Nestled in the heart of the Normandy countryside, the Little Cider Barn takes pride of place in the grounds of Appletree Hill gites, it is the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy time together. Close to the historic town of Villedieu les Poeles, less than an hour from Mont St Michel, the D day beaches, just half an hour to some of the most spectacular coastline in lower Normandy.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Happy Valley is situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside at the end of a no-through road so no noisy passing traffic! It shares the site with our main home and 2 other gites. We're about 45 minutes from Mont St Michel; an hour from Bayeaux, Caen, Mayenne and Fougeres. It's another half an hour to the famous D-Day beaches. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do and of course lots of French markets and vide-greniers!

Norman Cottage in the heart of the Vire Valley

Ancienne Baronnie, cette maison récemment rénovée n'attend plus que vous. Datant du 18ième siècle, cette maison était connue de tout le village et encore aujourd'hui beaucoup d'habitants se rappellent y avoir passé un moment. La rénovation a porté sur la mise en valeurs des matériaux naturels (bois, pierre) en ajoutant un côté moderne. Emplacement stratégique à mi-distance du Mont St Michel et des plages du débarquement, nous serons ravis de vous conseiller lors de votre séjour.

L’endroit est idéal pour faire une pause entre les plages du débarquement et le mont St Michel. A proximité vous pourrez découvrir l’abbaye d’Hambye, Villedieu les Poêles cité du cuivre et sa célèbre fonderie de cloches et le zoo de Champrepus. Coutances avec son festival jazz sous les pommiers en mai (8 au 16 mai 2026) se situe à 30 minutes en voiture.
