Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Paunat

Nice modern and clean, comfortable and well-equipped accommodation. Good welcome, without constraints. The house is a short drive to all the must-see sights of Périgord Noir. A small downside however, the weather and the temperature were not ideal during our stay, it is no one's fault but unfortunately the house is not well equipped to warm it up. Only two small electric radiators in the bedrooms and bathroom. Not enough to warm up this lovely house with very high ceilings. There is a wood-burning stove but we were not allowed to use it. Too bad, a little fire would have been nice. Thank you very much to Marion for her responsiveness and courtesy. I highly recommend this listing. PHR

If you are looking for a big beautiful house for a family holiday, look no further! This house is spacious, beautifully decorated, located in a quiet countryside but only ten minute drive to a big supermarket. We enjoyed the indoor pool, outdoor Jacuzzi and playing boules. Photos don’t do the house justice. It exceeded our expectations. Would recommend staying here and we would not hesitate to stay again. Lise was very responsive in her communication. We drove through the night to get to the house and Lise kindly offered us a one off earlier check in, which we were grateful for.

This was a return to the Dordogne after a 25 year absence and it did not disappoint. It was a treat to stay in Ben’s wonderful property so close to the chateau at Beynac. The interior has been thoughtfully restored, remaining entirely in character with such a historic building but providing modern convenience. Its elevated position on the hillside is perfect for taking in the views and we especially enjoyed the terrace tucked at the back of La Maisonette which looks straight down and along the river. Thank you Ben - we had a great time.

Lovely modern home in a beautiful rustic setting, with chickens, cherry trees and a sweet little truffle hunting dog Lubie on site. Very gracious hosts who communicated well in English. Many charming towns nearby and 12-15 minutes from a good supermarket and shops in Le Bugue. The campground next door was like a cruise ship some evenings but all noise stopped by 11 pm. We loved everything about our stay. Merci!

Great stay at Nicolas and Isabelle's thanks to their beautifully renovated accommodation and warm welcome. Perfect for our group of 17, each enjoying their privacy and adapted common areas. Not to mention the beautiful exteriors. We'll be back!

Such an idyllic stay! The gîte is perfectly located amidst peaceful surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the middle of the French countryside. The garden is enormous, and was a lovely area for our little girl to run around. The pool area is very clean and looks new, located within the grounds , it’s a little walk from the gite but this is great for feeling of privacy. The gite itself is well equipped, clean, spacious and remains cool even when it’s very warm outside. A home away from home. It’s very easy to park outside the front. The local village is very picturesque with restaurants, boulangerie, mini supermarket. It’s a quick drive down, but was too far for us to walk, especially in the heat. Sarah was a fantastic host, was very easy to contact and responsive. Such a wonderful introduction to the Dordogne region for my family and I100% would recommend. Merci beaucoup pour tout, Sarah. Lovely rustic home, as described and shown. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. A short walk into the village although a shame some of the restaurants have closed, so check if you intend to eat out, Le Chai is a lovely traditional restaurant. Brigitte is close at hand, but lets you get on with your break. Plenty of places to visit nearby, some great bastide towns.

Caroline and Gilles are very warm and friendly hosts who were immediately available for questions. The listing is as described in the photos. It is a truly exceptional, very large apartment. The living room (formerly the station hall) resembles a museum, Caroline and Gilles have collected old station utensils and pictures and exhibited them there. The house and garden are lovingly restored and designed, the two have invested a lot of work (and money) to turn the old train station into a wonderful accommodation. There is nothing missing in the kitchen. The center of Le Bugue is about 1 km away, via the beautiful bike path "voie verte" it is 4 km. We enjoyed the bike tours and our accommodation very much. I also enjoyed the personal contact and a little "chat" in the evening, so I could once again use my "rusty" French skills. Thank you for everything!

