House holiday rentals in Pico Island

No words can describe our experience at this amazing vila. It was absolutely amazing: the house itself is very well located, the views are stunning. Marcos and Diana were very helpful in everything we needed. Pico island is an amazing place on earth and to get to know the island like we did was only possible with this 5 star accommodation. We chilled, we had swims in the infinity pool, had great barbecues…I will be back for sure. Thanks to all the staff and especially to Marcos for all the hospitality and kindness.

Great view, modern and well equipped house. Each bedroom has an own bathroom which is great + everything looks like in the pictures. The host was very flexible with the check-in and there were some welcome snacks and water upon arrival. We would come back :)

He's probably the best host that I ever had the pleasure of working with. He is so nice and sincere. I arrived with a laundry list of travel issue none related to his air bnb or really his concern. He even helped me after I checkee out. Seriously nicest man ever. The place is clean and great parking. It's small but perfect for when exploring the island. Do yourself a favor and book it now.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this Airbnb above Madelena. It was a great choice to stay on the outskirts. Stunning view from the house: lovely to spend time outside with a book or just watching the sun set over the ocean and island. The house itself is very comfortable and had everything we needed.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit bei Jörg und Plonja! Der Empfang war herzlich, die Kommunikation super unkompliziert. Alles war außergewöhnlich sauber – so gepflegt haben wir keine andere Unterkunft auf den Azoren erlebt. Die Betten sind sehr bequem, Bäder und Küche top, der Außenbereich mit Pool, Sauna und Meerblick ein Traum. Trotz Nähe der Gastgeber hat man volle Privatsphäre. Wir haben das Haus und den grossen Garten inklusiv Outdoor-Küche und Pool sehr genossen. Die ruhige Lage und die sehr gute Ausstattung der Küche haben wir sehr geschätzt. Alles war wie beschrieben und die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt. Alles bestens, vielen Dank!

We had a wonderful stay in Nico’s house. The view cannot be beat! The house was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. Nico was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of local restaurants and activities. He also personally met us at the ferry terminal to help us get settled on Pico as well as showing us where the grocery store and bakery was. House was quiet and all the amenities including some Pico treats to greet us. Highly recommend!

Il est évident qu'il s'agit d'une construction faite pour la location. Tout est pour le "look" et le fonctionnel est manquant à plusieurs endroits. Exemple: il n'y a aucun crochet pour suspendre le linge ou les serviettes dans les salles de bains. Vous devez donc déposer votre linge par terre pour prendre une douche. Il en va de même pour la disposition des objets dans les pièces et la cuisine. Ceci dit l'endroit est bucolique, calme et reposant. Les paysages sont sublimes. Le tout est beaucoup plus intéressant qu'une chambre d'hôtel et convient très bien à une famille malgré ses petits défauts. L'hôte a été d'une grande disponibilité pour répondre à nos questions.

La ville de Manadas est très jolie et centrale de toutes les attractions. Le stationnement était très pratique, plusieurs personnes se stationnent dans les rues étroites et je n'aurais jamais osé en faire autant. Manadas, comme la plupart des villes de São Jorge, n'est pas une ville piétonne. Il n'y a pas de trottoirs ni d'accottements, et il faut dire que les pentes abruptes peuvent ralentir nos ardeurs. Nous sommes allés à l'église à pieds et c'était assez sportif. Il faut donc prendre la voiture pour aller au marché, mais c'est le cas de toutes les villes de l'île de toute façon. Le logement était bien situé, au calme, et était très confortable. Antonio a été très réactif et accommodant et a fourni plusieurs informations utiles quant aux festivités en cours et à l'ouverture des supermarchés pendant les jours fériés.

Ficámos super bem instalados na casa do Germano! As camas eram super confortáveis, dormimos lindamente e acordámos frescos todos os dias. Nota-se o cuidado nos detalhes, tudo super limpo e a cozinha super bem equipada, tinha tudo o que precisávamos. O Germano também foi impecável nas sugestões locais, acertou em cheio, tanto nos sítios para comer como nos passeios. Sentimo-nos mesmo em casa. Totalmente recomendado.

This apartment exceeded all my expectations. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, even for a longer period. The view from the terrace is unbeatable — perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and some local cheese. Communication with Sónia was easy and pleasant. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone who loves peace and quiet combined with beautiful nature.

I’ve had three fantastic nights at Adega do Garajau. The house is very rustic, cosy and well equipped for a comfortable stay. The place is super clean and well taken care of. The location is spectacular just by the ocean with uninterrupted views of the water and across the water views of Sao Jorge island. All in all I am super happy choosing this lovely and charming adega and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful and convenient base to explore the island of Pico!

