Our beautiful, cottage-style townhouse is welcoming and homely, just one minute from shops, bars, and restaurants. Originally created as a self contained home for my parents has been thoughtfully designed with accessibility in mind. It offers wheelchair access through the front door, along with a large shower with grab handles, and a raised toilet. An open plan kitchen, dining and lounge are with very comfortable high backed electric recliner chairs.

Perfect if you like a bold, colourful and clean place to stay. * This ground floor flat is not suited for most people with mobility issues. There is a sofa bed & the main bed is on a platform.

The cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion offering a welcoming base for your stay. Heating is provided by a biomass boiler, so very eco friendly. There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

The surprisingly spacious open-plan sitting room incorporates dining and has a sociably open-plan kitchen. Wi-Fi and Smart TV just in case! There is a cast iron gas stove for chilly days and French doors opening onto the verandah overlooking the lake. There are two double bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with twin beds. The bathroom/WC has a large separate shower cubicle with a seat and handrail. A private fishing platform plus bank fishing is suitable for wheelchair users.