A feel good experience! As a previous reviewer said, the property was hard to leave, from the great view down the valley from the elevated deck, to the super comfy, large bed. Without hesitation, would recommend it and the hosts’ hospitality. Diana & Derek

Fantastic location for exploring Bergerac. Beautiful apartment with all of the comforts and conveniences you would expect. The hot tub is a real bonus.

A very personal, warm welcome to a dreamlike refuge in a beautiful natural setting. The hosts left nothing to be desired and were always personally approachable and exceptionally helpful. Everything as described and the pool was fantastic. The surroundings offered many opportunities for chilling, sunbathing and barbecuing. We highly recommend this place. The only flaw in this paradise is the difficult access via stony field paths. We did it with a very cautious driving style.

From the moment we arrived it felt like home away from home, great location in the heart of Serlat, perfect for two couples, plenty of room, any questions asked where answered straight away, we were even able to stay an extra night which was great. Only one critic ! The bathroom with bath would be good if we could gang the shower head up ? That is my only critic, as the bath is amazing 🙂

Great location, within minutes walking to restaurants, attractions and main areas. Parking along the river is free and easy to access, about a minutes walk to apartment. The thick walls of the apartment, three layers of glass, kept out the heat and noise during a few very hot days in Périgueux. Apartment has all you need, and so much character. Lots to do in the region, easy driving to Brantome, Bourdielles and many other lovely towns. Lovely to meet Nicole, very friendly and welcoming.

We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation as well as its waterfront garden. A real haven of peace, ideal for relaxing with a magnificent view. Isabelle is a really nice person and offers rare services by their qualities. We can't wait to see her again! We recommend it without hesitation:)

It was a privilege to stay in this beautiful, medieval house in the heart of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Patricia is the most solicitous and generous host. I cannot recommend her studio highly enough.

We spent a night in Véronique's apartment to make a stop on the way to our vacation. The apartment is as described, clean and well-equipped with good bedding. The place is quiet and easy to find, on our arrival we were very well received by Véronique and we were able to chat together.

Stephanie was a fantastic host who was a pleasure to meet and taking the time to tell us about all the local places to visit and her apartment was ideally located for walking into Sarlat town centre in just a couple of minutes and it was a very enjoyable 3 day stay, thanks David and Teresa

Location is a gated community that has a mix of residents and rentals. Beautiful countryside view. close to town. 4 minute drive to Carrefour grocery store. Steep hill down to town would be challenging for some walkers. There were a number of stone outside steps up to the apartment level. Very clean inside the apartment with comfy beds. Water power in upstairs toilette was weak. Overall a great choice in Sarlat.

Lucia's place was very spacious and very clean.well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lucia always answered. our questions within ten minutes. The best host! I will definitely stay there again when I am in the area!

Sandrine and Pascal were very responsive to questions before booking. Pascal welcomed us with friendliness to this accommodation which perfectly matches the description given in the listing. 5 minutes from the historic center of Sarlat, this tastefully decorated apartment has all the comforts you need for a "cozy" stay at Sandrine and Pascal's. We would come back for a future stay in this beautiful Périgord Noir.

Sarlat was special to us! With Christmas approaching, it was complete. The city is small but charming! The Christmas market, very cheerful and welcoming, made a place in our hearts! It was a great place to choose and visit numerous sites in the region. The apartment is exactly as described. The cost-benefit was valuable to us. If I had known Sarlat before, as well as the apartment, I would spend Christmas there! It would have been magical! Thanks host! I'll be back if the world doesn't end first!

The village of Gensac is tucked away in the lovely Saint-Émilion countryside. The one-time convent feels like a special place, a quiet and peaceful retreat to return to after our days visiting Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, and environs. The suite is spacious, very clean, has useful amenities, and we settled in easily. A vase of fresh flowers on the dining table and a bottle of local wine were nice touches that we especially appreciated. John was a helpful, informative, and friendly host. We enjoyed meeting him and will remember our stay there fondly. Thank you, John.
