You walk to the city center in a few minutes and at the nearby riverfront you will find nice jogging and cycling routes. You can also conveniently get around by public transportation, with the closest stops a block away.

Villa was build 1999-2000 as a second home from the family with basic facilities criteria for everyday living. Basic principle was to have a place to calm down but also a house for remote work in home village. Place is pretty nice on top of the hill, scenery is wide almost all over ... tens of kilometers. We rent a cottage in Rääkkylä on the shore of Orivesi (Samppaanselkä) about 67 km from Joensuu. The year-round cottage (84 m2) has 6 beds. Quiet place. The cottage is well-equipped. The air source heat pump cools in summer and heats in winter. Barbecue hut in the yard. Rowing boat in use. Great road connection. Come and enjoy the cottage life to the beautiful natural landscape, the south shore. Check-in time at 3pm and departure time at 12pm.
