A truly special stay! The villa was stunning – spacious, beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches in every corner. We especially loved the warm pool, well-kept outdoor areas, and the many cozy zones for relaxing. Huge thanks for the early check-in, which made a big difference as we were traveling with a baby. The host’s care and attention were exceptional – from local tips to the warm welcome with wine, fruit, and snacks. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy long evenings outside. The view of the sea in the distance and the peaceful surroundings were the cherry on top. Only 10 minutes from town, yet it felt like a private paradise. Highly recommend!

We loved staying at Mansio in Rethymno. It was right in old town just steps from restaurants but on a quiet street. We had a rental car and they offered free parking in a local lot a short walk away. Check in was easy. There was a staffed desk so someone available to answer all questions and they were extremely friendly. The breakfast was wonderful and the seating area to eat was beautiful. The back of the building was a park always full of families and a school. We loved watching local families enjoy their town. We even got to see a concert event with area children singing. There is some noise from the park, but it did not bother us. If you are looking for absolute quiet you should look towards the edge of town instead.

I can’t recommend the apartment enough. It was the best equipped rental I have ever stayed in and the location is beyond fabulous. A few steps down to the beach, the views from the terrace, 2 mins away from a handful of great restaurants, a cafe right next door and 15 mins walk into the main town. It has everything for a relaxed stay but everything on your doorstep when you want it. The house is as the photos depict - stylish and luxurious. A stay here will not disappoint! Loved every moment of it and wonderful hosts.

The perfect stay, the perfect holiday and the perfect hosts. We had the most incredible stay in Crete to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Khrysa was an outstanding host—so warm, kind, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel completely at home and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The apartment was absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights was the private jacuzzi—such a perfect way to relax in the evenings after exploring the area. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making the entire experience feel luxurious and effortless. There was so much to do nearby, from breathtaking beaches and charming local spots to amazing food and culture. Thanks to Khrysa’s recommendations, we discovered hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. This stay far exceeded our expectations and made for an unforgettable birthday getaway.

Book this! Amalen Suites (only 5 for the entire property) is in the perfect spot! Close to everything but at night quiet and extremely secure! My favorite part of my stay was the staff that ran Amalen! Thank you so much Maria, Jakob, Tolis, and Josie!!! Everyone was so so so kind and gave amazing recommendations for my stay. The breakfast served every morning was phenomenal as well!!! Oh and! My all time favorite products are used at this location (Olive Era) so I was able to buy some bottles to take home too. And because I was traveling alone they checked in with me everyday and made sure I was safe during my stay which means a lot! I truly had an amazing time at this hotel and highly highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND for couples that are traveling through Crete. The city in which Amalen is located is large and can be tough to find parking all of the time so I also did love that this was close to many restaurants, shops, IG worthy cute alleys and a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Thank you!!

this is a great Villa to stay at in central Crete that made it easy to branch off to many other areas of the island the best part was the Villa itself with its swimming pool and the views. great place to stay close to the small village of margarite. highly recommend it's got to be one of the best places to stay in all of Crete. Michalis was a great representing host.

Fantastic place - beautiful, quiet, well equipped, great view. And Stavi is a great host! If we come back to this area we know where we will stay again - no question!

The apartment was in a perfect location, with plenty of restaurants around to naize for dinner. Very quiet area.