Superbe logement dans un endroit très tranquille. Très propre et bien équipé pour cuisiner. L’hôte nous a même laissé plusieurs produits locaux à l’arrivée. Très belle piscine naturelles à distance de marche. Je recommande fortement ce logement. Nous nous y sommes senti comme chez nous dès l’arrivée.

We love the house. Marcelo was very friendly and hospitable. He welcomed us with a bottle of white wine, a loaf of bread, a big chunk of cheese, and a big bottle of water. He has provided lots of information regarding restaurants and sights. The house is very conveniently located. It is near the airport, close by to the ferry station and wine museum and restaurants and hiking trails. We had a wonderful stay. Thanks!

Alles war perfekt, die Unterkunft ist schön eingerichtet, der Ausblick ist der Wahnsinn! Teilweise saßen wir mit dem vorhandenen Fernglas nur draußen und konnten Delfine beobachten! Die Natur-Pools sind auch auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.

We hebben enorm genoten in het huis van Montserrat. Huis is erg warm ingericht en voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Montserrat is erg vriendelijk in communicatie en behulpzaam bij oplossen van een probleempje. Ook het uitzicht is prachtig. Ik kan het huis van harte aanraden om Faial te verkennen!

Laura ist sehr nett und witzig. Sie hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist herrlich, wir hatten eine super Zeit auf Pico, auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren, wenn auch leider viel zu kurzen Aufenthalt in Ivans wunderschönem Haus. Selten sehen bei Airbnb Unterkünfte noch besser aus als auf den Fotos, aber bei Ivan stimmte einfach alles. Da unsere Airline uns den Flug nach Pico storniert hatte, kamen wir viel später als geplant erst am späten Abend an, aber Ivan war die ganze Zeit via Nachrichten für uns da und begrüßte uns auch nach 22 Uhr noch unglaublich herzlich und zeigte uns sein wundervolles Haus, in dem auch schon ein paar hausgemachte Leckereien auf uns warteten. Der Meerblick vor der Terrasse ist einfach wundervoll! Leider waren wir viel zu kurz auf der Insel, um noch mehr Zeit dort zu verbringen und mehr von Ivans Empfehlungen zu folgen, aber wir kommen bestimmt wieder und würden dann immer wieder hier übernachten wollten. Danke dir für alles, lieber Ivan!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich traumhaft schön und man hat sich direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. 😍 Man ist direkt am Meer. Ohne Mietwagen ist diese Unterkunft jedoch nicht zu empfehlen, da diese knapp 25 Minuten Autofahrt von Madalena und somit von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants entfernt ist. Wer jedoch wie wir, die Ruhe liebt, ist genau richtig. Nachts ist die Ruhe jedoch weniger, da azoreanische Enten auf Nestsuche einen wach halten. 😅 Alles in allem dennoch empfehlenswert. 🙃

Mizé & Estela's Haus war wunderschön! Nicht nur die Lage und der atemberaubende Blick auf das Ocean und zur Nachbarinsel Sao Jorge, sondern auch das Design und die Ausstattung des Hauses hat uns uns sehr sehr gut gefallen. In diesem Haus hat man einfach alles was man für einen perfekten Urlaub braucht. Auch das Restaurant Magma in der Nachbarschaft können wir Herzens empfehlen. Ein herzliches Dank auch an Helena, die sich um alles gekümmert hat und immer erreichbar gewesen ist. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Rainer + Anikó

Fijn en warm ingericht appartement waar je je gelijk thuis voelt met prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan! Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Locatie is prima om het eiland te verkennen. Marianna is een zeer plezierige en behulpzame vrouw met goede tips. Aanrader!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit großartiger Aussicht von der Terrasse! Das Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation vorab war äußerst unkompliziert und angenehm. Definitiv eine Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt auf Pico!

Unbelievable stay in this beautiful cottage. Dan was so kind showing us around the garden and letting our son feed the chickens. He gave great recommendations. The house is in the most amazing setting with the village walkable down a lovely path. Highly recommended!

Wir hatten bei Susana einen fantastischen Aufenthalt. Susana war super nett und hilfsbereit. Ein toller Gastgeber. Das Haus von Susana ist gut gelegen, 2-3min zu Fuß entfernt ist ein toller Platz zum Baden. Zu der wunderschönen Hochebene beim Berg Pico, ist es mit dem Auto nicht weit und auch zum Whale Watching ist es nicht weit. Im Haus war alles was man braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
