Great spot with all the basics needed for a short stay

The shepherds hut and the location was perfect for us. We have loved the peaceful nature surrounding us. The owner, Chris was helpful and we got all the instructions that helped us to find some closeby experienced when we needed.

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and relaxed with a nice Barbeque ( which was provided!). The highlight was lighting the fire pit in the evening and huddling around the flames. Kellie was super helpful, and the kitchen/ bathroom had everything we needed. We would love to come back!

Located in a wonderful private garden full of flowers and birdsong. Next to walks and good for cycling; definitely planning to come back.

We loved Hannah's place. The hut is exactly like the pictures, really comfy, we felt at home. Hannah is really friendly and helpful. Amazing place for dogs and to connect with nature Definitely we would go back.

We had a lovely one night stay. Beautifully finished hut and being able to have a hot tub watching the sunset was a joy! We feel for Andrew, our host, as the building permissions stalling mean the view from the hut is less than ideal. But it did not spoil our stay

A peaceful retreat - perfect for a weekend getaway.

Lovely charming place to stay. Easily accessible with lovely Lewes and the coast so nearby. The facilities were great, very peaceful. Fire pit and logs provided. Bottle of wine and scones was a lovely extra touch!

We had the best time at Pete’s hut- we’re so glad we chose to do 3 nights. Everything was perfect, accessible, easy with parking, so peaceful, little lambs right at our window, fire pit and log burner, very hot water and electricity etc. the chatty and sheep farm is stunning and so private. We didn’t see anyone else the whole time! You can do a 12k walk through sissinghurst guest past the castle and to a village pub. Good fish and chips in sissinghurst. The hut had everything we need it was amazing thank you.

Such a lovely place to stay; a beautiful waggon in a quiet leafy garden. Everything you need, and a generous welcome hamper too! Keeley is a fantastic host - friendly and helpful, and I will definitely be back sometime for a third visit!

Had a super nice time this weekend with my partner. Laura was super responsive and made it really easy for us with making sure we had everything we needed. It was super relaxing and serene watching the sun go down next to the fire pit. The new hot tub didn’t disappoint either. Thanks again!

Had a great stay , would highly recommend for those looking for a peaceful retreat and the added bonus of alpacas roaming freely outside the cabin. Definitely a unique experience with no complications or complaints. Host is friendly ,informative and responsive. Will gladly stay here again when the opportunity arises .

We had the most amazing weekend getaway! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The space was cozy, clean, and beautifully set up for a relaxing break—and the hot tub was definitely the highlight! What made our stay even more special was our wonderful hostess, Sam. She was incredibly friendly, responsive, and made us feel right at home. From thoughtful little touches to helpful local recommendations, she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with all the right vibes and a host who truly cares, look no further!

Lovely stay at Sian’s hut. Everything we needed there including a welcome lemon drizzle cake. Nice walk to local pubs which served superb food. Our dog loved it as well, the enclosed area was brilliant for him, plenty of space for him to roam without having to worry that he’d wandered off somewhere, he especially liked the three pigs that were near us. Sian was a brilliant host with great comms. She kept us well supplied with ice blocks for the cool box and made sure we had everything we needed. Would thoroughly recommend a stay if you want some peace and quit and to get away from it all 👍👍

Wow! What a beautiful place! ❤️ I came alone as I wanted some quiet alone time and omg did I get that! The hut itself is beautiful and so well thought out. It’s so clean and organised and In the most beautiful location! Hayley is absolutely wonderful and so welcoming and attentive. I couldn’t recommend this beautiful stay any more! The accommodation offered by Ben and his fellow hosts was exactly as described, easy access and spotlessly clean, nice and close to Port Lymnpe Safari Park (we went there on day 2) The accommodation was comfortable and well designed, it fit quite a lot inside but didn’t feel cramped. We found a nice fish and chip shop 10 minutes away and enjoyed eating our food at the outside table (didn’t want to make the hut smell!!) The bathroom/kitchen area were very clean the bed and bedding again was clean and smelt nice, a good nights sleep was had. I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone who needs to get to the Safari Park nice and early or anyone who fancies a night away in exceptional surroundings.

We had a lovely couple of nights here as we were in the area for a family wedding. It is idyllic - so quiet and peaceful. For a shepherd's hut we were amazed by the space inside. full height shower and spacious etc. Kitchen was well resourced and the bed was very comfy and cosy. Local curry house, Blue India, about ten mins drive away and that was lovely. Really can't fault the place. Bit of a tricky walk from the car park to the hut, but when you get there and are in total silence and green space, you appreciate it! We'll be coming back, for sure.

A lovely place to kick back and relax for a few days, with everything I needed. A nice hot shower, comfortable bed, hob and fridge, and a woodburner. And I even saw deer, geese (complete with goslings), a hare and a badger. Perfect :)

Stayed in the private suite for one night and found it absolutely delightful — snug, quiet, and thoughtfully equipped for a short countryside escape. The space had everything we needed, and the surrounding area is peaceful and full of charm. The location is walkable to Selling station, but do note: if you’re relying on public transport, trains can be delayed or cancelled, which can make getting there a bit tricky without a car. Once you’re there, it’s lovely — surrounded by fields, and close to some wonderful seasonal activities like cherry picking and farm dinners. A great choice for a serene overnight stay in nature.

Our stay was just perfect! We travelled from Lincolnshire to attend a family party. My partner, myself, 13-year old daughter and our two dogs - you’d think it would be a tad crowded but the shepherds hut was still spacious, tucked away and in a great position in the orchard. The decking area was lovely, a bistro set and some sun loungers, gated as well; which was ideal for giving the dogs some freedom without causing an annoyance for the animals on the farm. Charlotte had provided a punnet of fresh cherries from the orchard - they were delicious! The bathroom was a very short walk from the shepherds hut, and we didn’t mind that one bit. Charlottes is very responsive and the hut had everything you might need plus some extra touches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would 100% recommend - will book again! Thank you, Charlotte, your place is just lovely and you’re a fantastic host!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful countryside Shepherd’s hut. The setting was beautful, peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature, making it the perfect weekend escape for my partners birthday. The hut itself was so charming and well-equipped. The host went above and beyond to make our stay special. She had thought of everything—there were so many lovely touches, from the birthday bunting and a bottle of wine to enjoy, which was such a thoughtful surprise! Everything we could have possibly needed was provided, and the attention to detail really showed. The area itself is stunning too - quiet, scenic, and full of lovely walks and countryside views. Kelly was amazing: warm, helpful, and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived, provided lots of information. This weekend getaway was exactly what we needed—peaceful, comfortable, and stunning. Would definitely return and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special countryside break. 🥰

What a beautiful little shepherd hut just a shame we were called away a day early would’ve liked to have stayed the full-time would recommend to stay if you are in the area

Anne-Marie was so flexible, responsive, and helpful both before and during our stay! Wonderful communication and very easy check-in and check-out. The hut was very clean and had everything we needed in terms of kitchen, bathroom, heating, and food storage. The welcome pack Anne-Marie prepared had loads of helpful information about the hut and the local surroundings, which meant that we felt well informed of how to keep ourselves comfortable during our stay. The hut came with maps and guide books for local walks, which was great. The owl hut is far from the main house and very secluded with lots of privacy, and the view is gorgeous and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only surprises were that the bed was not very comfortable, and the traffic from the main road was more audible than expected. Thank you Anne-Marie!
