Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Pavones

Nadiah’s place looks amazing in photos but in real life it’s something else! The view is absolutely breathtaking. Property itself is thoughtfully designed, modern and airy, and comes furnished with everything you might need for your stay. We will absolutely be back here. Pool deck is the real star of the show with a nice sized pool overlooking the ocean and providing the most beautiful sunsets. Location is very private and absolutely worth the drive up. Be advised you will need a real 4x4 to get up comfortably. We rented a Land Cruiser and never had any issues on the road up. Pavones in general is my new favorite place in Costa Rica. People are friendly and living the Pura Vida! This place is free from major hotels and resorts, if you’re into supporting the local businesses like we are, you will enjoy it. We went surfing with Coco who runs a company called Cocodrone. Highly recommend him for your surfing lessons.

Naturaleza y Gracia was the perfect place to enjoy the amazing animals in the OSA Peninsula with close by access to surfing at a few different locations and Martina’s restaurant Nextdoor. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make an amazing dinner and the gardens, pool, and yoga shelter were beautiful and well maintained. We were greeted by multiple types of monkeys, macaws, and more each day! Thank you so much!

Amazing peaceful house surrounded by nature right in front of matapalo surf point. Very peaceful, lots of animals during the day and during the night. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom are very nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Punta Preciosa. The location is beautiful and private. The beach was virtually deserted most of the time. The swimming was fantastic and it was also nice to walk along the sandy beach early in the morning and watch the Scarlet Macaws and other birds. Pascal was an excellent host. He was very responsive to my inquiries and often responded within the hour. He has created a very helpful digital welcome book which you receive access to after booking. He helped arranged excellent tours for us, all of which I would recommend - kayak tour of the mangrove, boat And snorkelling tour of the Gulf, a night walk and a trip to Corcovado. The house is very nice and is tastefully and comfortably furnished. The gas stove and oven took some figuring out but worked well. There is no microwave or dishwasher. The main floor is open to the air so there were some insects at night but using the fan and insect repellent helped. We would love to go back again.

We loved our stay here! Silvina is great and immediately met us upon arrival. The house is super cute and has everything one needs to be comfortable. The beds are comfortable with nice fans to keep cool at night and we enjoyed the complete kitchen to make all of our meals. The outdoor seating area was our favorite spot to hang and have all of our meals. We loved being able to see all of the incredible wildlife right from the house...monkeys, scarlet macaws, tons of birds and more. The beach is right out front and we enjoyed hearing the sounds of the waves in the background. Silvina is a wonderful hostess and makes you feel right at home and welcome. We loved it here and are already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip back down to this special area. Thank you for everything!

Loved this house. Quiet and hidden away. It had everything we needed, lovely upper terrace, spacious rooms, well stocked kitchen. Location was great. Will stay there again. Alonso the caretaker was also great. Thanks Danny!

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

I stayed here for a month with friends and it was the perfect place to feel at home. The house is incredibly well-located (just a short drive from the best surf or a close walk to a nearby beach) and very comfortable. The porch was probably the best part - you feel fully immersed in nature with views of monkeys, toucans, macaws. An ideal place to disconnect. Not to mention, the property grounds are stunning. Kate and Deb were extremely communicative and helpful throughout the stay. Any minor issues were addressed immediately. The staff on site were also 10/10. I hope to be back soon!

First we were a bit worried by the previous rather negative reviews, but it was totally fine after all. The couch had been repaired and the pots and pans are new. The place is quite remote and the driveway really long and steep, so we totally recommend to have a good car (ideally 4x4). With the remoteness comes a lot of wildlife - we saw so many birds, two types of monkeys and other animals right next to the perch. We brought good binoculars, which made it even better. Later on we did a jungle tour on the Osa peninsula and we were astounded by how many animals we already had seen on the perch in Pavones. The place is quite small. We looked at the pictures again and they don’t give a wrong impression, but for whatever reason we had expected a bigger place. Not the hosts fault. Looking back on our trip to Costa Rica, our stay at the Bird Perch was definitely a high light!

We are grateful for all the service and friendliness of Mr. Rafael. I help and guide us quickly to look for what to do based on our interests. He put us in touch with guides for tours and was always available to help us with any questions or concerns. The recommendations for places to eat were excellent, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in a restaurant nearby. Everything was quite clean and tidy. The balcony is great for passing the time, seeing the sea or the sunrise. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking and is spacious. The bathroom is equally clean, spacious and with good lighting. The beds in the rooms are super comfortable and the air conditioning was luxurious. Highly recommended for tourists or locals who want to live a unique experience and be close to the beach with wonderful views. Also, if you are a nature lover you can find a lot of wildlife in the surroundings like birds and frogs.

We love our stay at this stay. We found everything we needed to have an excellent rest in Golfito.

We had a great stay at the apartment. Because we had a very early rise to go into Corcovado national park Alberto really helped by letting our car stay on the fenced parking lot and make clear arrangements for the pickup. If you’re looking for a comfortable place in Puerto Jiménez, this is a great option that I recommend!

The location is great, few doors down to a supermarket and few restaurants. The property is beachfront and private. It’s more worth than what I paid for. Ana is a really nice person and eager to help. I’ll be back!

The place is very nice, the host is always attentive and very kind!! Maybe the only thing missing would be an air conditioning haha because of the heat in Puerto Jiménez but out of there very nice everything!

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Patrick and Suzanne are truly wonderful hosts, warm, welcoming, and incredibly caring. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel right at home. The space was beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful, they are super responsive and helpful just what we needed. We would come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended and so worth it! 💘

I had a great stay! The space was extremely clean, organized, and very comfortable. Everything matched the listing description, and it was clear the host takes great care of the property. I really appreciated the attention to detail and how easy everything was during my stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

I loved this little place. It’s a great cozy spot for a single person or a couple. The landscaping is beautiful, and I enjoyed cooking in the little kitchen. The two large sliding glass doors downstairs let in a nice breeze and make you feel connected to the natural surroundings. Upstairs, the bedroom has a comfortable bed, cool AC, and a great view of the trees and pastures. Stefanie was quick to respond whenever I had questions, which helped when I couldn't figure out how to open the gate for the first time. Being able to walk to the store and beach is very convenient. I’d love to come back again.

This was our second time staying at Frank’s place, and it was just as wonderful as the first. We were a group of five and found everything we needed—super clean, spacious, and well-equipped with air conditioning, fans, a washing machine, and a full kitchen setup. The house is in a beautiful, quiet area with a lovely garden, and the location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach and close to two amazing surf spots. All that, plus a great price! Thank you again, Frank—we’ll definitely be back!

The truth is, it's a very good accommodation, quiet and spacious to spend time with the family. We were lucky that the neighbors weren't there, so we had the whole villa to ourselves. Haha, it's really relaxing. The perfect pool and Mr. Orlando's service was very good. I would only recommend improving the cleanliness of the apartment, but it is still excellent for the price paid.

Very nice place a short drive from the waves. Apartment was clean and comfortable and the hosts were friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
