great place for a family getaway, there were 11 of us so the games room and hot tub were prefect. close enough to Barnard castle to go out for dinner, beautiful surroundings, what's not to like

We loved our stay at Darlington!! The host was so responsive, everything went smoothly. 10/10 the hot tub was a great touch for both adults and kids! Would absolutely stay again!!!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

Extremely pleasant week in Kendal and surrounding area using Cathy’s lovely accommodation as our base . Fully equipped , very comfortable , lovely decor and the bonus of private parking blended with some very fine weather all added into a perfect week for our family holiday get together. Highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to amenities within lovely surroundings…..

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

We stayed for 2 nights at Delanie's property to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. The house and it's facilities are amazing. The pool Hot Tub and bar area really make this an amazing place to celebrate birthday's and the like. Warm welcome and a great hamper upon check in and always on hand for any issues. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a luxury break away. Will be looking to return in the future.

A gorgeous weekend at the Hobbit House for our 10th wedding anniversary. From our arrival until we (sadly) departed, both Michael and Barbara were so attentive, accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Michael gave us a fab tour around the hobbit house pointing out everything we needed to know and then took us over to see the pool, ‘The Hut’ and around the stunning gardens. It's such a beautiful setting. Barabara kindly gave us a couple of mini Proseccos for our anniversary celebrations, such a lovely lady. The attention to detail in the house was 10/10 amazing. The building itself is super modern, from the smartplugs next to the bed and on the floor in between the lazy chairs, to the integrated blinds in all windows (including the sky light) and underfloor heating. The outside living roof beautifully blends in with the environment. They’ve literally thought of everything here. The decor was beautiful and cupboards generously stocked. We didn’t want to leave. Wow what a location and property! We were so excited to arrive and were overjoyed when our high expectations were exceeded! This really is a spot of magic, the views, scenery and local walks are unbeatable and the cottage is truly beautiful inside, with everything you would need for a luxury relaxing stay. We have already talked of when to return. Sunrises from the back garden were spectacular.

Wow what a beautiful little cottage ❤️ everything was to such high standard. It was such a beautiful area looking right out onto the river. There was lots of lovely little touches a welcome basket, towels and dressing gowns just to say a few. Emma was very helpful before our trip recommending the pub at the top of the hill for food which was amazing. I would highly recommend.

For a quiet few days off the beaten track this place is ideal. From a dog owner’s perspective the garden was completely secure. Simple little things like the quality of the cutlery and decent sized mugs for your early morning coffee makes such a difference. The nearby pub is a hidden gem, they brew their own beer on site, and it tastes great. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I wish we could have stayed here longer. Such a beautiful house and the surrounding area was gorgeous. Really peaceful, nice to see the racehorses in the morning riding past. Really cosy living room and great to have an updated tv to stream on. The only thing we missed was coffee for our morning brew but luckily the shop down the road is open early and it’s nice to explore on foot. We did have some nice treats waiting for us too! Great shower, good nights sleep, couldn’t really ask for anything more. Thanks Becky and Jonathan for having us!

A delightful house which is full of character with thick old walls and beams on the ceilings. Spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, very comfortable beds and sofas. Extras provided such as a rechargeable torch so that you can walk back from the village in the dark. Ian gave helpful local information and was quick to respond to queries. Will definitely go back again.

Perfect spot to relax and unwind. The Spinney is beautifully furnished and plenty of room for 4. Rosie and her family are lovely.

A beautiful little retreat, in a perfect location to go and explore the local attractions. White Scar Cave and the waterfall trail are both well worth a visit. Only a short drive to the Lake District too. Carly is an amazing host who goes above and beyond with all the extra little touches, she has thought of everything to make your stay so easy and comfortable. The Lodge is spotlessly clean and smells amazing. we will definitely be returning.

Nook Cottage is a beautiful character bolt hole right in the centre of quintessential Richmond yet tucked away enough to be private and quiet. It’s well equipped and tasteful with high end furnishings and style. It is also spotlessly clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and the host Neil who provided clear instructions and was quick to respond to messages. We had a lovely few days over Easter exploring the local area and the circular walk taking in the river, castle, abbey and town was great. Thanks Neil, we’d love to come back in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Queen Cottage. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, it was the perfect getaway spot. The location was ideal too – just a short drive from Kendal, Windermere, and other Lake District highlights. If you’re planning a trip to the Lakes, this is the place to stay!

Beautiful spotless and comfy cottage in a great location in the centre of Hawes. Stuart and Jo are friendly and helpful hosts who clearly care that their guests enjoy their holiday. The local information pack was brilliant and the cottage has been meticulously renovated and kitted out with an outstanding attention to detail and with their guests in mind. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay at the chestnut cottage. The cottage looked just as it did in the photos and was clean and well decorated. It was situated in a lovely peaceful village just 10 mins from a local town. The hosts were lovely and gave lots of suggestions for walks and places to go nearby. We managed to get squeezed in for Sunday lunch at the pub attached and this was definitely a highlight as the food was the best pub food we have had in a long time with a lovely, pleasant atmosphere. Would highly recommend if you are wanting a long weekend away.

What a beautiful location and truly special place to say. From beginning to end, Tanya made us feel incredibly welcome. Even to the point of homemade carrot cake outside the from door when we arrived back from a long walk! We loved playing with their gorgeous dogs (who are super well trained and will leave you well alone if you're not a dog-lover). The place was immaculate, and the photos don't actually do it justice. Lots of cute and unique features and high quality finish. Right next to a gorgeous stream. I walked from there over the Pennine Way to Halton, a thoroughly enjoyable 9-mile jaunt. While leaving my partner to the 3 Peaks Challenge. And the super cute Ns characterful pub up the road was on the cherry on a very enjoyable cake. I'll definitely be coming again!

We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday with our dog. The house is absolutely stunning and very large - the photos don’t even do it justice! Iain and Louise were very responsive, beds were incredibly comfortable and we very much enjoyed the beautiful village setting. We would love to visit again!

What a beautiful stay! The cottage is surrounded by green with beautiful landscape out every window. You can hear the river through the bedroom windows - so relaxing. It’s a gorgeous walk into Hebden Bridge; the other way stunning trails up to Hardcastle Crags and Gibson Mill. The cottage is super well set up for post-walk relaxing, with everything you need in the kitchen, lots of cozy seating in the living room, and am amazing great big bath. Ashley is an incredible host and has thought of everything, so friendly and helped make sure we were getting the most out of our stay and the special events on in Hebden Bridge. To top it all off, a fabulous basket of homemade goodies was waiting for us on arrival. I couldn’t recommend Kindness Cottage more.
