Beachfront holiday rental in Pavones

fantastic small house with tranquil and almost abandoned beach at the end of the Costa Rica, just friendly reminder, if you’re not renting the whole house owner is staying downstairs, which was not problem at all

Absolutely amazing this home is! For a surfer it’s heaven. Located near the point at Pavones it’s a short walk to an easy paddle out at the point and let the current take you the length of the wave. Also centrally located where you either walk across the river or bridge to the local town center or market and few restaurants that are in town. Loved the random dog showing up to say hi too! The property is like a jungle setting. Gorgeous! The home was big enough for my teenagers and young adult kids to roam around and feel at home. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean as well! The kitchen was perfect using gas rather than electric portable stoves too. There also was an outdoor bbq which we used almost everyday. When in the jungle surfing all day it was an absolute joy to cool off in the pool! Overall an amazing stay at this paradise of a home!!! If it’s available this sanctuary will be top of my list of places to stay in Pavones!!! Paraiso Pura vida!!!!!!!!!

We loved staying again! The location is perfect for us - both on the beautiful beach, and near the point. The house is set up just right to enjoy with friends with large gathering spaces, and still have some space of your own. We appreciate the care taken before arrival - the house is spotless, and has a homey feel with coffee and staples to get you started. Thank you for another terrific extended stay! We'll see you again!

Magical and thoughtfully designed spaces in a tranquil area away from the surf crowd but just a short drive away from more populous areas if you wish. Yoga deck is perfect and looks out to Golfo Dulce so you can listen to waves as you flow. 💯% recommend.

The location is great, few doors down to a supermarket and few restaurants. The property is beachfront and private. It’s more worth than what I paid for. Ana is a really nice person and eager to help. I’ll be back!

Paz is a special place and Roberto is a wonderful host. The floor to ceiling screens in the living room/dining room situate you right in the secondary forest. Heaven for nature loving bird nerds. If you’ve spent time on the Osa before, you know Howler monkeys wake you at 4:30am. We watched howler, spider, and squirrel monkeys from bed. The beach is a minute walk. A covered porch with hammocks and chairs to enjoy the beautiful Gulfo Dulce. And a small pool to cool off in (key) and watch Macaws, capuchin monkeys, hermit crabs & the waves. We bought groceries in Puerto Jimenez and cooked most of meals for the week. Kitchen has big fridge, sharp knives, and worked well for us. Marluna Lodge (5 min drive) for Taco Tuesday. Visited local surf breaks and surfed the right point break out front of Paz. Tide dependent. Roberto can help you figure it out. Roberto was very attentive, warm, and helpful. He’s created a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the world.

From the drive to the house, to the views of the ocean, to the sound of nature…. Magical place. Felt seriously sad when we left. Kim is really responsive and helpful!

Amazing peaceful house surrounded by nature right in front of matapalo surf point. Very peaceful, lots of animals during the day and during the night. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are very nice.

Beautiful cabin in the middle of the jungle, monkeys and birds seen from the bed. With hikes around in a totally beautiful and conserved environment, we rode with Paulo, an excellent guide who gave us an unforgettable experience

Came here with my family of four and another family of three. It was a great place to stay and everyone was very comfortable. We saw spider monkeys right out front, rented boogie boards and enjoyed the delicious breakfasts. We would definitely stay here again on a trip down to Pavones.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this exceptional property. Everything was just as we anticipated the staff was kind and thoughtful. Luis one of grounds keepers was especially nice and even help my 7 and 6 yr old pick fresh mangos most days. Friendly Horses visited us each morning grazing on the property grounds. Will definitely be back to enjoy this property in the future.

This was our first time renting an Airbnb in a foreign country, so we were a little nervous. Charles was super helpful and responsive during the whole trip. He gave us great recommendations, scheduled our excursions, and answered all of our questions. The main thing we wanted to do was to go offshore fishing. Charles hooked us up with two great captains (Louis and Donald (Dos Mas), and we had a great day of fishing. The house is located just a very short walk from the pier where you catch the boat. There are also several good restaurants that are within a short walk from the house. We also did an off-road drive and a short hike to the King Louis waterfall, tour of chocolate farm, and went surfing with Keilor (Lakos surf shop in town). We would recommend all of these activities highly. This was a great trip and we had a party of 6 from age 7 to 71. The fishing was amazing.

