  • This is a spacious home, lovely feeling about the place. The two bathrooms was an added benefit with seven of us staying here. The parking could be a problem but there is a parking space at the back of the house which was useful especially as we had two cars.

Would recommend you find how to park behind the house as very hard to find parking in the evening. House is over 3 floors with large extended living area on ground floor. • Jasmine cottage is situated in a quiet but central area of a lovely Devon village. We found the cottage in a converted barn warm and welcoming on arrival. Very well designed layout with an open plan living dining kitchen area and 2 ensuite bedrooms arranged on each side. The cottage was spotless, beds comfortable and linens and towels high quality. Lovely walks around the village and Church inn does an amazing Sunday roast. Really recommend its location.

  • The cottage was a great place for relaxing at February half term and exploring Paignton and Brixham. Just enough for us 2 adults and 11 year old and 2 bathrooms was a luxury. Shower was great and whole house was warm and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped and we had breakfast at home. 2 pubs within walking distance. Good choice of board games our son enjoyed. Internet connection was good. I’m sure in the summer with more crowd the narrow roads could be a problem. Also parking is tight so smaller car would be better. Would recommend Rockfish in Brixham for seafood. All in all it was a great experience

Spacious rooms in magnificent listed Georgian mansion - one of the most beautiful and oldest houses in Torquay. With up-to 5 rooms available it's ideal for families and groups of friends. Every room is large and bright. There's plenty of parking along with the peace and quiet of a secluded, totally private location.
On the 2nd floor are three double bedrooms, a huge sitting/dining room (with sofa bed), a shower room and a snug with microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. On the floor below there is a spectacular double with private modern shower/wet room and access to a shared bathroom. With sea views from both of the double bedrooms and the sitting room on the second floor, we think you'll find these one of the nicest AirBnBs you'll have stayed in. If you choose to book the 3 rooms on the 2nd floor then you will have exclusive use of the shower room, snug (with microwave, fridge kettle and toaster) and massive sitting room; it's basically a three bedroomed apartment accessed through the main house. If you are booking for 9 or 10 people please be aware that one/two of these will need to use the sofa bed in the 2nd floor sitting room (or we can add a single bed to one of the double bedrooms).
Ideally situated for the Riviera International Centre, International Agatha Christie Festival, Torquay beach, the Princess theatre and Torquay station - all are a short walk away. The Chelston part of Torquay is a leafy suburb with lots of fine Victorian villas and the seafront is but a 10 minute walk. The award winning Cockington Court and historic Torre Abbey are both within easy walking distance.

Mark was very prompt at communicating with me and he allowed us to check out a bit later which was much appreciated as leaving the house with 7 children is never easy! Thank you!

If you have small children there are lots of games and toys for them to play with and we also took full advantage of the table tennis and dart board to keep us entertained . Jules even allowed us to check out later which was fantastic . Thanks Jules , I will have no hesitation in recommending your place to friends and family and feel sure that we will be back again sometime .

  • Jules is a great host who made us feel really welcome from the start. We hired her house for the weekend to celebrate my 40th birthday. With three families and a dog, there were certainly lots of us, but enough space that it didn't feel crowded. Much bigger than pictures suggest! Little touches like birthday banners, balloons and a treat basket for dog, went a long way. The kitchen is also well stocked with herbs, tea bags, sugar etc. Hot tub was a great treat too! All round, a fab weekend.

  • My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at Little Langford for his birthday. It was absolutely fantastic! We were offered a delicious cream tea on Saturday and the breakfast/brunch on Sunday was simply amazing - fresh croissants, pains au chocolat, cheese and meat. The hut was sparkling clean, and Abby and Rory provided all the essentials you could need - cereals, milk, butter, honey, coffee, tea... and in the bathroom we were delighted to find a selection of shower gels and body lotions. There's even cards and a Scrabble for rainy days! It was great to feed their piglets and spend time by the fire or in the hot tub, with great views and privacy. Abby and Rory are great hosts and we felt very welcomed!

