Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

This was a gorgeous home! We enjoyed listening to the birds and monkeys each morning. We even got to see 2 green Macaws fly over! The view is breathtaking! Delicious coffee and sugar was provided. We had a mishap with some broken glass and Felipe quickly sent someone over to help clean it up so we didn’t get hurt! The driveway is very steep but made for a good workout to break up all of the relaxing! We had no issue walking to the beach. My only feedback is there are not enough towels provided considering there is a pool and beach. For 2 women staying 2 nights we were given only 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, no wash cloths. So we had to repeatedly use the same towel after the pool, beach, and showers. Not a big deal but not ideal either. Otherwise this home was perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, local, beachy vibe in Costa Rica!!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place was peaceful, cozy, and the perfect escape to unwind. There were so many great things to do nearby—from nature adventures to local gems, the area had it all. One of my favorite features was the outdoor shower—it felt adventurous and grounding, truly one with nature. And the hot water? Perfect! Just the way I like it. Highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty around them. I would absolutely come back again!

I recommend them, it is a spectacular house, perfectly distributed, spacious, with everything you need! In addition, the service, communication and so on with carolina was excellent.

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

Jessica really helped us out through a very difficult situation. After being double booked at another place, she got us in the next day extra early. She was super responsive and easily the best host I have dealt with yet. I strongly encourage staying here. Just as a word of advice, you 100% need to have 4x4 to get to this place. You may not need a full size SUV with 4x4, but anything helps.

We spent a lot of time trying to choose a spot for our week in Costa Rica. Our stay exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful piece of paradise. So clean and open, surrounded by a large yard full of flora and fauna. So many lovely details went into the building of this airbnb. We loved the covered porch so much. Our hosts were beyond gracious. They answered questions and helped us navigate things like bike rentals. We felt so lucky to stay at Casa Corazon. The nearby beach was a beautiful feature too. Quick bike rides into Puerto Viejo were fun. We loved exploring spaces and places on foot, on bike, or by Tuk Tuks. We are so grateful!!

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, this is hands down your best bet. It’s way better than a hotel, hostel, or even a typical Airbnb. This was my first time out of the country, and since it was also our honeymoon, I was nervous about planning everything. But from the start, David was incredibly communicative and thorough. When we arrived, he was so helpful and welcoming. He gave us tons of great recommendation places to eat, things to do and even offered to take us kayaking on a nearby river. When we told him about our love for coffee, he gave us a mason jar full of his own homemade coffee! Every time we came back to the Airbnb, he checked in with us to see how our day went and chatted with us about all our tourist adventures. The AC in the place works great, so no worries there! He also told us about the local weekly market, where he sells his coffee, we enjoyed more of his amazing coffee, and ended up buying six bags to take home. -Pura Vida!

We had such a great stay here! The space is lovely and the surroundings felt so peaceful. Meg was a great host and would recommend!

Mery’s place was just as described. Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. Well worth the value and I highly recommend. Took a while to find the exact place, although the shuttle was right there. Some type of signage out front would be helpful, but she responded immediately with a picture of where I was looking for.

The most beautiful place to stay very clean feels like your in a jungle oasis, pool is lovely. Host is very friendly and welcoming

Great accomandation for digital nomads! The wifi is really good. The area is super quiet and chill & has plenty full of wildlife. You have everything you need nearby. I would recommend renting a bike for an extra smooth experience but you can also easily get around on foot. 10/10 would recommend! :)

We loved the space. Private, safe, clean, very homey! In addition to being nature lovers, we were happy because we had the opportunity to see many birds! We hope to return soon!

Mariana’s place was great. She provided great instructions and was available if we needed. I will be staying here the next time I am in Puerto Viejo. If you are in Puerto Viejo you should definitely stay here.

Truly was the most magical stay. The most perfect location, can walk or ride bike to local beach and restaurants. The place was extremely quiet and clean. the family underneath were so friendly and gave us great recommendations for things to do. And had the cutest dogs and cat. Our stay was too short and wish we could have stayed longer! This place is paradise i cannot recommend this stay enough!!

The stay was amazing. The place was beautiful, everything Sofi described was accurate and she was super helpful, friendly and very responsive. Really recommended!

The place is super spacious, beautiful and as it appears in the photos. Where I stayed, there was nothing to cook with (pots), there was no microwave, and the kitchen was gas. But out of there, everything is fine, very quiet and you can walk to the black beach.

I had a perfect stay in Puerto Viejo and in Ernyk his airbnb. He helped me with extra requests which was very nice. The house is very new and beautiful, a lot of green and animals around + only 5 min bikeride to shops and restaurants. Another plus is the eco friendly elements in the house. I would recommend this place 1000% and hope to return someday.

Good accommodation in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo, 5 minutes by car from downtown. We travel with family 4 people and stayed in one of the casitas they have with kitchen and bunk bed. Spacious and comfy stay. As shown in the photos. Cozy common area and very clean pool. The manager Giacomo was very nice and always attentive. Highly recommended.
