Waterfront holiday rentals in River Tamar

The ideal spot if you want to explore Kingswear and Dartmouth. Beautiful riverside location with plenty of birdlife to spot on the estuary. The living room/conservatory is the perfect place to unwind while admiring the views. Clean kitchen and bathroom with everything you could need for a few days' stay. Ideally located for the ferry to Dartmouth and a couple of nice pubs for food in the evening are only a few minutes walk from the front door. Parking is just across the road and free during your stay. There are a few steep steps up to the house, so don't take too much luggage! Mark is a brilliant and responsive host.

We had a fab stay here for a few days. Amazing location, well equipped kitchen and bed incredibly comfortable. We recommend following the South West coastal path for anyone wishing to take a good walk - it's beautiful.

Spacious flat with absolutely beautiful view. Friendly and responsive hosts and lovely and clean place, with lots of space for our 4 person family. Parking space is a bonus and very convenient. Thanks for making my 40th birthday so special! We love this part of Newquay and have stayed at Crest Court (in various airbnbs) for 5 years now every May - it’s great.

perfect location, close enough to main area to make it accessible...but far enough away to keep it quiet. Janet responded promptly to every question and gave us great recommendations for pubs and food. Fabulous place, fabulous host

Loved it! Fantastic location, clean & comfortable space with a great view. Really appreciated the excellent dining recommendations as we loved the Fish House and Fort restaurants. Also liked Lost Brewery for beer and burgers. If interested in a bit of an excursion, or otherwise find yourself in the south eastern part of Cornwall, you have to check out the Hidden Hut near Truro.

Another fabulous stay here. We always enjoy our time at Louise’s place. As always, extremely clean, well stocked, and lovely little personal touches and amazing views. Louise is always very helpful, lots of great recommendations. We will be back!

Fabulous apartment, extremely clean, spacious with quality fittings. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. The location of the apartment is amazing, sea views to front and views of the nature reserve to the back. The balcony with seating was a great addition which we used every night to watch the sunset. We've stayed at quite a few places in South Devon and this was certainly the best and made for an amazing holiday. Private parking was an added bonus. Hope to be back.

We had the best weekend staying in Amanada’s house celebrating a birthday it was beautiful. The house is even more beautiful than in the photos & my 2 year old loved looking out to sea every morning seeing the birds. We will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you so much ☺️ one bonus for families thinking of booking that I did not see prior to our stay is the stairgate at the top of the stairs to the kitchen it was perfect with 2 young children we could shut this off.

We had the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing stay at The Anchorage. The location was superb, and the views from the house were my personal favorite part. I spent every spare minute in the sunroom looking at the ocean. There was plenty of space for us to all be comfortable and my children especially enjoyed the kids room with bunk beds! The town is beautiful and there are so many different beach options around to choose from. It is definitely a little stressful driving in the village (coming from from an American haha) but that aside it was a perfect end to our vacation and I plan on booking again (this time with some friends or maybe extended family to fill up the many bedrooms!)

Really enjoyed our stay at the Slipway. Great location for walking into town and the property is very comfortable and well equipped. Nice view of the river from the property and communication with Neil very easy.

Hannah and Heath were absolute stars! Can you imagine our embarrassment at turning up a day earlier than we had booked for?! Hannah and Heath came down to their lovely cottage and got it all prepared at speed for us! So kind and incredibly generous considering our blunder. The cottage was well furnished, very clean, and had all mod cons. There were very thoughtful additions of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and some yummy chocolate treats. We were very comfortable there. The setting is absolutley beautiful and we were told that we could exercise our dog in the field behind the cottage. That was set out with a very large Children's Activity Centre that you might find in a play park. You could access the Tarka Trail via their land, which was great as we did some long walks along it, and stopped for refreshments at the Puffing Billy Cafe. We loved the cottage, it was everything and more! We would certainly like to return again for another stay and explore the area in more depth.

We loved our stay at Samantha's house. The view from the living room and master bedroom was stunning. The location was great, a short walk across the bridge to all the restaurants and shops. We took the ferry across a number of times too which was very handy! The place was spotlessly clean and really well equipped. It felt very homely. We had dinner in the nearby Sardine Factory restaurant and would highly recommend. The house is also a short scenic walk from Hannafore beach. Samantha was a very helpful and responsive host. We would happily stay there again!

What can we say, from booking our stay, to leaving after an amazing week, we truly felt at home. Kam and Bens home is beautiful throughout, there wasn’t one thing that we thought we needed or wanted that wasn’t provided for. Kam met us on arrival, earlier than we expected, and showed us around her wonderful home, all instructions in a helpful guide in the kitchen, even tide times, for trips. Great advice for our trip to Lundy, she even sent us up to date weather forecast . Kam provided us with mobile numbers if we were stuck for anything, and ensured it was ok for Ben to check the hot-tub, when we were out. Lovely touches, such as robes for getting out of the tub, were much appreciated. Superb hosts, will definitely visit again, our daughter and her partner joined us for a few days and loved every minute, lovely walk to the beach, only 10mins away, and the most amazing sunsets from the lounge and bedroom . Extremely warm welcome from the lovely hosts to their beautiful and immaculately kept home with loving attention to every detail. Though we went over New Year with miserable/stormy weather the Boathouse was cosy and the sheltered wood burning hot tub was a must, perfect in all weathers. Drinking coffee early morning by the river’s edge was serene. Would highly recommend for a getaway.

Very sweet little cottage. Absolutely spotless, comfy beds and bed linen, lovely location where you walk straight from the door on a loop around the river. Tranquil and so beautiful. Easy to find and great parking.

We had an incredible stay at this apartment right by Fistral Beach. The views were absolutely stunning waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunset from the window was unforgettable. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops, yet peaceful and quiet in the evenings. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for exploring Newquay. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great central location — right on the Hoe and just a short walk to the Barbican, where there are plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs to enjoy. The flat itself is modern, clean, and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Check-in was really easy and hassle-free. Would definitely recommend!

Smashing wee place with great access for walks around the area or just exploring Penryn itself and especially handy for cafes, takeaways restaurants and good pubs. It was nice to return to somewhere I'd been before and see how it had improved since 1979!

We had an amazing stay at Turnchapel, the condo is easy to find with ample parking. Great location for getting to the city via water taxi.. stunning views and very peaceful.. Sunset to die for and everything you need in the condo !

A fabulous location overlooking the river/harbour. Gemma's is a really nice 2nd floor apartment on level ground at the start of the main street and only a 10 minute walk to the beach. If you're OK with the stairs I thoroughly recommend it.

Great location, property and host. Becki was so friendly and the apartment was lovely and clean and felt secure. We parked the car on site, organised easily with Becki, and walked and travelled by ferry everywhere. We had a brilliant relaxing stay and we would highly recommend. Royal William Yard is a truly unique and a wonderful place to stay and the apartment was perfect for the two of us.

Mevagissey on the south Cornish coast was a little gem. A fishing harbour with huge tides, lots of shops, bakeries, and restaurants . The flat was compact clean and had good kitchen and laundry facilities. Perfect for a couple to explore the town or further afield. The ferry to Fowey was a highlight as was walking the harbour and streets. Location was a joy and we’d have no hesitation to recommend!
