Our first stay at the Bunkhouse was a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt an immediate sense of warmth and hospitality. Drew and Emily went above and beyond to make us feel at home, even leaving farm-fresh eggs in the fridge — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. The house was clean, tidy, and charmingly simple, offering all the basic comforts we needed. While it may not have every modern amenity, its rustic charm and rich family history gave it a unique and inviting character that we genuinely appreciated. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the guided trail ride on two of their gentle Tennessee Walking horses. Riding through the breathtaking Kentucky countryside was both peaceful and awe-inspiring — an experience that horse lovers will especially treasure. If you’re looking for a relaxing rural escape and a chance to connect with nature and horses, the Bunkhouse is a wonderful choice. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

House was perfect for myself, husband and son and great location for what we wanted to do which was tour the perryville civil war battlefield! We really enjoyed our stay. House comfortable, clean with large open living area. Would definitely stay again

Sylvia and John are SUPER super hosts! Their home is lovely – filled with antiques and very homey. Extremely clean. Sylvia went out of her way to contact us every day to make sure we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail is superb. We felt so comfortable and slept like babies in their very comfortable beds. We will be back.
