Family-friendly holiday rentals in Roche Harbor

I was traveling with 3 kids (pre teen and teens). We all loved our stay! There was so much to do and absolutely everything we needed for anything we could think of doing. We enjoyed ping pong, biking, s’more’s, kayaking, games, cooking meals, watching wildlife (seals, a huge sea lion, weasel, bald eagles), and hanging out with a friendly black cat that visited. I cooked a couple meals and had everything I needed for cooking and storage. The view was amazing and north-facing which made me upset that I missed the strong auroras by 1 day :( I wish we could have stayed longer!

Beautiful view! Definitely a small but as expected space. It was a little hard to reverse from the parking spot as the wood pile was spilling over but we loved our experience. The hot tub was great!

Jacquie place was outstanding and matched the pictures and description. Her place was cozy and had all the items (kitchen ware, linens, etc.) that you would need to feel at home, as well as backups which is always nice. Her property was on many acres, with owls, ravens and her horses which made the experience even more memorable - the hot tub was also a wonderful way to start and end the days. She was an excellent communicator and it was a wonderful first time experience to Mayne Island.

Caroline’s home is clean and comfortable and has stunning views. The upper deck was a wonderful place to relax and converse with friends! Caroline is a wonderful host. She provided excellent suggestions to make our stay even more enjoyable than originally planned. She is responsive and kind! I highly recommend Caroline’s home!

Carol’s place was AMAZING! The kitchen had everything needed to make meals for dining in, which we did a lot of because THAT VIEW!! We didn’t want to leave, just wanted to sit and watch for marine life. We saw seals, dolphins, eagles, and a family of 6 sea otters playing. When the evening started to cool we moved our binoculars to the hot tub to continue enjoying the views and serenity. My family agreed the beds were comfy and we all slept well. If you are looking for a go go go vacay Pender Island is not your place. If you want easy hikes in gorgeous surroundings, peace that reaches your very core, and super friendly people I definitely recommend Pender Island! The didc golf course has discs for public use and was really fun! Driftwood shopping center has all you will need. We recommend Sea Star Winery and a stop at Bee Wild distillery for tastings. We HIGHLY recommend Carol’s place!

This place is incredible! My best friend and I needed a quick escape from the city and this place was a dream. Amazing location, beautiful views close to town with incredible restaurants. John & Sarah were incredibly kind and welcoming. If you get the chance to stay here, I highly recommend doing so.

Richard is a great guy, very helpful! The view from the great room is breathtaking! The view goes down a straight stretch of salmon river to wooded slopes in the distance going up to majestic snow-covered peaks. You can see it clearly through the glass windows in the great room, and from a very nice Well done patio. Love the place!

My only comment is that is was very hard to find the place especially in the dark. Google maps took me to a neighbouring house and it was very confusing. That being said I didn’t fully ready the hosts instructions so she may have mentioned that! Wonderful place though, we would definitely stay here again.

Bay #1 house was super clean and well organized. The location is perfect for a stay on Lopez Island because it is only a few minutes drive from the village and it’s also a reasonable distance to walk. The living room and porch have amazing views of the sunset across Fisherman Bay. The house is cozy and warm. Carole let us know all of the information we needed for a great stay!

absolutely gorgeous cabin. amazing views and private access to the water was incredible. my girlfriend and I spent our 1 year anniversary here and it couldn't have been better.

We really enjoyed our time at Trish’s place! It was very clean, had a beautiful view, and all the animals were so adorable. Trish and Nick were also wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic stay and delivered the solitude in nature that I was looking for. It was a great way to experience the San Juans. The view was stunning, the access to the beach was stellar, and one of the best ways to spend a few days relaxing. The loaner vehicle was perfect to get us from dock to house. Reminder, for anyone looking to book this airBNB, please be mindful of what you pack and bring as there is no store to quickly run to if you forgot something. Also, you need to pack out your recyclables & non-compostables. Overall, would stay again and have already recommended it to others as an Eco-friendly vacation destination.

This was a wonderful setting for family connection. The expansive property gave the kids plenty of space to explore. We so enjoyed kayaking to Skull Island, many rounds of frisbee golf, hiking from the property to expansive views, and crabbing from the dock. The rental was exactly as advertised, and Dennis and Lynna were very thoughtful, responsive hosts.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Kelly’s suite by the sea! The space was even better than we expected - appears to be recently renovated with modern finishes, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Kelly was super responsive, helpful, and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay. The location was great, I would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay!

We had such an amazing stay! The surrounding nature was breathtaking and the space was cozy + comfortable. Hosts were super kind and accommodating! Jody even moved our check-in time earlier in the day upon our super last minute request. We would book again :)

We had a wonderful stay. Billie was friendly and approachable, and so wonderful. We enjoy the clean and comfortable place, and swimming pool. The place was very close from the main shopping/restaurants area and it made our stay very enjoyable. Thank you for everything Billie!

What a great spot! Nestled in the woods in a peaceful and quiet setting this place is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is very unique with lots of character that sets it apart from the usual stays. It was clean and had all we needed. Our host Gramma Rikki was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we could not take advantage of all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We played pool, sat by the cozy fire and did some island exploring by car. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway despite the crummy weather. We hope to return one day and experience everything this wonderful place has to offer.

This is a great place to stay to be next to downtown Victoria. It’s as advertised in the listing’s description and photos. There’s plenty of room for a couple and everything is in good condition. Washroom facilities, washer/dryer units, and wifi all worked well. We did not use any of the cooking appliances. The location is walkable to plenty of restaurants/bars in the area. We were comfortable and felt safe walking around at night; we did not have any issues with noise. Agata is a great host! Her instructions made check-in and check-out super easy. She responded within minutes anytime I messaged her. Overall, I would highly recommend this place, especially for couples, if you want to be next to downtown Victoria.

Derek’s place was very clean and cozy. It was very welcoming and we felt like home when we stayed at his place. My family were very comfortable while staying there and Derek was also easy to communicate wiith. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Pool and hot tub were great. Super clean and nice - only complaint was that there was no AC that we could find so it was quite hot.

Lara is a fabulous host! Her house amenities are abundant and well thought out! She has provisions for everything you would want or need. She is also very accommodating and responsive! Great personality! Her location is just remote enough to be peaceful but close enough to all local attractions and businesses to be very convenient.
