Cottage holiday rentals in Riverport

Cozy, extremely clean and very well equipped. Beautiful property with, and neighbouring undeveloped lots with, treed primary, intermediate and the occasional old growth forest, including mostly red maple, white birch, eastern hemlock, balsam fir, black and red spruce and eastern white pine. That was the view from the hot tub overlooking the small lake. Perfectly nestled feeling, good bird watching and close to day trips and amenities.

Booked well in advance with great communication with Stephanie & Peter. Once there was blown away because the pictures truly do not do it justice. The space was beautiful, clean and organized, it was amazing having lots of plates, utensils, condiments, lots of towels and blankets available. The hot tub was full and clean. The view was just so stunning to wake up to every morning. It was very peaceful! I will be rebooking. Thank you Stephanie & Peter for the hospitality and allowing us into your space to celebrate our anniversary. Truly exceptional!

We had a lovely stay at Melanie's cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything that we needed. (bottle of wine was a nice touch) Melanie was very responsive to our questions and responded right away. The cottage is on a busy street but is relatively quiet when you are on the beautiful front deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the area.

We had an excellent time at Birchwood. The cabin is cozy and clean and the property is well maintained. The location is incredible, right on a beautiful lake with lots of privacy. The owners are friendly and accomodating. Can't recommend enough.

We had a great time at the Point House. The house gave us panoramic views of the cove and pond. Hot tub a plus. Emma was very generous, friendly and welcoming.

Spent a wonderful weekend in Hirtles Cottage on Shobac Farm. This area in January is quiet and peaceful. There’s tons to do on the farm (hike to the beach, mingle with sheep ++) but the cottage is so thoughtfully designed and comfortable that it was easy to pass time indoors on one of the rainier days. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Very cozy cottage with great views. So nice to come back to after a day of exploring Nova Scotia. Centrally located - we made day trips to Halifax, Lunenberg, Fundy Bay, etc. Because of the weather we didn't get to enjoy the decks much, but we did see one gorgeous sunset, and even when the weather was nasty it was nice to sit inside and watch the waves and the fog from our cozy warm chairs by the fireplace. The cottage is right behind the main house and you share the back yard and sun deck, but that really wasn't an issue since the weather was cold and windy. We barely saw the guests in the main house.

The space was very relaxing, and the hot tub was definitely worth the money!

Loved my stay at the Salty Crib! I have deep roots in Nova Scotia so I don’t mind things like a slight whiff of sulphur in the water…at the end of a dry summer, I’m glad to have enough water, period. (Which there was.) Melissa’s place was comfortable, incredibly quiet and in a beautiful location. I stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave! Loved my daily swim a half-hour walk down the road at Feltzen South Beach. This was the perfect rustic retreat with an ocean view. Would definitely stay here again.

Stone's Throw cottage is like a home away from home for me. I have been visiting annually for a number of years and no place could match it. Joe is the super host of super hosts - he has thought of everything and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a truly memorable experience. As always, I arrived to the most thoughtful treats - including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee, cookies, a candle, and more - and all of it local, too! I left relaxed, refreshed, and already planning for next year. Thanks, Joe!

This was the perfect rustic get-away! The kids had so much to do, and mom and dad had lots of space to relax. The diving dock was a hit (even in the cold) and kayaks were awesome! The boat washroom at the beach was such a nice touch and was super clean, the beach toys and kids toys in the cabin were great. I’m so thankful to have had an affordable place to unplug with my family- Thank you Keith and Sarah!!

Ian and Sandi’s family cottage was perfect, like finding a piece of paradise. It was even more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions portrayed. Beds and linens were amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. It’s spacious both inside and out. We can’t wait to go back.

Rob and Jacquie responded to our every question with professionalism and positivity. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed the lake the outdoor fire pit,the view, the kitchen. The place was absolutely beautiful and very spacious. A lot of thought went into every detail of the space. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen for hosting. It was a lovely spot.

