Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Progreso

Herman’s house on the beach in Chuburna is beautifully designed and thoroughly comfortable. I chose it based on reviews, its unique appearance, privacy and location away from touristy areas. Progreso, however, is 20 minutes away and offers a supermarket, restaurants etc. Having a car is highly recommended for those who want to visit points of interest in the Yucatán, such as the Mayan archeological site at Uxmal, the flamingoes in the Celestun biosphere. and various cenotes - all experiences well worth the drive. The Mayan museum in Mérida is also wonderful to visit. Herman’s onsite list was very good guidance for what not to miss. Thoroughly recommend this house. Linda

Honest review: it's fair to say it was a fantastic stay. Amazing sunsets. The hosts were very responsive both before and during the stay. The place is down a long and narrow dirt road but once you get to the home, it's true paradise. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spread out, and there is plenty of room for parking. This home is truly steps from the Gulf and there's ample patio space. I loved the thatched roof area with the table, which had lights for the evening. Wifi was strong. Things to keep in mind (some of which are out of the owner's control): having a rental car is a must, it's down a long road that is a fair walk from main road. Air conditioning is present in every bedroom, but not the main living space/kitchen, which can get warm in hot weather even with the large ceiling fans. There is not much beach in front of the home, and barely any in neighboring properties - it's not an area where you can go for long walks on the beach. Rent this place for a quiet beach vacation!

The accommodation is very nice, it is a practically new house, very comfortable and with all the amenities.

The property is beautiful. It's great for a family vacation. It was obvious that it was professionally furnished and decorated. Attention was paid to every detail throughout the property. We were not too happy with the town as there was no real nightlife and the town seemed to be pretty impoverished. Thankfully the property was so inviting. We spent a lot of time at the house enjoying the amenities offered by the house. We enjoyed being able to prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The pool house was so nice. We had beach towels available to us. We had a couple of minor issues but they were addressed very quickly. While we were not impressed with Progreso. we were very pleased with the property. Nice property right on the beach. Beach access was great and Tony, the on site helper, was great. We enjoyed our stay.

This is a 5 stars place no doubt! If we could give more than 5 stars for cleanliness we would as we found the house spotless on all fronts. Great communication for ease of check in and check out. Excellent for groups given the numerous seating areas that can accommodate 8-10 people all at once, outdoor as well as indoor. Accessing the ocean for a swim is swift although you have to cross over the concrete wall or step over sideways so maybe a little difficult for low-mobility individuals. Don't miss these raved about sunset swims tho! Would definitely come back!

Place is right on the beach, quite comfortable. Had everything we needed for the 5 days we stayed.

I loved this place, close to the beach, the apartments was very clean and well stocked kitchen, 20-25 min walk to town or quick with Uber , would definitely stay again !

Excellent place to stay, the place was super clean when you arrive, José gives you all kinds of information so you can move to different parts of the city, the bedroom was very comfortable and had all the services available to us, there are also many places nearby to eat and buy things if you want to cook. It's the best choice to stay in this place

All in all, exactly what we were looking for. The place is a clean contrast to the derelict nature of the neighborhood. Definitely not touristy, though in walking distance of the best maintained beach on the coast. I should know, I walked the whole coast in the surf. Quiet, lots of Canadians, some Australians, not a lot of nasty US folk to disturb the peace. Awesome paintings throughout the inside. The fact there's no TV was welcome declutter, we were there to rest, not keep our eyes tired. The wifi in bed is spotty, more incentive to rest instead of using smartphones. At the entrance, kitchen area the wifi signal is strong and bandwidth was enough for our needs. Even the wrong address isn't the fault of the host: the city rezoned recently and Airbnb hadn't yet updated the listed location. Ensure that you follow the directions provided by the host in his excellent communication, instead of the ones listed. If the water and beach were cleaner, I would see ourselves returning for more.

Beautiful secluded place great for respite. Very nice family with the parents next door who are wonderful people. Uber is available sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get there so plan accordingly to head into Progresso for restaurants and shopping & groceries.

Incredible apartment, very nice and comfortable, just like in the photos. It has many amenities, the kitchen is very complete, it has too many utensils. In the bathroom, they leave shampoo and soap, have enough towels and an iron for clothes. The air conditioning works great, in general everything works well except for a TV that really did not affect our stay. On the balcony there is a super comfortable chair to spend the afternoon there, and you can see the pool. The pool is very comfortable, it has a height of approximately 1.2 meters. The beach is 1-2 minutes walk, however, (at least for me) there is an unpleasant smell in the entrance area and the area there is not very "adaptable" to be in the sea. In conclusion, I highly recommend it, it's worth it.

Luis's place exceeded our expectations! It was well decorated and comfortable with a beautiful pool and outdoor spaces. Luis was friendly and helpful too.

Oscar was always on the lookout, super attentive and friendly, the accommodation is more than excellent, it has everything you need and more to spend an incredible few days, the next time I return I will surely stay with him again.

We stayed only two days in Mauricio’s place because it was only a short visit in Progreso. The condo is very nice, well furnished and supplied. The neighbours are nice and the place is quiet. There is a nice pool and a rooftop patio with a nice view, shaded area and a nice breeze. There is a convenience store nearby as well as a few nice restaurants with a varied offering of dishes. We recommend this place for a nice stay in Progreso.

Everything was excellent, he was attentive throughout the stay, the place is very nice as it is in the photos, I recommend it 10/10