Perfect place right on Backwash bay. Great place to be for surfing and exploring. Kitchen had all the necessities to cook anything you wanted to. Downstairs shower was bright, open and felt just like showering in the jungle. Nice hot water on the lower level as well. Property was very clean and maintained which is important while staying in the jungle. Thanks Sandy!

We loved our stay here. It’s beautiful and quiet. Just a heads up when people say you need a 4x4, YOU DO! The roads are rough! And don’t go at night! We had a hard time finding it, But once you get there it’s glorious! Never worried about animals coming in. What an experience! Would come back again but next time we’ll bring some games.

By far one of my favorite stays in Costa Rica! The house is great, exactly as seen in the photos. The house’s open air concept, proximity to the beach with its ocean breezes, and the 2 ceiling fans in the common spaces, kept the house very cool and comfortable. Also the fact that each bed had a private fan made the nights very comfortable as well. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in (we cooked almost all our meals at the house). Although there are a couple good restaurant options nearby as well, which is a bonus. The host and property manager (Patricia and Anthony) were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!!

My girlfriend and I were in La Santina for 11 nights and we had an amazing time! The kitchen is perfectly equipped, the room with A/C is extremely spacious and comfortable and of course the projector detail gives it a special touch for the evenings! Carmen is extremely helpful and attentive, responds quickly and is very kind! La Santina is 100% recommended!

Ana Y Manuel's place is extremely special. It's spacious and has lots of room, and is steps from the beach. They were such beautiful hosts and i got into many beautiful conversations with Manuel and felt very comfortable and safe with Ana. They were so incredibly generous and patient, teaching me about the planta in their garden and offering fruits homegrown from their trees. I would definitely return here. *i would recommend speaking spanish or atleast being willing to learn. Ana Y Manuel are a local couple and are grateful to be able to communicate in the language they know best! Muchas gracias Ana y Manuel, à la proxima vez!

This place is truly special, a beautiful Airbnb nestled in nature, offering peace and tranquility. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Jenn is an outstanding host who made us feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. She provided excellent recommendations and went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in the area, and we genuinely hope to return soon!

Amazing host and amazing property ! We had such an incredible time staying here. The wildlife, the sound of the waves, and the walkability to the beach and to Martina’s restaurant were so great. We will definitely be back and highly recommend booking this home!

Jose is an excellent host and his place is also excellent. Above all, we loved the rooms and the unbeatable location since it is practically in front of the beach. Everything was great.

Absolutely beautiful property, walk right out to pan dulce for surf. Howler monkeys were a treat to wake up to. Felt fully immersed in the jungle.

We had a very nice stay with Joanna with our two children. House, garden and the proximity to the beach are fantastic. Highly recommended especially for families! However, the location shown in the display is not in accordance with reality, which is why we had great problems finding the property.

If you are seeking immersion in nature and being in tune with natural cycles, this is the perfect place to slow down and just be. I loved waking up a little after 5am naturally as the light just started to break, hearing the sound of the waves and howler monkeys and cicadas. I could see the ocean from my unit, and it was nice to be able to walk along the beach or take a swim to cool off. The place looks exactly like the photos. My glamping unit was very clean and simple yet nicely decorated with plenty of shelves to put my belongings. It was so nice to have a fully equipped and pristine kitchen with plenty of space to store my food. I was delighted watching the monkeys every single day. There are many birds (hawks, scarlet maccaws). And a coati scampered right by me as I sat on my patio drinking coffee early one morning. The hosts are so nice and take very good care of the place, ensuring it remains a peaceful stay for everyone and is respectful of nature and wildlife.

We had such a wonderful stay!! The hosts were absolutely lovely and so welcoming🤗 The bus was clean and comfortable, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!! 🌴🇨🇷
