Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Rockbridge County

A small group of friends and I stayed at Anne’s place for our best friends wedding. Needless to say, this was the perfect spot. Anne’s place was utterly beautiful and peaceful. The house was so cozy and quaint, the family photos on the wall that depicted the home from a different generation made our stay that much more special. We felt so at home and it was the perfect place to unwind and celebrate our friend. Anne went above and beyond by providing us with fresh eggs, juices, and a variety of other breakfast items. Cooking in the rustic kitchen was hands down our favorite part! 10/10 would recommend staying at Anne’s place!

Rebecca was an outstanding host. An amazing person and a pleasure to be around. The property and house were exactly what we were looking for during our weekend of history. A short stay at The Treehouse gave us just the break we needed! Ramona's prompt communication, instructions, recommendations, and just the thoughtfulness in little things around the house made the stay all the more relaxing. The location needed some specific steps which Ramona/Chip had conveyed perfectly. You'll feel like you're away from the world, and have everything you need to be away from the world! The town of Lexington is close by - with excellent recommendations from the hosts for food and drinks. The house itself is charming, with ample light and beautiful views. Everything from the wall art to the guidebook spoke of the hosts thoughtfulness and attention to detail. We will definitely be back during the fall season to experience the beauty of the place all over again, in a new way!

This place in the mountains is BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to stay longer. I was there for my graduation from Liberty University. It was about an hour away, but it worked for me because the property was large enough to house all of my family and friends. Jennifer was VERY responsive. The kitchen was amazing. There is a Food Lion about 6 minutes away down the hill, and restaurants. My grandsons and niece loved the outdoor play area. My husband loved the fire pit. I loved sitting on the porch on the swing. This was the perfect location for us to visit with our daughter and son-in-law this weekend. The home was very spacious and everything was in excellent condition. Will definitely book again.

It was our second visit. The first visit was about 2 years ago. As soon as we walked through the door, it was as if we never left. It was just as lovely and welcoming as we remembered. The house is comfortable, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. The large, covered porch is perfect for enjoying the outdoors and the views. It’s completely secluded and private, yet less than 2 miles to the center of town. Don’t worry if you think you have forgotten to bring something you might want for the kitchen or bathroom. You will find everything you need, and probably much more! We look forward to a return visit, and plan to make it a bit sooner next time. Thanks Vicki and Jennifer!

We stayed at this home for W&L graduation. It was just as described and was well-appointed and clean. There was a ramp to the first floor which was accommodated one of our guests who had mobility issues. The home has plenty of space and worked well for our group of 8. It is in a somewhat remote location (which we knew when we booked) with beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were responsive to all of our inquiries. Unfortunately, now that our son has graduated we probably won't have an occasion to stay here again but we would definitely recommend it if you don't mind a 20 minute ride to the W&L campus.

We had an amazing night after getting our concert in DC cancelled we decided to get close to nature! We went to the safari near by and enjoyed the hot tub. Amazing host, very responsive and we will definitely come back to explore more of the surroundings.

We stayed at Winston’s Retreat for two nights while visiting friends in Lexington. The space was clean, cozy, and peaceful. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with Starbucks Keurig pods and there was a pitcher of cold, filtered water waiting for us in the fridge. It was easy to connect to the guest Wi-Fi and use the Roku TV, and we appreciated the USB docks on the nightstands for our chargers. We loved sitting out on the private porch overlooking the beautifully landscaped yard. The proximity to downtown was perfect—we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go! The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and we even got to meet their sweet chocolate lab, Winston. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

What a beautiful hidden gem. The grounds are so beautiful and peaceful you can hear the river running just prefect. The cabin is beautiful and warm and inviting. Lots of windows and very comfortable. The bathroom is huge and the shower is good. The front porch is great for coffee . Definitely worth a return trip. Easy to fine the drive is breathtaking. Enjoy this hidden gem.

Such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home! We loved the convenience to Downtown Lexington, and the home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and all the extras made it so wonderful. We loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and the views across the street. The host is very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Erin’s place was absolutely excellent for our stay. It was a perfect place to setup for remote work while our son attended at camp at VMI. The town is absolutely amazing with great restaurants everywhere. This place is a definite recommend!

Wonderful place to stay in Lexington! Everything is extremely walkable. The kitchen is definitely a full kitchen with all the amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable. Absolutely love the place and really enjoyed being there for my daughter’s graduation from law school!

Beth was a great host and her home is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. We felt right at home the moment we stepped through the door. The drive to Lynchburg was easy and the views of the mountains were wonderful. We definitely hope to be back soon. Thank you Beth!

Stayed in The Hay Loft with my husband and 3 small children (4,3&1) for 3 weeks while relocating to the area from Texas. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to live a mostly normal life during transition! The home and property are well thought out & are equipped with anything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes, plenteous toiletries in the bathroom, towels aplenty, and laundry essentials at your disposal. The host is very responsive, friendly, and helpful when anything out of the ordinary does come up. There can be some road noise at all hours, but it didn’t disrupt any of us ever. Perhaps if you’re a very light sleeper, it might. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, homey stay in the Lexington area. Takes 5-15 minutes max to drive anywhere in town. And lastly, the sunsets really are beautiful with the hills and mountains on the horizon. Just splendid.