  • Thanks to Abby and Rory, we had a fantastic weekend in a snug, clean, cosy and very well kitted out Shepard’s Hut! Abby and Rory were such great hosts, cream teas were delicious as well as the breakfast! The hut is kitted right out and every little detail has even thought of. The hut is sat in an awesome location with great views that can be enjoyed from the hot tub! Lovely little village with friendly locals, great walks and cracking pub! We loved meeting the goats, feeding the pigs pears and Rhubarb getting over excited whenever she saw Poppy! Thanks again guys, we will definitely be back! Love Mollie and Joe x

  • We booked a night in Torquay for a weekend break. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was very easy to find free parking on the road immediately outside the flat. Steve replied to last-minute requests (e.g., quick questions about early check in) rapidly. Check in was very straight forward and just as instructed (e.g., use of door codes and key boxes). The flat is beautiful and we would definitely stay again. The complex has a nice cliff garden with chairs for lounging in the sun. It also has great access to a path that allows guests to walk down the cliff to the main part of Torquay. Immediately below the complex is a nice row of eateries or places to have a drink and easy access to the main beach. A little further along the road is the Torquay harbour and shops. A fantastic place to stay for a city break!

  • A fresh modern apartment with the most stunning views of Torre Abbey Sands and beyond...! We enjoyed a daily stroll down the cliff walk from the apartment to the Marina where there are some lovely restaraunts. Our favourites were the Pier Point and Rockfish as the food was amazing and they were excellent with children. The apartment was really clean and had some lovely finishing touches including some very snuggley throws to wrap round you while watching the boats come and go from the Marina and the sun set from the balcony. We used the sofa bed for our little ones which was very comfortable. The master bedroom has the most spectacular view to wake up to and the bed was also verycomfortable. The bathroom and kitchen are well equipt for a stay away. Steve was a great host and responded quickly - as did the house manager while we were there.

  • The Granary is a wonderful homely self contained place to stay. It has a great little kitchen area and comfortable living space. I slept well in the cosy, restful bedroom. There was a great selection of breakfast foods including cereal, bacon, tomatoes, milk, lots of fresh eggs (laid by Linda and Tim’s chickens) and bread. I couldn’t have met two more kind, lovely people, and their friends and neighbours, who have helped me, following get my car stuck down a lane!. I am very grateful for the generosity and kindness I have been shown this week. It is a fab place to spend time away from the hubbub of daily living (the phone signal and WiFi isn’t too great) and take a proper break. Rest and enjoy the beautiful country side. Thank you Tim, Linda and your your wonderful neighbours.

  • The Jones’ were so hospitable - catering to our vegetarian diet for breakfast (and lack of preparation). The granary cottage was beautiful, cosy and clean. They even gave us a lift to the train station in the morning - despite all the b***** pot holes!! Will definitely be returning :).

  • Tim and Linda's flat was absolutely perfect. It was comfy, warm and cosy with so many little extras that we weren't expecting. We were severly delayed checking in due to storm Dennis and Tim was still friendly and welcoming at 10.30pm. Giving us a full show around the flat and making sure we were settled in. They provide everything you could possibly need and a great range of food for breakfast, including eggs from their chickens! Fab stay!

  • This is a great local experience. The location is very rural, set down country roads. The little apartment is quaint and clean. The host supplied ingredients for breakfast, including eggs from their own chickens. Highly recommended.

  • Andy's Place is a home from home. I was relaxed, welcomed and I did not want to leave. Spotlessly clean with two amazingly kind hosts who made me more than welcome. I would highly recommend Andy's place and will be returning when I'm back in the area. Thank you

  • I’ve been using Airbnb for several years now and never had a bad experience. However, occasionally you have something that’s just beyond what you expect. It’s been like staying with friends. This is the second time I have stayed with a gay married couple. I have remained friends with the couple in Kettering & equally stay friends with Andy & Simon without a shadow of a doubt. I have been made to feel So welcome. If your in Torquay and need a place to just outside Barton stay here. You will be most welcome.

  • My friends and I had an amazing stay at Jenny’s house. Wish we could stay longer than one night! Jenny and Derek were friendly and welcoming. The house was lovely and decorated beautifully for Christmas. There’s a nice fireplace and a television with lots of movies to watch in the living room. We had a long trip to go so we requested very early breakfast, but Jenny still had it ready for us...Thank you so much! Dogs were cute and not disturbing at all. The house is located in a peaceful village with a wonderful view and not far from Torquay. Would love to come again!

