Restaurants, Cafés und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar. Ein kostenfreier Parkplatz für kleinere PKW (recht eng, bis Größe VW Golf) ist direkt vor der Hauseingangstür. Größere Autos können kostenfrei auf einigen Parkplätzen in der Altstadt parken. Die Bäderbahn fährt unweit der Wohnung auf die Insel Usedom, ebenso Busverbindungen.

Von hier aus lassen sich Wanderungen, Boots-, Paddel-, oder Fahrradtouren in die wilde Natur des Peeneurstromtales und der Wikingersiedlung "Altes Lager Menzlin" unternehmen. Zur Ostseeinsel Usedom und dem Strand sind es 30 km. Anklam und Greifswald sind die nächsten Städte und einen Besuch wert.

Die Wohnung ist direkt am Peenemünder Hafen auf Usedom. Zum Ostsee-Strand sind es 10 min mit dem Auto. Aber auch in Peenemünde gibt es auf der Halbinsel die Peenestrom-Badestelle.
