A peaceful and comfortable place. The ac was such a relief from the 90+ temps outside, which made sleeping so comfortable. The first night there was a power outage. We since learned this is very unusual for more than a a couple minutes. But maybe pack a little battery fan just in case. So far it's our favorite spot to stay in Guasacate. Very spacious, peaceful, and secluded.. The stars were beautiful. Ian and Sydney answered any questions we had promptly. 5 stars!

Beautiful new house about a 1 minute walk to the main break at Colorado's. Very happy with the stay. Would absolutely stay here again. Air conditioning worked great. The space was clean and comfortable. Great place!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this place!! The home is beyond beautiful and we enjoyed having two floors and access to anything we needed. The location is the shortest walk to the beach with gorgeous views and surf lessons in close proximity. We would stay here again!!

The property is nestled in the heart of the Iguana community, close to the golf course. I truly enjoyed the privacy and peacefulness of the area. I fell in love with the design and the open layout of the living room, with its beautiful view of the trees. The local services are excellent—you can arrange for sourdough bread deliveries and pick up fresh fruit from the weekly market drop-off. I was able to work remotely with reliable Wi-Fi while still enjoying a fun surf vacation with friends. Aurelie was incredibly responsive and easy to reach, both by phone and in person at the property.

My family and I enjoyed a few days of rest and peace. We are very grateful for your attention to all the details. Bridget and the villa staff were very attentive to our inquiries and requests. We will definitely be back. Thank you !

Hacienda Iguana is a great destination for surf vacationers. World-class waves are within walking distance. Air conditioners that could make ice cubes. A great reprieve from the tropical jungle heat. Local shops and restaurants with friendly staff. Anything you need you can rent or buy. Private and quiet. Monkeys in the trees. Iguanas crossing the roads. Thunderstorms create an amazing light show at night. 18-hole golf course on location if the waves die down. Victor and his helpers are great communicators and can offer suggestions for first-time visitors. As with most developing nations, there can be unexpected power outages. Fortunately, the place has backup power that can last for hours.

We loved our stay at Papagayo’s house! The place was more than we expected! We were able to go to a few beaches that were very close to the house! Highly recommended!

Corrin and Jacq were exceptional hosts. Always present and super attentive. The house, in turn, is perfect: excellent location, equipped with everything you need (and a little more) and extremely comfortable and pleasant. It was an amazing experience, which I recommend to everyone (especially those who surf, in view of the two “world class” waves located inside the condominium).

The apartment was beautiful and had absolutely stunning views. Everything was spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the utensils we needed, which made the whole experience super comfortable and convenient. The space felt cozy and welcoming—just like being at home. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic place to stay in San Juan del Sur. Would love to come back!

Amazing the experience staying on Katie’s Villa, the views were unique and immaculate vibes. Spacious villa with high roof. They are the fastest replying host I have ever got, Also ask for Dennys he will help you get setup you up for anything you need in town awesome and friendly local. This is my second time staying with Miki and it definitely won't be the last. She is the best host you could ever ask for. She is always super responsive and proactive. The house itself is perfect for two people. The kitchen is well equipped to cook and Miki is always giving recommendations for local events. The apt is super close to the beach. The internet works great.

Perfect place to stay in San Juan del sur, near the town center by car and great views

Loved our time here, perfect location. The hill is steep, we knew that going in to it and is a great way to get a workout in on vacation! We also rented a motorcycle and had no issues getting up the hill and feeling safe with it parked in the lot. The staff were very friendly and kept everything very clean. The view was incredible and being able to cool off in the pool was a huge bonus. Rosi was extremely professional and quick to answer any questions I had. The information binder in the house was very helpful with dining recommendations and local activities. Thank you! We look forward to coming back.

It’s worth noting how well-equipped the home is: it has a generator and water pump, so we never had to worry about any disruptions during our stay—huge peace of mind! Every question we had was answered promptly and helpfully, and it was clear they truly care about providing a top-notch guest experience. We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

Amazing Beach House! This place is absolutely wonderful. The house itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the location is spectacular—perfect for anyone who enjoys privacy and relaxation. It's just a short walk to some fantastic restaurants, which made our stay even better. We had such a great experience and will definitely be visiting again!

Abraham and Carmen they were super hosts!!! Very friendly, attentive, and quick response. The apartment was same as the one in the pictures, everything as described. Sparkling clean, the swimming pool is nice, near to city centre, and many nice restaurants, also easy access to the different beaches. We stayed three days in Abraham’s apartment and it was very peaceful, we felt relaxed. We are definitely coming back again. We highly recommend Ocean Dream Apartments for their reasonable prices, cleanness, peaceful and around to many beautiful beaches.

Fue genial. I needed to rest for a while on my bike trip from Texas to Panamà. It was private and quiet but still only 2 km walk into town which we did daily. Also Playa peña rota is 2.5k and very private and worth the walk. Roger was always there to help with nice messages from Spain ! Muchas gracias. Queremos volver!!!

Our stay at Salty Surf was fantastic! Emeline is a wonderful host, she has all the best tips for the area - Carolina (care taker) is very sweet and helpful too! The A/C in the bedroom worked great, bed was comfy and kitchen has all the basics for cooking. Beautiful spot on the beach, love having coffee listening to the ocean waves. Walking distance to a few good restaurants, coffee and groceries. Surfing is about a 15-20min walk away. Highly recommend this gem in Popoyo!
