Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Rainbow River

Kelley’s place was excellent. High quality furnishings and spotlessly clean. The place was awesome and worth the price paid which was reasonable for what we received. It felt like a combination of a five star hotel and home. Our host communicated very clearly both prior to and during our visit.

The place is everything that we expected and more. It was like a resort. Everyone had a great time.

This is a wonderful property in a wonderful, scenic part of Florida, Rainbow Springs. The home is located on a small cove that is adjacent to the springs so accessing the water of the Rainbow River and the Withlacoochee River is as easy as it gets. The home is well equipped for vacationers and very comfortable and beautiful. Our family loves this spot and have returned multiple times. Couldn't be better!

We had a great stay at Chimera. We brought our own tubes and floated from their other property upriver and back to this property saving us $120. The float took about an hour and a half. Parking at their other location was well marked. The walk from this rental back to the other location to pick up our vehicle took about 40 minutes. The walk was through a neighborhood slightly uphill without side walks. It’s not a bad walk for adults or teenagers. Using the kayaks was great.The river water by the private dock directly on the river at Chimera has two sandy river bottom patches we stood in and swam around. The current river depth was about five feet by the dock. We saw Fred the bird, fish, small turtles, a young bobcat, and four otters swimming/feeding by the dock almost every day. We did not see any alligators during this stay but have along the river during previous trips which have avoided humans. Chimera is in a great river location. 10 out of 10 would recommend! I have traveled all over the US and often utilize Airbnb and this is going down in the books as one of my favorite homes! The house itself is like a time capsule. Lots of antique furniture and nostalgic pieces of the past. But also super clean, comfortable and up-to-date. The amenities are also amazing! Everything was clean, well organized, and ready to use. The main river is about a 15 minute paddle, but it’s gorgeous. My kids said this might be one of their favorite vacations we’ve ever taken! The Neighbor kids even came over and joined us for a game of basketball. All of the neighbors seemed super friendly. The house is also well stocked with things like pans, dishes, silverware, extra blankets, pillows, etc. And sitting on the deck for morning, coffee and to relax in the evening is amazing. Communication with the host was easy and painless. We will most definitely be staying again!

We had a great time staying here. Close to the springs and beautiful to relax on the porch overlooking the water.

Loved our stay. Erin Ashley was super helpful, communicative and kind. The house was just what I needed, peaceful on the canal just off the main river. I enjoyed taking out one of the kayaks and exploring the river. Even made a long trip upstream to a nearby spring thanks to Erin Ashley’s recommendation. And the porch overlooking the water was a great spot to unwind. I’ll definitely keep this one on the list next time I visit!

Kayaking was spectacular!

We went to Crystal River to swim with the Manatees. Donald's place was only 8 minutes away. Even though this apartment is on a quiet dead end street and very private, there were great restaurants and conveniences very near by.

I enjoyed another wonderful stay at Joyce's place (my third stay). As always, great communication and very clean and welcoming space. The neighborhood is top notch for an easy walk to historic downtown, while residing in a tranquil tree layered oasis.

Regina was friendly and helpful host, and we had a wonderful stay. She went above and beyond to help us with local recommendations. I was very grateful that she had bikes and her tandem kayak available for us to borrow to explore the area. We would love to return again to see the manatees!

Monica is a wonderful host. She was responsive and caring during a difficult time for my family (death of a loved one). The place was in great shape and was exactly what I needed and conveniently located to where I needed to be in Ocala. Kitchen provided needed appliances, amenities and supplies where required. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean with necessary linens and supplies. Ample closet space if you are traveling with more than just a carryon. Note to anyone reading this - know that the bedrooms are on the top floor, so climbing stairs are required. Consider this when booking. Thank you Monica for the use of your place.

The property was well maintained. While it was some distance from town, it was helpful to have GPS for directions. The house was comfortably appointed and nicely decorated. It was well equipped with all necessities. The stacking washer and dryer was particularly useful and easy to use. The spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom, however, could be a challenge for some folks. All in all, a good property, attentive host, and a good stay.

We had a blast staying at this wonderful and beautiful house for four days. Gerri made the stay unforgettable! The place was clean, everything what we needed was there. The pictures are exactly how the house looks. I highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful scenery and to have a relaxing time in Inverness. Thank you Geri, we will definitely come back!

Had a great time at the condo. We felt right at home and enjoyed meeting new friends during the unofficial "happy hour". There is no shortage of things to do in the area and this was a great place to stay while visiting our daughter. We will stay here again. The only disappointing thing was that the pool temperature was very cold, but this was not any fault of the hosts themselves, the weather was unusually cold for FL during our stay. We still were able to use the pool during our stay.

I had a great stay! I loved the quiet location and easy access to everything I needed. The condo was exactly as described, and very clean.

Chris's place was lovely! Unexpectedly spacious and very comfortable. Very clean and well kept!

This place was very comfortable and extremely well stocked, including towels for the awesome community pool. We cooked almost every day and the condo had everything we needed. Was also nice to have a carport at the unit. Bruce was a great host and responded very promptly to our inquiries. (The listing says no clothes dryer but there is one in the unit.)

I’m a moved away local that our family of 3 needed a place to sleep between family events. Place was very clean and fit our needs. Our son was able to fish the docks and we enjoyed the evenings listening to the river. It’s a thing. The folks that are residents were very friendly, enjoyed that we were locals coming back and had fun swapping stories. We thought we were river side and that was my misreading.
