Playa La Mision is located on the most beautiful beach in Baja about half way between Rosarito and Ensenada. Also just south of Baja Studios where such films as Titanic and Master Commander were filmed. Enjoy fabulous sunsets from the huge new patio, or build a bonfire on the beach directly below, while sipping margaritas and enjoying the sights of things like dolphins and horses, and the sounds of the crashing waves. Low tides are great for clamming right, then throw them on the BBQ.

Baja Surf & Sk8 Apt #1 with mini ramp & skatebowl

Beautiful property as a whole! It all felt really homey. There’s 4 sweet pups that greet you when you pull up (& they’re all real friendly). The apartment itself was a lot bigger than I anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. Denise was also super responsive & reliable, we didn’t have the chance to meet but I felt really comfortable knowing she was a text away if we had any questions or issues. Two things I would say— 1. You should have a car that can go off-roading if you’re staying here. It’s a pretty steep incline on a single lane dirt road, & it’s real bumpy. My Honda CRV did the job but my tires were still slipping in some areas. 2. Where the road forks, go down the middle/center road with arrows. We got lost a few times before we figured out which route was correct. Some of the place markers included in the instructions weren’t visible/clear as we neared the house, but then again, maybe we were just tired. Overall, very satisfied with our stay! 🤍

Molly and Arthur's home is a legendary hidden gem offering a perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. The location is surreal, allowing me to maintain a healthy work-life balance during a demanding 2.5-month IT training program. Still finding happiness despite 9 straight hours of IT training should speak volumes about the Casita's majesty. Connectivity was flawless, which was critical as my program required exceptional bandwidth usage. Their on-site presence added to the experience with engaging conversations and family-like atmosphere. They skillfully balanced hospitality with privacy, which is not always typical of on-site hosts. The property's amazing location, coupled with Molly and Arthur's exceptional warmth, made this an incredibly memorable experience. The Casita has become my go-to spot in northern Baja and I can't wait to return! Thanks again for this special experience!

Adorable Casita w/Estuary & Ocean Views

Daniel is a wonderful host. Very friendly and gives great tips on the area as he used to live there. The house is in a secure and beautiful location with both the beach and estuary within walking distance. Everything was as described and the layout was perfect. The Mexican people you find in the neighborhood are very friendly. If you don't speak Spanish, though, this is probably a good choice - the gated neighborhood is full of Americans as is one of the local eating/shopping areas. There is a beautiful horse stable on the trail as well which is fun to check out. Daniel is doing some work on this house so I won't mention some areas that need attention as I'm sure he'll address those. You will need a car to get to most places but could hike to a local store and to get prepared food if you don't mind a 20ish minute walk. It was my favorite of all the places I've visited in Baja (4 o far) and I'll definitely be back if I can!

A beautiful stay in an amazing location. We felt right at home, our wonderful host had the home stocked with clean towels, toiletries, and even left us drinking water for the whole stay. Quick responses from my host anytime I had a question. Would definitely stay again thank you.
