in the old city center. If not up for a longer walk along the canal to the museum quarter and beyond, a public transportation options were always available nearby. Communication prior to arrival and during our stay was proactive and prompt. The inside of the houseboat was even more spacious than we anticipated, and the beds were comfortable. We'll definitely opt for a stay here during our next visit to Amsterdam!

This was one of my favorite stays I have done on Airbnb. The location was amazing, I felt so close to everything but it was never too loud. Having the dining area/outdoor area to spend time on really added to our time in Amsterdam. Will return!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anouk’s place. It was extremely comfortable for 4 people and had a wonderful living space that felt comfortable and homely. We loved having access to the bikes and despite having inclement weather it was an easy ride to the wonderful Zaanse Schans and the old windmills. Quintessential Amsterdam! The jewel on the crown was when the rain finally stopped, we were able to experience the stunning canal view from the moored boat at the back. Unfortunately the weather hadn’t permitted us to use the boat to explore the other canals but it is definitely something we would love to do on a future visit. Anouk was fabulous at communicating and left comprehensive information for us to make the most of the area. We loved dining at her favourite restaurant and probably made our mark as we were leaving! (Another story!) Ha! We definitely caught the spirit of the place! Could not recommend this highly enough. Thanks for a fabulous stay 🙏🏽❤️

We enjoyed our stay on Bauke’s houseboat. It has good connections via tram 26 to Amsterdam Centraal and to other parts of Amsterdam via several nearby tram stations. This is Bauke’s family home so it’s not as uncluttered as some might prefer. Also one of the beds is very tiny, not easy to sleep for adults but fine for a child. We enjoyed our stay!

Lilian was very friendly and nice, a great host! Our flight got in around 9 AM and Lilian allowed us to check in early which was great because of the jet lag. The boat was in the perfect location: a bit more private and quiet, but within walking distance to restaurants and shops. It was clean, pretty spacious in the living areas, and had everything you could want or need.

Mare's is a diamond host. She greeted us and had snacks ready for us. She opened the house boat and invited us to use the boat house like it was our own. The place matches the description. Rooms were like described. The living room was spacious and peaceful. The perfect setting to end a trip in Europe and relax. Internet speed was good and I was able to complete some pending items online. We used the kitchen a few times as it is well equipped to make and enjoy meals with the family. There is a grocery store near to purchase necessities. The house boat did not move like we thought it would move which offered a nice peaceful stay. There are restaurants, parks, and the Adams overlook is near by. The ferry's run around the clock and it is easy to get to either side. For us, the ferry and train were aligned that it took us 40 minutes to reach Schipol airport after leaving Mares boat house at 5am. Overall, great place.

The most fun boat house ever! It had a great little dock that you could jump in the canal from. Micheal was great and very friendly. Very unique experience, definitely the best airbnb.

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

We, three friends, spent three beautiful days in the floating house. The facility is modern and the house is well equipped. The terrace is also great, but not for people with arachnophobia. On the subject of cleanliness, there is still some room for improvement, but we still felt very comfortable.

We felt very comfortable. Great nature everywhere, very quiet, swimming opportunities and an ideal starting point especially for bike tours. Restaurants and supermarket nearby. I'm sure we'll be back.

Fern’s houseboat was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Airbnb ever. Interior was beautiful and well kept. Location was close to so many shops, restaurants and the tram. Fern was very helpful and always responsive. Pepper was easily my favorite part of the stay though 😊 🐈‍⬛ ❤️

Our stay at Claire’s place was nothing short of magical. The location is hard to beat in the heart of Jordaan, steps away from great Dutch cafes, every restaurant we ate at was within a ten minute walk, every one was fantastic. As well as minutes walk from transit. Somehow though being in the middle of everything, being on the water in this houseboat makes you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Claire has great taste, her home is designed impeccably, with one of the major highlights being the record player, listening to classics like the Beatles, Bowie, The Doors while sitting on the back porch taking in the incredible view of the canal. Bonus was the most efficient washer dryer I used during my 3 week stay in Europe and the large dishwasher. Had we stayed longer, we would have cooked, there was a fully stocked Chefs kitchen. Thanks for the perfect end to our adventure!

Mandy’s place was exactly as described and was really well equipped - the sauna was a great bonus. It was really clean and the surrounding lake was a great place to take a break from the bustle of central Amsterdam, as well as the town of Aalsmeer having everything you need for a relaxing break. 10/10 wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

A lovely houseboat out of the busy fray of Amsterdam with easily accessible public transportation, cafes and restaurants. The birdlife on the canal was a pleasure, including 5 recently hatched baby coots. Liz gave us proper food to give the parents and we enjoyed watching them feed their offspring. Great break from museums and all the activities of Amsterdam.

Valerio’s houseboat was incredible and a true highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. It was very big and had the cutest and most clever details throughout. We stayed a few places during our trip and we all agreed her houseboat was our favorite!!

What a great place! It is such an honor to be able to stay in a classical Amsterdam canal boat. You become part of the scene while you are enjoying the scene. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance of everything. There are great restaurants nearby and not far to the main museums. Patricia is a great host, and this place is a ‘traditional’ AirBnB in that this is her home that she moves out of to allow others to enjoy. In the heat we had during our stay she came and watered her outdoor plants, which we loved but did not pamper. She also shared some hidden gems of museums and restaurants that we would have missed. We would definitely stay here again.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. The cats were an added perk and we enjoyed having them around. The houseboat was peaceful and well furnished. We would stay there again when in Amsterdam.

I would highly recommend this airbnb. It was absolutely incredible. I was instantly transported into the Dutch fantasy staying on this gorgeous house boat. The bed was really comfy which is a big deal. The boat had the most insane views from every window. I feel like photos don’t do this place justice. It was quiet, peaceful, walking distance to everything. It felt very safe. The hosts were responsive. I would likely stay here again if I ever come back.

Staying on Vera's houseboat was an amazing experience. The boat is decorated so nicely, it was great to relax inside or sit on the porch. Vera and George were very friendly and it was great to meet them. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Well what can we say Erica's place was the perfect place for our netherlands honeymoon. beautiful houseboat and spending every evening on the deck watching the sunset was dreamy! the houseboat is beautiful, we really enjoyed it and the neighbours are lovely too! The houseboat looks just like the photos and Erica was incredible with providing any and all information we needed! We already agreed after 24hrs on the boat we'd definetly be coming back in the future!! thank you Erica your home is beautiful!! ❤️ the only reason we didn't give a full 5 stars on cleaning as there was cobwebs from the ceiling in the living room, bathroom and bedroom (we didn't contact the host about this as it was only a very MINOR thing as the rest of the place was spotless!)

The firmly anchored houseboat offers a great, relaxing view of the water, the sky and the marina opposite - through the large windows and the good furnishings, even directly from the bed. Everything is comfortably furnished and equipped and very clean, the check-in and the stored information are well thought out and organized. We had a relaxing time for two! (You should only be aware that the boat has a little "swell" in the wind, so it rolls a little in the water with the waves.)

We had a great stay! Great neighborhood and location (quiet/walkable, still easy to walk and bike to nearby attractions).
