Holiday rentals with a patio in Rockbridge County

This is a nice historic find, a walk away from Southern Virginia University campus. It feels very safe, since it is next to the police station. It is also near the train tracks. Everything is as described and very clean -- bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Check in/out is easy.

The host was very friendly and very helpful with anything that was needed. the house had beautiful views and the apartment had lots of available kitchen appliances. With 6 cats on the property it is a perfect place for cat lovers!

Well first bathroom the door something wrong with the lock cause I was locked inside for 15min trying to open it but other than that everything is beautiful and I love it

Melanie's home was clean and inviting. It was surprisingly charming considering it is a basement apartment. We loved the swings outside and the spacious indoor space. The bedroom is comfortable and welcoming and everything was very clean and tidy. Melanie was a delightful host. She answered all of our questions in a very timely manner and provicded clear instructions. We would gladly stay here again! Very nice stay!

Such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home! We loved the convenience to Downtown Lexington, and the home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and all the extras made it so wonderful. We loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and the views across the street. The host is very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Erin’s place was absolutely excellent for our stay. It was a perfect place to setup for remote work while our son attended at camp at VMI. The town is absolutely amazing with great restaurants everywhere. This place is a definite recommend!

We loved this cute place! I’ve never stayed in a communal area like this but it was so fun to get to know the other people staying there. We would definitely stay there again, & only wish we had more time there! Beds were ok, linens were plentiful & lovely, bring earplugs because it’s right by a main thoroughfare, but that makes it super easy to find & get around. The bathrooms were well-stocked, & we loved that the laundry was full-size. Darling place!

Stayed in The Hay Loft with my husband and 3 small children (4,3&1) for 3 weeks while relocating to the area from Texas. We felt right at home and had everything we needed to live a mostly normal life during transition! The home and property are well thought out & are equipped with anything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dishes, plenteous toiletries in the bathroom, towels aplenty, and laundry essentials at your disposal. The host is very responsive, friendly, and helpful when anything out of the ordinary does come up. There can be some road noise at all hours, but it didn’t disrupt any of us ever. Perhaps if you’re a very light sleeper, it might. We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, homey stay in the Lexington area. Takes 5-15 minutes max to drive anywhere in town. And lastly, the sunsets really are beautiful with the hills and mountains on the horizon. Just splendid.

Ashley and John were superior hosts and their cabin was exactly what we expected as our family celebrated a college graduation in Lexington, about 25 minutes away. Cozy and thoughtfully-appointed, their home was super clean it served our ends ideally, including cooking some steaks on the grill outside! The TV enabled us to check in on playpff basketball too. All in all a great stay! Thanks guys.

Martha's house is just like the pictures! Immaculately clean, artistic, quirky, and full of personality. Spectacular views. Less than 10 min. to W&L and the heart of Lexington. Martha is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and absolutely communicates well. We arrived late at night, and the keypad checkin was a breeze. Highly, highly recommend!

What an outstanding experience. There were four of us and the drive to the house was beyond "Virginia quaint" and so beautiful. The Blue Ridge was viewable from many vantage points at the house. The bedrooms were large and beautifully furnished. Kitchen was huge with all the equipment and table settings you could ask for. The enclosed porch allowed us to revisit childhood with the animal neighbors that wandered through. The feel of the house when you walked in was, "welcome, kick your shoes off and stay a while". Our host was pro-active in reaching out to us. Gave us a great recommendation for pizza/pasta/fun nearby and she was all around great to work with. We already have plans for our next visit!

Photos can never truly do a place justice—so as stunning as it looks in the pictures, it’s even more breathtaking in person. We needed a spot that could comfortably accommodate six people for my son’s graduation from VMI, and this home was perfect. We brought an air mattress and gave the cozy little alcove room near the main level bathroom to our elderly guest. The upstairs guests sharing the “communal potty” located in the primary bedroom led to plenty of laughs and memories—stories we’ll be telling for years to come! Victoria was wonderfully gracious with the checkout time, as no one was checking in right after us. We’re incredibly grateful for such thoughtful and accommodating hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat away from town to catch up with out-of-town family over coffee in the morning or wine on the deck in the evening, this is absolutely the perfect place to book.

The house was even better than expected. This is a big, beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful area. Plenty of room for a large family. 4 large bedrooms, 4 full baths, and great family spaces. House was very clean and had everything we needed. Kate was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this home!!

Our stay at Manor House was very relaxing and enjoyable. We loved the mountain views and beautiful landscapes of the property. My grandchildren enjoyed fishing in the pond and visiting the peacock and chickens. They totally wore themselves out hiking, swinging and running about. The house was very spacious and comfortable with all accommodations true as listed. We plan on returning in the future. Thank you for sharing this historic paradise!

This was a perfect place to stop and rest/explore on a long road trip. The home was beautiful inside and out. The beds and furniture were all clean and comfortable. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, even flashlights and emergency basket for when we arrived and the power was out. Our host was extremely responsive amidst the power outage (something you don’t plan for or experience often for airbnbs!) but all worked out. It was perfect for our family with small kids. We loved sitting on the porch and looking for deer and other wildlife. Would 100% recommend staying here, and hope we can visit again sometime!
