Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ponta Delgada

Beautifully renovated old house, retaining original elements. The new extension, with the raised glass cube, is fantastic: stylishly furnished, beautiful views, always varied, private. Only the chirping of birds. Car can be parked on private property. Garden is private. Good bed! The kitchen is somewhat impractical, but that is secondary to the advantages of the house. During our stay, there were construction works next to the house. We were not bothered by it, especially because we were often on the road during the day. In short: fantastic place, worth repeating! Very nice view, nice house, very well equipped. We recommend renting a car to reach all sights and activities. Marco is very friendly, waited for us on the first day (despite flight delay), handed over the keys and showed us the house. He was always available for us. We recommend Marco's accommodation. Marek

This was one of our favorite Airbnb's! Mario and Filipa were incredibly responsive hosts and provided excellent recommendations of yummy local restaurants. The photos are very accurate and the ocean views were truly stunning! We loved sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the ocean view! The ocean decor inside was great. Everything was very clean and the sheets, towels, and bathrobes were all high quality. The location in Lagoa was great - not as touristy as other areas but easy to get to all the main attractions. Overall we highly recommend and hope to be back!

We had a wonderful few days at Andre’s place! Parking was easily available for our rental, and he provided great recommendations! There was an amazing view of an old church and the Atlantic Ocean from the bed! The rental is a bit away from the city center of Ponta Delgada, so it’s a better fit for people who will be renting a car.

Had a lovely time at Cristina’s place. She and her husband were very kind. The house had everything you could possibly ask for and had a really nice and cosy vibe to it too. Can highly recommend the place if you’re going to explore the island.

We had such a wonderful stay! The hosts were extremely proactive about helping us with any and all needs. We were traveling with a 1 year old baby and they had everything prepared for him including high chair and crib all set up. We are so glad we got to spend a wonderful week at this property. Clean, comfortable, spacious apartment right in the heart of the city. Close to everything including restaurants, shops and points of interest. Very accommodating host re: checking in early. Allowed us to leave our suitcases for a few hours in a safe spot in the foyer after checking out and before heading to the airport. There is also a private patio where you can catch the morning sun while having your coffee. This apartment is on the top floor so be prepared for a lot of stairs. Overall, a great stay!

Great way to end are 2 week trip staying here at Duartes place. He also gave us tons!! Of suggestions and ideas for food and adventures outdoors.

We spent 9 days in Carlos’s apt. The location is absolutely perfect, just a couple of blocks from the main square (city gates), and on walking distance to plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and retail markets. Private parking is available which is a huge bonus. The apt is modern and very clean. There was not one thing the apt didn’t have that we needed for our stay. The bed was super comfortable, the pillows were just perfect and the bath towels large and fluffy. Better than most hotels! There is a 4 point locking system on the apt door that made us feel super safe. Carlos was a fantastic host, checking in with us mid week to see if we needed anything. He was kind enough to leave us some umbrellas for our stay. Definitely choose to stay here again on our return trip to Sao Miguel!

Álvaro was an amazing host, the area was beautiful and he was able to provide many recommendations on stuff to do in the area. For others like us who wanted to explore the whole island it is a great central location that can get you to all sides in under an hour. Definitely will be recommending to our friends and family who will be visiting the island, thanks Álvaro!

We had a lovely stay here! The apartment is beautifully designed, with a stunning sea view, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious, modern bathroom. The balcony was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. There’s a popular restaurant right next door, and although the apartment is located a bit outside the Ponta Delgada city center, it’s a peaceful area with enough parking nearby. We had a car, which we’d recommend, but also walked into town along the scenic coastline-it takes about 30 minutes. All in all, a great base for exploring the island!

This was a very well situated home that felt private and secure. The unit was bright and clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed. The bathrooms were clean and modern with plenty of toilet paper (could have used tissues). We were given 2 towels (one for home and one for beach/water activities) and a hand towel. I would have liked an extra towel for the week long stay. Storage in the bedrooms was great and loved the room darkening blinds! I personally felt the beds were too firm. The couch was equally as firm. For 2 people, the living room furniture was adequate but if you’re a group of 4 or more, there isn’t enough seating. The dining table seats plenty! The balcony furniture was great and my son loved lounging in the hammock and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk with a decent restaurant on the beach. A rental car is a necessity to get around. Being centrally located meant easy access to all the island has to offer. Great stay!

The space was fantastic for a family of five. Well positioned to walk everywhere. Having covered parking was a lifesaver as there is nowhere to park on the streets. Claudia was so nice and responsive. Will definitely stay here again!!

Great apartment in an excellent location. Close to beach, supermarket, bar, cafe and on the bus line. Very quiet area. Our hosts were very gracious and friendly. Their hospitality and generosity exceeded our expectations to ensure that we were comfortable and that our stay on the island was enjoyable. Would most definitely recommend this apartment

Very large accommodation, in the heart of Ponta Delgada. Walking in the streets is pleasant and there are several shops and restaurants in the area. On the other hand, parking is paid and it's a little noisy at night, but that didn't stop us from sleeping. Aphonson responded quickly. We had a nice stay.

Such a bargain for a delightfully decorated apartment with an incredible view and a hot tub on the terrace!!! The area was peaceful and stunning and the apartment had everything you could need! Definitely recommend :)
