Monthly Rentals in Roaring Creek

One of my favorite stays on airbnb. Everything as described, good communication. Great spot!

The home along the creek is very nice, it is 100 years old and one can imagine all the history gone by. We like to go down to the lower end of the property to hang out along the creek. It was very peaceful there. The weather was cold and wet, but Saturday finally got sunny:) One does not even hear the traffic going by, not that there is any. The kitchen was great for any cooking that you want to do. There is plenty of seating in the living room. The bedroom that we used the back one has a view of the creek. There are plenty of games and puzzles to keep one busy. The main road has been recently been paved and the main road into Newland is back in order as well. We didn't try the AT as it was raining, which has a trail at the end of the road that the house is on.

We had a great stay at the Plumtree Cabin, it was nice to journey through the mountains and find ourselves in a private Cabin next to a farm. We were also welcomed by a family of 7 deer each night of our stay. Very affordable and comfortable cabin. Will definitely keep in mind for future travels.

So I really hate giving the Fossil House any stars, seriously instead of stars it should be sharks teeth or vertebra fossils... We're going with 5 sharks teeth this time! My stay at the Fossil House was just what I was looking for, solitude, inspiration and a chance to recharge. The cabin was just as pictured in the listing. Clean and comfortable, and the personal and sometimes quirky decor made it feel more homey and inviting. Frank was a Great host with very quick responses to any questions I had. Appreciated Frank checking in unobtrusively a couple of times during my stay to see all was going well. (Personal side note: You will notice the huge devastation in WNC from Helene if you travel anywhere through the area. It is amazing the amount of recovery that has been done, but there is much more to do. Consider being generous with your tipping or donations to your local servers, businesses, non-profits etc., and with your patients as well.) Thank you Frank, hope to see you soon!
