Holiday rentals with a kayak in Pushaw Lake

Sydney’s house was perfect for our family! It was clean, with beautiful views on a quiet, private street. The house had plenty of toiletries, we didn’t need to buy any household items while there. The hot tub was clean and perfect for a breezy afternoon looking out at the water. Sydney was a great host, providing tons of recommendations on places to dine and sites to see. Perfect location to visit both the Schoodic Peninsula and Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor! Would love to stay here again.

10/10 would recommend Dana’s place! Easy to get to, and absolutely spotless! There is a nice walking trail to the lake to enjoy time by the water. We had a great stay, plenty to do within an hour radius of the Airbnb. As a chicken lover, I adored the flock that roamed the property. They’re very friendly :)

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

An absolutely beautiful lake home on Pushaw Lake. A great time with family and friends in a lovely environment. We felt right at home. Even though the weather was not the best, the home was comfortable and there was a lot to do from ping pong, games, fishing and canoeing. Thank you!

We had an amazing time. TJ was very responsive and gave his secrets for fishing! He also accommodated a request that was an overlook on my part. I can’t say enough good things about the place itself or how nice TJ was. It was a phenomenal experience all around!

Great long weekend - the perfect “staycation” for relaxation. The walk down to the water was beautiful, the views are truly wonderful, location was awesome. Easy ride to the state park. Always nice to find a home where we can bring the dog, and have it be clean and well cared for! Hot tub did not disappoint.

Hillary's home was so cozy, beautiful, and just overall a wonderful place to visit. Beds super comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need and more. The view of the lake was so beautiful. I could go on and on.... Hillary is so easy to get along with. Answers all questions and gives great advice of the area and things to do and see. Overall Fantastic! Christ's local convience store has everything!! Our stay was terrific.

A little slice of heaven! The Nest was everything we hoped for and more. The sunsets over the crystal-clear lake were stunning, but what really struck us was how long the colors linger in the sky up here, creating the most peaceful and relaxing mood to close out each day. The cabin itself was cozy, thoughtfully designed, and the perfect size for our getaway. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, already looking forward to a return visit.

Leslie was very responsive and helpful before the trip. The place was even more beautiful than expected. The Google address leads to a few houses before, but the description of the driveway helped us find the right location. It was the perfect location to relax for the weekend.

The cabin was breathtaking, with a history painted and photographed among her walls. Perfect amount of space to accommodate a family should you have one. The morning sunrise was spiritual, and humbling. Host was incredibly friendly and accommodating for our dog. Arjuna. Will absolutely be returning. Thank you for an amazing and beautiful experience.

Probably the most amazing vacation rental setting we're ever experienced. This place sits in a nature preserve on 2.5 acres of beautiful Maine coastline. Going to bed and waking up with seals and wave noise, watching Bald Eagle fishing... Just like living a Discovery Channel dream. North of the property is the preserve, 300' South is your first neighbor. Craig/Kadedra were super responsive, extremely nice and helpful. The house is a 70' blast from the past, well maintained and has all the pluses (dishwasher, washing machine, good internet). We will be back!

This cabin was very comfortable with great amenities (cooking ware, laundry). The beds and linens were very clean and quite comfortable. We were each given two fresh white towels. The cabin is on a dead end street surrounded by A-frames and little cabins, pretty close together, but no so much thst it felt crowded. Its licated across the street from a lake. There is lake access about 5 houses down - a few minutes walk - down the road. We stayed in May and it was very quiet at night. Mostly, we saw no one, (being somewhat pre-season). But we met one neighbor on a walk who was very friendly and took a moment to say hello and pet put dogs. The local grounds were clean.

Two things stood out to us: Tim and Melissa were fantastic hosts. Responsive, flexible, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. If anything, they kind of undersell the lakeshore. Beautiful, peaceful, and a large area. We were here too early in the season to take full advantage, but this must be heaven in the summer. Hope to come back during kayaking season.

Nick’s place is a gem! It was a gorgeous location to get our son off the UMaine campus and visit for a few days. The house overlooks peaceful Hermon Pond easily enjoyed from the big windows, the deck or the waterfront. The house was immaculate and had anything you could need. The kitchen had everything required to make a few home cooked meals. Beds were big and very comfortable. Nick was communicative and generous. We hope to be back in warmer weather to take advantage of the kayaks!

This was our second time staying here. We love the beautiful and peaceful setting. Lots to do in the surrounding areas but also we love relaxing at the house by just sitting on the dock with a good book or kayaking/fishing in Hobbs Pond.

What an amazing little place!! Stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary while exploring the mountains of Acadia National Park (about an hour drive pending on traffic) The cabin and property were just absolutely perfect for a getaway. While sitting on the porch at night we got to experience a beautiful owl doing its thing while we listened to the loons on the lake. Just amazing!

If you want an escape away from anywhere this is the place, tons of wildlife, super cool of Jen to allow us to use the kayaks the pond is gorgeous it’s a must to go out on the pond durring your stay also breakfast at peace love and waffles is 10/10 must kind of pricey but absolutely worth it the neighbors are super cool to I had a chat with one for a while and they seemed pretty nice and even gave me ideas on what to do and some local lore definitely would stay again

Our stay at Dave's lakefront cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for, and then some. This isn't just a rental; it feels like a genuinely preserved piece of Maine – authentic and full of character. Being right on the lake was the absolute highlight. The views are truly epic, offering stunning sunrises and peaceful evenings that we savored from the deck and the dock. It was the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and winding down after exploring. Dave is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell he cares deeply about this place and his guests. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that are one-of-a-kind, from the cozy throws to the unique decor that tells a story, making it feel less like a temporary stay and more like a cherished home.

Tammy and Randy made us feel right at home. We had everything we needed, and all the things we didn’t know we did! The kayaks were awesome and the full face snorkeling masks were a blast! The kitchen was perfectly outfitted with anything we could imagine, and the whole cottage was so comfortable. If you’re thinking of a peaceful retreat please don’t hesitate to book Tammy and Randy for your vacation. We will be back!

Mandi and Michael’s place was a dream come true! Our jaws dropped the moment we stepped foot out of the car and walked the path to the cabin. As hosts, they thought of everything we could need and more. Our stay at the Happy Loon was better than we could’ve imagined. Thank you both for making our trip so magical. This is such a special place! The cabin is beautifully designed and the views are wonderful! David left perfect instructions as to how to live “off grid” and is quick with responses if needed. So much to explore durning any season- from mountains to coast! Hope to return- maybe during blueberry season!!

I had a great time staying at Tom and Cindy's Airbnb with my family. It was peaceful and the pond was beautiful. The home was very clean and very well stocked. It made cooking easier which we did a bit of during our stay. I highly recommend Shelby's Cafe which is not too far from the cabin. The drinks (alcoholic) were also a hit. The service was exceptional and the food was good. The owner gave us free cupcakes for the adults and children! We visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, which are our favorite spots (about 2 hours from the cabin). The weather was about 50-60 degrees during the day and the crisp air felt amazing. The Botanical Gardens in Boothbay was also very nice (about 2 hr from the cabin).I think going there at night would be even more amazing to see the lights. It was a family friendly attraction. They have a garden just for the kids with a sandbox, water play, scavenger hunt, and a variety of play houses, and games. Very nice stay!
