Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Rochford District

Our group of six—two adults, one young adult, and three teenagers—had a very comfortable stay at Lesley’s lovely home. It, indeed, felt very much like a home and not just a rental property. There was ample space for all of us, and it was great to have three toilets and two showers. The location is superb—a short walk to coffee, restaurants, and the riverfront, which we enjoyed strolling along in the evening. A great place for a larger group to stay in Wivenhoe!

The place is really beautiful and cozy. It is very near to Canterbury West, which is very convenient. The place is also very clean with all the amneties provided. However, the location is directly in front of the road so it gets a bit noisy at night. Nonetheless, it was a very great place to stay in. Stuart is also very kind and fast reponse

Great stay, with lovely interior of accomodation and nice garden. Even toys for our son were there as well as all necessary bathing equipment. Beautiful garden and great location to explore the area with train (1 hour train ride to London)

Wonderful stay in a lovely location. We stayed during the week so it was quieter which was good as my dog was with me and can be reactive but did surprisingly well. Being in old Leigh was lovely and right by the beach. I found parking really easy in the area and not expensive. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here – it was perfect in every way. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt so private and peaceful, with the bonus of parking right outside the door. One of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in, and the shower was brilliant too – hot, powerful, and refreshing. Nikki was such a friendly and thoughtful host – we felt so welcomed. The generous touches like fresh bread, cookies, milk, and sweets made us smile and really added to the experience. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more – a truly lovely place to stay and unwind. Great location for a seaside stay. Accommodation very good but fairly hard work for us as old age pensioners; Leigh-on-Sea is fairly hilly and although the location of the house was excellent, it wasn't the easiest for us with a pushchair and two-year old in tow (we had our daughter with us which helped considerably)!

We spent a very happy Christmas at the house visiting relatives in the area. The house is well appointed and extremely comfortable - though you do need to be a fan of soft beds (which I am). Everything worked and was scrupulously clean. The only problem we had was that the fuse for the cooker and oven had been tripped before we arrived but there was a rapid response to our (panicky) phone call and we were able to locate the fuse board. The area only has one small shop but it's a fairly quick walk or train ride to the town. Overall very nice stay and we had lots to do around Southend including the pantomime and the Helen Mirren phone box / museum! Worth a quick look. (I think it was on the corner of Alexander Road and Cashiobury Terrace). Anyway, thank you.

Lovely weekend away in Margate. 8min walk to town along the promenade from the flat. We came to attend the 80's rewind festival at Dreamland. Found great places for morning coffee along the way too. The flat was located in quiet street, 4 min walk to beach. Jonathan was always responsive if we had a question but everything was so well organised we found what we needed. Will definitely return in the future and would recommend.

What a fantastic place - location is superb and right on the beach with short walks to the great restaurants, bars, and cafes of Marget. Amy was super helpful and responsive. Place was clean with stellar accommodations for both kids and adults. The decor is really impressive - love what they've done with this place. If you have a chance to stay here, don't pass it up.

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Lorraine's house. The flat is right opposite the beach which is amazing. The flat was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels which was very handy. overall a very positive experience.

Just returned from a really lovely couple of days at Windy CornerCottage. Location is fabulous. Easy to find and parking very easy in the space provided. Sea front 1 minute walk, nearest shop 5 minutes. Plenty of pubs restaurants coffee shops within easy walking distance including co op and Sainsbury’s local. Windy Corner cafe is on the ground floor below the flat great for a snack or coffee. Despite proximity to everything location is wonderfully quiet and relaxing. The apartment itself is very comfortable and homely. Slept brilliantly in the double bed. Didn’t use the twin room but it looked very comfortable too. Bathroom was clean with lovely walk in shower and kitchen/ living room comfortable and clean. We did not cook or use washing machine so cannot comment on these. Communication was great from the minute we made the booking. We collected and returned keys to the cafe who couldn’t have been more helpful but there is also a lockbox if needed. Overall experience faultless.

It’s so lovely when a host provides a few necessities…Stephen goes above and provides a wealth of items!! We had more bread, cereal, jam, croissants etc than we could use. Plus a bottle of proseco 😊. A really nice place to stay. The throw rugs were appreciated on chilly nights. Great communication.

This is a great place to stay for a short break or a working visit to Margate. Everything I needed for my stay in a nice location close to the seafront.Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at this peaceful bungalow. Everything we needed was provided at a very high standard. This was our send visit and we will be back.

We had a great Christmas. The house is a much bigger then the photos. Plenty of space for a large family and more then enough hot water for all of us!! The house is very clean, enough pots, pans plates etc. Lovely setting, loved the little church, which is open for visiters only, seeped in history.

We had a lovely stay in West Mersea this weekend. The airbnb is in a perfect location, with a short walk down to the beach. The property is beautiful and spacious and the projector is incredible! Tony and Mas were wonderful hosts and were easily contactable throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience at Pauline house. The house is huge and could accomodate our extended family of 13 people for the weekend. The house has all the amenities required for your stay as this is the house they live in. The garden is wonderful and provided lots of spaces for my children to play cricket and football. It is very well located as the high street is just a few minutes walk away. Pauline was very responsive with my queries before our visit and her son was in the summer house during our stay and was able to address all the questions we had. We had a memorable experience celebrating our 40th birthday with our family and I would recommend the place to anyone looking for a wonderful house to stay in Sevenoaks.

Julia’s place is spacious, beautiful, clean and an easy commute for us due to the Elizabeth line train station less than 5 mins walk from the house. Julia was responsive for any questions and we will definitely book again when visiting London.
