Villa bella vista

A perfect location and a beautiful house! We wished we had booked for longer. The views were incredible with the most beautiful sunsets. Maria was the perfect host - really helpful and so welcoming. The house was spotless and charming - we felt totally at home during our stay. Can’t wait to come back.

Sunset by the sea 1

We had excellent time at Romana’s place: it is light, cozy, neat, with a magical seaview ☺️ The flat had everything we needed and is located just three minutes away from a beach. We would love to stay there again next year!

"Terrazza Blu": apartment in a villa in Caminia

JeffRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Book it! If you're considering this area of Calabria and you love beautiful views of the ocean, a quiet/peaceful small beach village vibe, and easy access to many of the nearby beaches, busier cities (e.g. Soverato and Catanzaro), and historical sites, THIS is your perfect spot. The views are spectacular (even better than the photos, if that's possible) - we woke each morning to the sunrise, enjoyed coffee while watching the sea birds, and the hearing the gentle waves hit the rocks below. Federico (Gabriella's son) was very helpful on anything we needed in terms of local restaurants, shops, etc. Definitely visit Alta Marea seafood shop for local seafood. And L'Arte del Grano for freshly baked bread. We can't wait to return!

The deck is amazing! The apartment is well furnished. Nothing is missing in the kitchen. In the ARD supermarket opposite, you can get everything - even on Sundays. Good starting point excursions and hikes. Great beds!

casa il gelso Apartment Ciappina

Staying with Guiseppe was really amazing. The house is beautiful - the view of the sea breathtaking, the garden designed with a lot of love and attention to detail, the apartment sparkling clean and equipped with everything you could ask for and a fantastic pool as a crowning glory. However, we will remember the stay particularly well because of Giuseppe himself - such a pleasant, likeable and accommodating person - a perfect host and gentleman, thanks to whom we immediately felt welcome and at home soon. A presto, Pino.

Casa Penelope, Ionian coast, Calabria vacation

CharlotteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The building is right in the centre of lovely old Guardavalle - a very old hill town with a couple of restaurants and a bakery as well as a fruit shop and small grocery store etc. The apartment is very spacious and beautifully, simply decorated. Concetta has gone to a lot of effort to include small details that really make a difference, like a nice teapot, a toaster, spare bin bags and foil etc. She even had a delicious homemade cake waiting for us on our arrival and some home-grown fruits - a lovely welcome. We'd highly recommend the apartment as long as you're ok with some noise at it's on one of the main streets and is above a bar that had some lively customers who were at it until late each night. The area is stunning - full of citrus and olive groves, but a car is obviously a must. The roads leading up to some of the gorgeous hilltop towns like Stilo and Badolato are very windy and high but are generally well kept and have barricades that make it feel safer!
