We had a very nice one-night stay at Melanie and Paul's. They were friendly and provided good communication about schedules, directions and what the surrounding area had to offer. Their home is quiet and in a beautiful setting, and we enjoyed walking to a nearby lake the next morning. They provided a simple breakfast and the guest room is neat and clean, with good bedding and a private bath right off the bedroom. Theirs is a nice secluded spot on the way to Cooperstown or the Hudson Valley.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Melanie, Paul and Gregory, and only wish that I had time to stay longer! The property and house itself were lovely, and just as described. I was warmly welcomed, and they even provided me with very thorough driving directions, which was very helpful since I was coming from Canada. There were a lot of sweet little touches in the room, like extra supplies of toothbrush, soap, etc, just in case you forgot. There was a welcome letter for guests that supplied all the info you needed, which made things really comfortable and easy. It was really welcoming, peaceful, and a soothing stopover for me. I will definitely go back if I have a chance to pass through again.

Our hosts Melanie, Paul and Gregory were friendly, polite and accommodating to a fault. The private room and house and land description was not only accurate but exceeded our expectations. Instructions for tenants were detailed and sensible. Our hosts were generous regarding which rooms we were allowed to use. We especially enjoyed the grounds and the great room on the side of the house. Cats were sweet and charming. I would highly recommend staying here. My only wish is that a return visit might be extended by a night or two.

Paul met me upon my arrival. The house and wilderness setting were very beautiful and peaceful, including the great room and wrap around porch. Melanie and Paul offered restaurant, shopping and hiking information. They quietly went about their routines and allowed me privacy. Paul helped me load and unload my car.

Our stay at Noreen's was wonderful! Her home is lovely--peaceful, relaxing, & impeccably clean. It's set back from a quiet road, with lots of flowers & plantings. Noreen was terrific: warm, easy-going, helpful, and friendly, while still giving you plenty of space. Breakfast was do-it-yourself, with lots of yummy and healthy options to choose from. Noreen left us a number of other thoughtful touches as well that were above and beyond. Her dog, Sullivan (a Goldendoodle), was fun. He loved getting attention from guests, but he was calm and not in your face about it...a real sweetheart. If you get the chance to stay with Noreen, don't pass it up. She's a gem! This is one of the best Airbnb's I've stayed in.

Mina welcomed me on arrival, gave me a key and showed me to my room and the adjacent bathroom. All these facilities were just fine in a nicely kept house. I also met her elderly pug who she kept in a separate room until we all realized I am a dog person and enjoyed the dog, too. I came and went as I please, had some great French Press coffee in the morning with fruit salad and yogurt. Filled my water bottle with her cooled, bottled water. Slept soundly and awoke refreshed. A great location for the Altamont Fairgrounds. I'll be back next year.

I enjoyed my stay with Mina. I stayed here for 4 weeks and everything is as advertised. She keeps a clean home and a warm-spirit. She was quick to remedy any concerns and I would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area!

Mina made a weekend I had looked forward to for over a year even better than I was expecting! I'd asked to stay in Schenectady because I was attending a weekend-long series of concerts by Phish and so I was expecting a quiet, nice place to stay after exploring the area and enjoying the shows. Mina met those expectations and more! Her house is gorgeous and the area is beautiful. I was surprised and delighted by her hospitality and looked forward to talking with her every morning as Frodo, her dog, eyed our breakfast and begged for treats. Mina is a perfect host, great conversationalist, and shining person. She made a trip that was already highly anticipated into something unforgettable.

My second stay with Mina for the same annual event a 10-12 minute drive from her home. I had a fine stay with all facilities at hand and fresh coffee and seasonal fruit, yogurt and hard-boiled eggs for breakfast. Easy parking in her driveway and weekend traffic on her street is light so backing into the street worked just fine. I'll be back next year.

