Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Rideau River

Staying in Maisie's beautiful log cabin home and getting to know her were both wonderful experiences! Her home, inside and out, is immaculate and spectacular, unique and such a treat to 'live in for a little while'! You surely won't be disappointed staying with Maisie - she could not be a nicer person nor could she be more welcoming, helpful or accommodating! Her home is located in peaceful countryside just minutes from Kemptville. A surprising bonus to our stay with Maisie [besides her two loving feline companions!] was to discover that she and I lived in the same rural part of MB when we were young and went to the same high school!! Talk about '6 degrees of separation'!! We will most certainly look forward to another stay with our new friend, Maisie, should we travel to Kemptville again! Thanks, Maisie - you're the best! Fantastic value for the stay. Easy check-in/out, tidy room with comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast included! Keep in mind that the bathroom is shared, but it was kept very clean and sharing it with other guests wasn't an issue.

Wow, just wow. What a gorgeous place, perfect for my 3-day solo writing & business planning retreat -- perfect for solo but it really does sleep 6! It's spacious, airy, & as clean as you'd expect when you're asked to remove shoes downstairs. It's really well organized, so it's easy to find everything, esp in the kitchen. Janice & Garry were easy to reach, often responding within minutes, & were super-friendly and helpful. Within minutes we were chatting like old friends. They've done an amazing restoration of the church, designing around original architectural elements. The loft has (literally) cathedral ceilings, with original beams & joists painted bright white, all the better to reflect sunlight pouring in from the deck. Original artwork is tastefully displayed throughout, adding special warmth & interest. The climb to the bell tower is an adventure; the reward, a jewel of a meditation room, with floor-to-ceiling windows & panoramic views of river & forest. Highly recommended!

Thanks for a great stay. We had everything we needed in the house with wonderful access to a lovely sandy beach. We enjoyed the use of the paddle boards to explore the expansive shoreline. The location is near some walking trails in the woods which our dog really enjoyed. The cottage was adjacent a public beach which was busy on the weekends, however nice and siren on the weekdays to sit and watch the sunrise. We would certainly recommend and stay again.

Parissa was the best! When we arrived, she showed us around the house and made us feel very welcomed, just like living in your house. She responded to any questions we had very quickly. Plus, we were able to rent kayaks from them and the price was worth it. The room was amazing, the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Parissa also prepared us delicious breakfast, better than hotel's food. She went above and beyond in everything! I 1000% recommend staying here!

I never leave reviews but this place was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The rooms were large and clean and comfortable. If i ever find myself in the area again i will be staying here.

Irina is very welcoming, warm, she is present and helpful, for me it is a great, well-equipped place that allows me to work and rest. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Great breakfast, hearty, great coffee!

Amazing hosts, beautiful room, great views and clean

Donna was very welcoming. She and her husband made both of us feel right at home. However, I felt like I was back in school! It makes sense since the place was a school before being converted to its present use. The room we stayed in was the size of a classroom I had when I was in elementary school, complete with chalkboard. The furniture and decorations added a really nice touch to the place. Breakfast was very nice.

We had such a lovely time! This b&b is truly a one-of-a kind find. Minutes from downtown Ottawa, this b&b feels like retreating to a cottage town. The location near the water and accessible to bike/walking trails is amazing. The hosts were wonderful and the breakfast was out of this world. Rooms look as shown and are very clean. I can’t recommend this place enough for a lovely getaway!

We took a weekend trip to upstate NY to tour Saint Lawrence University with our son and found this intriguing airbnb. We were welcomed with open arms and learned so much rich history about the building and the town. We felt like family and can't wait to return and stay in a different themed room. The complementary breakfast was excellent! Thank you so much for this experience stay. We can't wait to return!

I wish I could rate it 6/5 stars. Wonderful people, beautiful location, paid much attention to detail, and the pillows are extremely comfortable!

What a beautiful space! Such an easy spot to put our trailer ! The grass was pristine and so clean ! No dirt in our trailer at all . The hosts were so kind and friendly . We shared the space with their bunkie and we could barely tell they were there ! They have both spots positioned in a way where it still feels very private ! The boat was free to use and we had a nice sunset ride followed by a lovely campfire with a great view Of the lake !

Lovely room, lovely building, lovely spot. All was well done and check-in at Best Western was simple enough. I would definitely return.

Great room in an amazing location. We were there for a wedding across the street. It was super helpful to have a pet-friendly room so close to the venue. We had the Bridal Suite. Check in was easy at the hotel next door. The house/room is an extension of the neighbouring hotel but with nicer/more homey atmosphere. You use the same type of cards to access the house/rooms as the hotel uses, and have access to all the hotel amenities (pool, breakfast, etc.). It's an older building so it does have some character and things your would expect from an older structure, like a bathroom door that was difficult to latch and somewhat complicated light switches/wiring, but Tanya took the time to label them to avoid confusion, which is above and beyond in my opinion. Semi-private balcony overlooking the park was particularly nice and custodial staff were friendly.

Tanya was a great host, quick to respond, very pleasant and friendly. Check in was super easy. The house was lovely and the room was beautiful and comfortable. We ended up eating at the attached restaurant for dinner; The Locks and it was delicious! Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The peaceful atmosphere and rustic charm made it the perfect escape for a girls night. The food was incredible—each meal was homemade, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. Claire & Matt were warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy some unforgettable hospitality!