I was looking for a last minute booking when I had to abandon my camping plans due to a storm. Dee was super responsive to my last minute request and was extremely accommodating making sure that I had plenty of fire wood and water in case the power went out. She also dropped off extra towels and blankets for my pup and was warm and welcoming to us both. The property is off the main road and was great for playing frisbee with my dog. The old store was wonderfully refurbished, keeping many of the original features while providing all the modern conveniences. I hope to be back!!!

I can summarize our experience in two words: absolutely fantastic! Every amenity you could need was there, the cabin was clean and tidy, and our host was excellent to deal with. Brendan was very responsive and helpful whenever we needed him. A great experience and we will definitely be back!

Jill was absolutely amazing at accommodating my stay. She very open minded and willing to work with my party which made my weekend stay perfect. The place was very roomy, quiet, and had the best views. We will definitely be staying again!

Very cute cottage just 3 minutes from downtown Mahone Bay. Loved the folks art by a local artist . They are hung in the little alcove and I bought two of them . If you need a large grocery store there are two in Bridgewater which is just a 20 minute drive.Bathroom is tiny but does have a full size shower/tub combo. I highly recommend a meal at Rebecca's, Sandwiches from Joann's Market,coffee from The Barn. Thanks Lisette,you were a great hostess.

Laura’s place was like paradise. Relaxing, quiet, clean, felt like I was at home but away from home. She is without a doubt, the most responsive person I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb super accommodating, extremely kind. I can’t wait to book my next visit and I definitely cannot wait to go back there in the summertime. The downstairs was so much fun. I haven’t played pool in years Laura‘s places is also super modern and just absolutely stunning. I feel like I can’t say enough, everything was very easy to find. This place had everything you need. if you’re looking for a place to go relax with a beautiful view and have privacy, this is your spot.

This place is stunning! Within 5 minutes of arriving we knew this was going to be a great trip. Richie was very helpful and the arrival was smooth. The location is so picturesque; the view is amazing. The 3 beaches are completely private. The walk through the small path to the rocks was a great discovery and we spent time just sitting on the rocks enjoying the scenery. The house is beautiful and everything you could possibly need was provided. Even the towels were so soft and fluffy. The wood burning stove was a real treat on a chilly evening. The house is spotlessly clean and very well decorated. It’s a quiet area but not far from Peggy’s Cove or Halifax. Overall I can recommend this property enough. If Richie ever decides to sell I’ll be first in the queue. Overall a fantastic stay and we’ll definitely be back. Thanks Richie :)

We loved staying at the cottage on Main. The house had everthing we needed and the beds were comfy. We could walk to the town and the small supermarket. The home was cozy and kept us warm during the chilly noreaster storm. We appreciated the laundry, the books, the coffee. We would return! Thank you!

We absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the cottage. The place was spotlessly clean and cozy and had all the amenities you could possibly need. The place is very private and we got to enjoy the kayaks and a lovely bonfire under the stars. The hosts are very accommodating, friendly and responsive. This is one of the nicest AirBnBs I have stayed at and we are already planning to come again next summer. Highly recommended!

I had a lovely stay at David and Nancy's cottage. The cottage was roomy, spotlessly clean and fully equipped (the kitchen had a few items in it that I don't even have in my own kitchen). It was comfortable and convenient and David and Nancy were responsive, kind and generous. I would definitely stay with them again the next time I am in Hubbards. (I'd come back just for Nancy's homemade chocolate mints!)

We truly could not write a more raving review of Claudia and Dragonfly Dreams – 10s across the board! We were looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and de-stress and we got that and so much more. Claudia's cabin was so peaceful we slept 14 hours our first night! The cabin is absolutely perfect. No other properties are within sight, making this feel like you are in your own nature's paradise. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, cookware, and even spices, and we enjoyed staying in and cooking all our meals. The bed was extremely comfy (obviously!). We enjoyed a wonderful canoe and swim as well. We had to save the best for last – Claudia! Having stayed at many Airbnbs around the world, Claudia is up there as the best host we've ever interacted with. She is so warm, kind and accommodating. She is extremely responsive to messages and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. We are so grateful for her and we will definitely be back one day! Don't hesitate to book!