Noreen and her lovely home are both fantastic. My friend and I came to Altamont to attend a wedding at Indian Ladder Farms (it's just a quick 15 minute walk from the house to the venue). We had such an amazing time and felt so welcome in her home. We especially loved the pool, meeting Sullivan her dog, and the breakfast she prepared for us. The hospitality was superb, we'd love to come back some time in the winter too :)

Just as advertised. Quiet and comfy. Frida the dog made herself right at home on my bed for most of the day while I was watching some Netflix, and it was just fine with me. She was a cutie. I was waiting out a New England snow storm before proceeding home. JoAnn was most accommodating, as I wanted to escape a dreadful hotel the night before. It was appreciated.

Aaron's place was great, he made us feel so comfortable. The view from the pool was amazing and me and my group couldn't get enough of it. There was 4 of us staying in the home and we all slept comfortably. The house was spotless and gave us a homey feeling. Albany is about 15-20 m away and we found so much to do on a Friday night. We had a BBQ one night and Aaron and his adorable dog Rosie joined us. It was a pleasure chatting with him and getting to know him. I look forward to staying here again.

Everything was as wonderful as pictured and them some. It was a pleasure to stay in such a unique and special home. The inside is comfy and like nothing you've ever experienced. Outside is a nature paradise with mountains and water, birds,bugs, bunnies and chipmunks, everything you want, while hanging out next to a private pool in the serene setting, ample room to relax inside and out . Aaron was a great host and Rosie was a great hostess . A perfect getaway, yet still close enough to a grocery, ice cream stands and Indian ladder orchards

Staying at Aaron place was amazing! My girlfriends and I had such relaxing retreat. The views are amazing. Watching the sunset and sunrise each day truly renewed our spirits. The pool was wonderful and several of the ladies enjoyed the jacuzzi in the bathroom. The house itself is super cool with a vintage 70s/Asian feel to it. Aaron was a great host and made sure we had everything needed to have an enjoyable and relaxing stay at his home. I have already recommended his place to friends and family!

This place was AMAZING!! It looked good online, but it was AMAZING in person! It's a big house, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The huge patio was perfect for hanging out on, and Aaron was kind enough to let us use his grill. There were also plenty of lounge chairs to relax on out by the pool, or lay back and watch the stars at night. There's also a massive sectional couch and big flatscreen TV for watching a movie at night after a day in the pool. My friends and I drove up from NYC and it was an easy drive. Only a couple of hours away. Plus we checked out the Storm King Art Center which is right along the way. But by far the best part was the view of the mountains and the lake. To sum it up, it was a great trip, big house, super clean, +pool, terrific host, and I cannot leave out his super friendly Chihuahua Rosie! My friends and I already want to plan the next trip back! Thanks again Aaron!

This is one of the most unique and beautiful homes I've stayed at, and Aaron was a fantastic host. Communication was smooth and fluid,and he was very responsive to questions and requests. The house is really amazing - the view is wonderful. I want to visit during all seasons to see how it changes. The house has all the necessary amenities and truly, the pictures don't do it justice. Take what you see there- and multiply your happiness. Have coffee on the deck and admire the birds nesting and feeding. Watch out for the cute chipmunks who may run past you. Don't be sad if it rains - because you're in prime rainbow territory. We can't wait to come back.

Aaron's place is really something else. I was wondering if it would live up to the pictures and reviews, and it sure did!! We hung out with Aaron pretty late into the night, and he is quite a character--really had us laughing and enjoying some silly memories. Thanks for showing us a good time, Aaron!

Aaron's place was a really special find. Wonderfully spacious with an excellent view in a secluded, quiet neighborhood. The pool and hot tub outside were great for relaxing plus the lawn at the back had lots of space for games with the kids. Definitely a great place to stay if you're visiting the area.

I stayed for three weeks while attending training for GE. The location was perfect and I was much closer to the training facility than the guys who stayed in a hotel. It had everything that I needed and was also located close to restaurants and stores.
