Heat is provided by storage heaters and the front room has a log burning stove for a super cosy stay. There is a selection of books, maps, DVD's & children's toys. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.

Great stay. Lovely location and lots to do. House was large and roomy. Very peaceful . Little store in Eskdale had all we needed. It was very clean and kitchen was great for cooks. A great place to stay for a large family or group. I would suggest adding towels for the guest. As a super host myself I think this minor addition would make the stay feel even more special and away from it all.

We very much enjoyed the stay in Rose Cottage. Location was perfect. We could enjoy several hours walk starting our route from the cottage or next day drive a bit further for hiking around Scafell Pike. The cottage is clean, comfortable, well equipped and has nice garden with a view of hills also visible from bedrooms. We will be back:-)

Great place to stay with a great view and so close to scafell pike. We struggled to find in the first place but the instructions were clear when on the right road and was our own fault. Can't fault the apartment itself has everything you need.

A really lovely little house. Very comfy and very cosy, with everything you could need. It’s in a lovely part of the Lake District, close to the hills and the coast. The amenities were great with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. Irton Hall, where the property is located, is a lovely little place with a private feeling.