  • Louise was a friendly and brilliant host. I arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning and was looked after much better than I was expecting for a quick stop over. The room has lots of lovely touches - tea, mini toiletries etc and was sparkly clean. I had access to my own bathroom which I was able to have a bubble bath in with lovely toiletries provided - amazing after a long day. Louise even whipped up delicious avacado and eggs in the morning before I set off. I couldn't recommend more highly. It turns out Louise is a reflexology practitioner - revealed by the associated books on the room's book shelves. I was gutted I wasn't staying long enough to see if she could squeeze me in!

Thank you, Louise, for the kindness of giving supper when I arrived late and could not find a nearby place to eat at as it was Sunday night. The cooked English breakfast was delicious. Offering a selection of Continental and Cooked breakfasts was also very kind and considerate of the host. Thank you.

  • What a gorgeous view!! Our family really enjoyed our few days in Torquay and this beautiful flat was in a perfect location for our stay. We were on foot and the hills gave us quite a workout, but we had plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. the Rock Walk was a great, scenic short cut, but we wish we found it sooner. If we return to Torquay, I plan to stay at Astor House again.

  • This was a beautiful seaside location. We were lucky with weather & so we’re able to enjoy the stunning coastal views in bright sunshine over a sparkling sea. It was really easy to get down to the beach & to local tourist attractions & places to eat. The apartment was stylish & clean & was well equipped & had everything we needed. We would definitely return. It’s even nicer than the photos show.

  • Sharon's home is perfect for a stopover in the area. Newton Abbott town centre is an easy 5 - 10 minute drive from her home. Sharon and Kevin are wonderful hosts and their home is spotlessly clean. The offer of a continental breakfast in the morning is a lovely touch. Overall a perfect night's stopover.

  • Excellent hospitality and condition. Ideal for somewhere to lay your head at night. Everywhere was clean and organised and we felt so welcome when we first arrived and throughout our stay. I’d recommend driving if you are looking to stay here however there are bus routes about 10 minutes walk that will take you to the local towns . Overall I’d highly recommend this stay to both friends and family and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

  • Amazing B&B in a great location. Clean spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast and was easy to contact. Will be staying again. 😊

  • Jenny and Derek were incredibly hospitable, welcoming us into their beautiful home. We had a lovely spacious bedroom, a large bathroom, and a cosy lounge to use when we wanted as well. The cooked breakfasts were delicious, as well as the lovely home-made jams and marmalade. There is also plenty of off-road parking. We would highly recommend this B&B and hope to be back again in the not-too-distant future.

Beautiful romantic dual aspect living space located in the heart of Devonshire countryside near a Golf course, 3 towns including Torquay and Totnes within ten minutes drive for something more metropolitan or two villages with Pubs and amenities a 25-30min walk away. Panoramic views of fields and moorland can be enjoyed from the comfort of your room or the large garden full of wildlife and flowers. Guests left largely to their own devices but advice and local information is always available.
Two rooms are available one a suite with a king size double bed dressing room and bathroom the other a king size double bed that can be converted to two singles
There is a lovely Golf course, 2 or 3 good Pubs and a nice coffee shop in the nearest Village. The beautiful South Devon coast is a short drive away.
  • Great value place probably better than most boutique hotels. A real gem. Hosts we’re both helpful and also left us to our own devices. A must stay

  • Another wonderful night sleep in this lovely rural location.

  • We very much enjoyed staying at at Jackie and Graham’s lovely house. They were welcoming and friendly, and our accommodation was really nice. We had a spacious and beautifully decorated bedroom area and en-suite bathroom, and the shower was particularly good as well. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up out of! The views from the windows were just lovely, including a garden full of birds- several that you’d expect to recognise, but then others such as 20 or so goldfinches. Waking in the morning I felt I wanted to stay for ever! The garden itself was a magical space and we would have liked to have been there longer so we could have spent more time in it.

  • What a great place to stay, Jackie is a great host, her place is beautifully finished and the views are beautiful.

  • Having stayed here before I was delighted that the comfiness of the bed, the warm welcome and lovely room were as consistent and excellent as I remember! I'll be back!

  • Me and my girlfriend needed a quick stop in Devon and this room provided the perfect space. The bed is one of the comfiest we've slept in and the selections of tea were a really nice touch. Shame we couldn't stay for another night!
