Waterfront holiday rentals in Playa Potrero, Costa Rica

My husband and I took our first family vacation with our 2.5 year old son, and Pedro's home was the perfect family-friendly location. First, the home itself felt even nicer than shown in the pictures. The home was spotless, spacious, and included everything we needed for our stay. Our toddler was delighted by all of the beach and pool toys on the property, and the pool has a large shallow ledge that made swimming much more accessible to him. The pool was cleaned every morning by the groundskeeper who was very friendly. The property is fully gated, and we felt safe and comfortable knowing that Pedro and his wife lived on the third floor, and the groundskeeper also lived on the property. That said, our stay still felt private. The location and views simply cannot be beat. Each evening, the sun sets directly in front of the property over the ocean. Playa Hermosa as a whole was quiet, calm, and welcoming, and I'd argue that Pedro's home is the best property there.

This is a very clean, modern condo with all expected appliances and furnishings to have a great beach stay. The grounds are beautiful, and it is a close drive to the beach club which is amazing. Definitely recommend for a stay in Playa Conchal.

Great place to stay. Central location and very convenient check in and check out process. Security on the premises were also very nice. Really great we could use the pool as well!

Breathtakingly beautiful. The location and amenities of this location were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our time and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

What a spot for a vacation! The location was prime and the room itself was well suited for everything you need. This is a hidden gem in the area. Things I appreciated the most: The ocean was steps away for a swim at anytime. The shop keepers and restaurant owners downstairs are great people and pleasant to talk to during your stay. Waffle monkey (breakfast) and Portofino are the best spots for breakfast, fresh seafood, low cost happy hours, and fire show at night during sunset. You can literally walk anywhere in minutes. There is 3 separate door with locks to get to your top floor rental so this spot is very safe! If you are lucky, you'll notice a 5 foot iguana that rests in the trees to your right off the porch, spending days in the trees. Alvaro is the mgmt person who helps you. He speaks great English and responds rapidly to questions. Can't wait to return and bring family. The two units next to each other would be an ideal joint rental for a group of 5-7 people. Highly recommend!!!

100% recommended. The accommodation is as in the photos and the description, very clean and well maintained. Manfred was very kind at all times, the check-in and check-out was super easy and accessible. The area is quiet and peaceful in a local neighborhood of El Coco.

Would 100% stay here again. Wow the view is stunning. Beds were comfy, ac worked well. Access to the beach right there, pool was nice. Great place and nice neighbors. Had a window blind that was broken when we showed up and management came and took care of it immediately. Beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys and some pool toys were in the closet which we thoroughly enjoyed!! We stayed here on NYE and were able to see fireworks all around sitting on the beach, fantastic way to ring in the new year. Great stay!

Overall we loved this place. Highly recommend. Calin met us upon arrival which was helpful. Location is great. Short walk to the beach and short drives to 3 other beaches Several restaurants in walking distance. Nice friendly community in a cluster of condos. If you’re staying more than 5 days buy some extra toilet paper and paper towels. And bath soap and shampoo. Kitchen well stocked for cooking. It was a great start to our 3 week adventure in CR. This Airbnb is the perfect place to disconnect. The area is super quiet—ideal for relaxing and recharging. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. Rodrigo was an amazing host—always attentive, quick to respond, and thoughtful about every detail. You can tell he genuinely cares about making the stay great. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway away from the noise, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

Andres place was the perfect getaway for my wife and myself. We stayed there about a week. The place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. We could hear the Howler Monkeys at times and listen to the birds and the rain was the best. Very close to all the amenities, plenty of restaurants, shopping, and beaches. PERFECT!!!

Out family couldnt say enough great things about the host and the home. They went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Our 7 member adult family had plenty to do, great recommendations from the host. Extra accommodations when asked. House was beautiful and clean. We engaged them throughout the trip and we felt like VIPs on the complex. I highly recommend this host and property. We are looking forward to a return trip in the near future!!

We really enjoyed our time in Potrero. Mike was extremely responsive to any questions or concerns we had. The condo was very well stocked with anything we might need - including an abundance of towels, beach chairs and even a cooler that we made use of. The only drawback (being that we were there over New Years) was the bar across the street that played their music extremely loud, both New Years and the next night. Needless to say, we didn’t get much sleep until the music stopped. However, everything else was great, especially Penca Beach a short walk away. We loved that!!

Words cannot express how awesome this place is. The location is perfect- literally steps to the beach, sunsets that are phenomenal and the waves of the Pacific that rock you to sleep. The house had everything we could want for our family of nine. We had plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping everything perfect. If you go, indulge yourself by having the cook Ivonne, make breakfast and dinner for you. You will not be disappointed. We are already planning our return trip.

Great and huge condo. Awesome patio view, you can heard waves, birds and monkeys. Very large rooms and shared spaces. 3 full bathrooms was helpful for our group. Well stocked kitchen. If we had a need the management company was extremely helpful and quick to response. Proactive communication by the management company. Great value, I highly recommend. Only slight downside is getting to beach isn’t far, but not direct from the condo. Wish they shared a pathway with neighboring properties. But not a horrible walk at all.

We had a great stay! Walked to the beach every evening for a sunset swim. Tara and Tyson provided towels, beach chairs, beach bag and a wagon to pull it all over. We used the pool almost every day, but heads up, during the dry season, lots of leaves fall. This DID NOT STOP us from enjoying it! Oh and lots of iguanas to watch and locate every morning. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the patio over looking the pool. The patio also had a great BBQ to grill up dinners. One of the little, but great things, is the lock box to keep the house key in, never worried about losing it.

Amazing Family Vacation at Playa Flamingo! Our stay at Cody and Anna’s wonderful Airbnb in Playa Flamingo was truly unforgettable. The property is perfect for families—spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My three teens loved the nearby beache and all the fun activities, while I appreciated the peaceful surroundings and beautiful ocean. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially with his awesome guidebook. They made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this awesome place for anyone looking for a relaxing, fun and family-friendly getaway in Costa Rica. We can't wait to return!

Brandon’s place was exceptionally beautiful. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The pool table got a lot of use! The views from the balcony were stunning. I would argue that these were the best sunset views in the entire town! The front balcony offered sunrise views as well! We spent most of our time on the rear balcony, enjoying those views. It was clean, easy self check in and the property manager Allen was very responsive and helpful in setting up excursions! We wished we could have stayed another week! Wonderful view of the water from the moment you walk in the front door! We didn’t get tired of looking at the water or listening to the waves on the large deck. We traveled with another couple and there was plenty of space for everyone. Although we didn’t cook in, it appeared there were ample plates, silverware, cooking utensils, pans, etc. There was a coffee maker, microwave and a blender, but no toaster. The beds in all rooms were firm. The white sand beach in Flamingo is beautiful and my favorite in Costa Rica. The town of Flamingo has several restaurants/bars and the Flamingo marina is also very close. You can walk to the beach, restaurants/bars and marina, but the condo is up a steep hill. We elected to rent a golf cart and were also able to see Potrero and Brasilito. I loved the location of the condo and we had a great time.

My daughter and I came down for a quick trip. The location is perfect, right across the street from Langosta Beach Club, with access privileges, which is wonderful. The condo is clean and secure, with all the amenities you’d look for. The host was responsive and friendly. And the location meant we could walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. The price was great value and I highly recommend this place! Pura Vida.
