Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Pickens County

We went to Big Canoe for a wedding and rented Chase's ABB. He was the most gracious host and answered every question I had almost immediately! My cousin stayed in another ABB and complained they had to bring their own toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, etc. Chase's ABB provides everything just like a nice hotel would, but you're in a house that feels like you're home! Sitting on the porch listening to the waterfall was so relaxing. We did a little hike down to check it out, and it had a rock slide. Later, I heard some boys sliding down and yelling happily. I wish I had been able to do it! Maybe next time! Getting ready for the wedding was just like we were at our own home. There really aren't enough positive things I can say about Chase and his ABB!! We had the best time and are already planning to go back!

It was a lovely quick getaway from Atlanta. So peaceful and quiet in the community of Big Canoe. We played 9 holes on the Cherokee golf course which was pristine and had some magnificent views. We ate at a local restaurant "Home" in Marble Hill that was recommended by Brian. The meal was outstanding. The home was nestled among trees and we felt like we were in a tree house. Would definitely recommend.

This home exceeded our expectations! We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and it was absolutely perfect. The views are stunning, the cabin is cozy, and the kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Mary was very responsive and answered any questions we had and the check in process was easy. The roads up to the cabin are extremely steep, just something to be prepared for but did not impact our stay at all. Would definitely stay here again!

Jeff’s place was exactly as described and matched the pictures. We had more than enough space for our family of 8. We really enjoyed celebrating our 2 y/o bday here. So much so we all agreed we’d come back to celebrate other times together here! Thank you again

We love staying in Big Canoe, and this place was so clean, well stocked, and had the perfect screened porch to relax on in the mornings and evenings. We can’t wait to return!

What a delightful place to stay. Plenty of room for the seven of us. It was great having the choice of playing ping pong, billiards, and such. Hiking was close by, and we were able to see multiple falls. So beautiful and peaceful.

The host Kenny was amazing. His cabin accommodated my family of 5 needs in space, location, bedrooms and baths. The scenery in this community and around this cabin was fantastic. Especially seeing deer everywhere. Big Canoe as a community is phenomenal and very family orientated. Lots to do . Can’t wait to plan another vacation here.

Kristen & Mike were fantastic hosts!! From communication prior to arrival to throughout our stay they were always available and super helpful! Mike was able to walk me through getting the fire started in the living room since the pilot light was turned off which was great! They even came up Saturday (an hour drive for them) to help us with a complication with the hot tub (which was truly just due to our own inexperience with hot tubs not an actual malfunction) which was truly going above and beyond! Their home has the perfect layout with a bedroom on every floor with private bathrooms + a half bath off the kitchen area! We loved every space & the beds were SUPER comfy!!! We felt right at home the whole trip and will definitely be coming back!

The Cane Patch is our ‘Go to’ place when we are staying in Dahlonega. We love this place and rent it at least twice a year without fail. Ross and Evelyn are Super Hosts, have a hidden gem of a place, and have become our very good friends now for almost a decade. Walkable to town, the UNG campus, and any type of restaurant that you desire, this is the place to stay. Highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I went on a Georgia get away and stayed at this amazing place for three nights. It was wonderful. The family that lived there was extremely friendly and welcoming while still respecting our privacy. The house sits beautifully on a gorgeous mountain that was close to great hikes with amazing views and not too far from downtown Ellijay. Overall it was an amazing trip due to this beautiful spot friendly host and sweet city.

Everything you would want at a home and more! Maryland took in mind every detail while creating the perfect hosting spot. We needed nothing, everything needed was in the home! By far the best home we've stayed in and host! Super friendly and her place was super clean and quiet. Definitely a place worth booking of you're looking to get away and experience relaxation and all the amenities this place has to offer.

Awesome weekend at Constance’s Airbnb! So relaxing.

What a beautiful setting. We wished it had been warmer to enjoy the patio and the view. Kitchen was well stocked and Lana had left us some yummy pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for breakfast. We would love to stay in December but unfortunately it is booked for one of the nights we are interested in. We would definitely stay here again. So peaceful!

STUNNING! This Air BnB is beautiful on the inside and out. The apartment is immaculately clean and well cared for. Things felt very new. The bed, pillows, and couch were all very comfortable, the AC was cool (and completely adjustable) and the water got to a nice hot temperature. There is a beautiful view and we could see horses grazing and lots of birds. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt very safe, but still very close to restaurants, gas stations, etc. This was a great stop-over spot on our road trip— 45 mins from Atlanta, another 20 to Dahlonega or 45 straight to Helen. I would definitely stay here again and recommend!

My wife and I felt at home the moment we walked in. Comfortable, cozy and the location is amazing. The ability to walk throughout town and appreciate the local surroundings is wonderful. Thank you to Cynthia and Rose for hosting us.

Enjoyed it!

We enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect location for our wedding weekend. Very close to Lake Arrowhead church and clubhouse. I would be happy to recommend Debora's condo to friends and family. Beautifully decorated and she provides everything you need to be right at home. Comfortable beds a big plus! I loved seeing all the deer 🥰

We had a wonderful one-month stay here. The house was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped, which made our stay very convenient. The location is quiet and has a high level of safety, allowing us to feel at ease throughout our stay. The host Diane and Jarrett were very friendly and responded to messages promptly. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend this place!

The airbnb itself was extremely nice and relaxing. The balcony view is pretty, the bathtub is amazing, and the master bed is very comfy. The trails are well maintained and beautiful. However, the clubhouse is closed until September 2025, which we were not informed about prior to our stay. All activities except hiking the trails cost money. Even though there is a beach area at the lake you can't swim in it. There are numerous rules while staying at the resort, some of them understandable, some of them a bit much. I would give the airbnb itself 5 stars but the resort a 2 during our stay.

A very nice place just a short walk from downtown Dahlonega! Stacy thought of everything! I came up for the Bear on the Square festival and it was the perfect place to be close to the action. I would say it felt like home, but honestly the Boyd Nest is nicer than my actual house haha. I just wish I had been able to spend more time there!
