Ardlogie Bothy is a traditional luxury timber built cabin designed with quality traditional tartan soft furnishings & themes, providing a good level of self catering facilities. The Bothy is positioned alongside the main Ardlogie Guest House and centrally located within Aviemore, yet in a quiet location close to all amenities. It is fully insulated and heated and provides all year round warm cosy accommodation for two (double bed, not twin). The Bothy has an open plan living/bedroom area with a double bed and flat screen digital TV, a kitchen area with cooker, fridge, microwave, etc and a separate shower room/WC. There is a small outside decking area with private seating area and an off road parking space right outside. Bothy guests are also free to use the outdoor shared jacuzzi hot-tub which is located in the Ardlogie rear gardens. Ardlogie Bothy is 'Wi-Fi' enabled. Good quality bedding and towels are also supplied. There is also secure outdoor storage for ski's, bikes etc as well as drying facilities. Discounts of 10-40% for stays of 4 nights and over when booking online.
The Bothy is centrally located within Aviemore which is the main tourist resort within the heart of the Cairngorms National Park but also acts as a good central location for visiting all area's of the Scottish Highlands & Islands
  • We had a brilliant weekend in the Ardlogie Bothy. We arrived late on Friday night in stormy weather and were greeted with a very thoughtful hamper. The Bothy is warm, beautifully decorated and perfectly located for exploring the area. Would strongly recommend!

  • Lovely little bothy in the perfect location in Aviemore. Very cosy with lovely decor. The kitchen has everything you need if you wanted to cook. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay, very easy to use, large and relaxing after a long days walk. The only downside was the Wifi which didn't really work the whole time we were there and was poor quality so we ended up having to hotspot our phones in order to watch movies on the TV. Other than that a great stay and we would highly recommend for anyone wanting a little getaway and place to relax.

  • Not a single fault can be made. Everything about the bothy was perfect, and exactly what we wanted. From little touches such as lovely eggs from their chickens, to allowing us to store our bag after checkout, Kevin and Kirsty could not do enough to make our stay amazing. The bothy itself comes with everything you could possibly hope for and more. The location is amazing (walk across the platform footbridge, trust me!) and the hot tub was a brilliant addition. Kevin was always available to help with things like taxis and buses, and suggestions of where to eat. Aviemore itself is stunning, but this cosy bothy made it difficult to want to leave. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay, and we look forward to coming back.

    The bungalow has modern fixtures, fittings and appliances and is situated in a safe family friendly holiday development. Although it is a one bedroom house it is spacious and light. The sofa bed in the lounge is suitable for 1 adult or 2 children.
    The bungalow is served by off peak electric storage heating. Hot water is heated overnight and there is a booster control for during the day. The kitchen has electric hob, integrated oven, microwave, freezer, fridge and washer dryer. There is a brick built barbecue and picnic bench in the enclosed rear garden. There is also a lock fast shed containing two mountain bikes (leisure standard) along with safety helmets. They are for the use of guests - no surcharge.
    Dalnabay borders the MacDonalds Dalfaber resort which has sport and leisure facilities, bar and restaurant. There is a swimming pool and golf facilities for which there is a charge. The Strathspeys steam railway is also nearby and the funicular railway runs from the chairlift centre up Cairngorm. It is a ten minute walk from Dalnabay into Aviemore town centre via the orbital path. There is also dog walking routes off this path.

Located on the 2nd floor of a quiet residential apartment block in central Aviemore, away from the main road, walking distance from the railway/bus stations/pubs & restaurants, with great views over to the mountains. There's a 47 inch smart TV with Netflix, and free & fast internet/wifi. It's good for couples, solo travellers, and families. Sleeps 4. For larger groups, you could combine it with Cairngorm Apartment Two, just downstairs!
    The apartment is functional and practical as a base for a family holiday or as an upmarket alternative for outdoor enthusiasts instead of staying at a youth hostel. Whilst the common area lobby is not particularly attractive, the apartment soon makes up for the rather dull entrance to the block.
    The apartment lounge window looks over to the lawned area of the McDonald Hotel, and it's not uncommon to see red squirrels in the trees opposite. The block itself contains 9 apartments, and is a quiet residential block away from the main road and sometimes noisy train line which runs next to Grampian Road. Of the 9 apartments; 2 are occupied full time, 2 are family part-time holiday homes, 3 are residential lets, and my 2 are holiday lets. There can be occasional noise from the road, if a noisy car goes by, but it's pretty quiet normally. Parking is in un-allocated off-road bays, but there's always room to park.

    The Retreat has a bright and modern lounge area with a quality leather sofa and luxury reclining leather armchair, AGA woodburning stove, LCD Digital TV, DVD and mini Hi-Fi system. Just off the well equipped kitchen is a small dining area. The comfortable and generous bedroom truly is a retreat at night with a king size double bed and ample solid wooden furniture. The large walk in shower room has sink, electric power shower and a separate WC room off. There is private on-site parking beside the Retreat. The Retreat is a non-smoking and pet free establishment.
    Superb for exploring the great outdoors, we are situated within the Cairngorm National Park with mountains, lochs, mountain bike trails and the large ski area all on you doorstep.

    Located in a quiet residential street within a few minutes walk to the nearest supermarket, shops and restaurants and approximately 10 minutes to the bus stop and train station, . There is parking on the street just outside the house. Please note there are NO COOKING FACILITIES and BREAKFAST IS NOT PROVIDED.
    Bright spacious bedroom with superkingsize bed and en suite shower room. Accommodation is on first floor with views towards the Cairngorm mountains. You have own private large sitting room with free Wifi, TV, fridge with fresh milk, tea and coffee making facilities . Secure storage for bikes, skis etc.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Margaret's. There's plenty of room, the lounge is large and so is the bed !! (which was great and very comfortable) The bathroom is modern and the shower is very powerful which we both really enjoyed. It was very quiet, inside the accommodation and also the surrounding area and with the house being centrally located pretty much anything in Aviemore is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend Margaret's place for a stay in Aviemore.

    Calluna Cottage is a bright, modern semi-detached self catering cottage situated in a quiet no-through road very close to the centre of Aviemore. There is 1 bedroom with king sized bed and 1 bathroom, sleeping up to 2 adults & 2 children, with a king size sofa bed in the living room. There is a fully enclosed garden, secure storage shed, BBQ & incredible views! Calluna Cottage is also dog friendly.
    Calluna Cottage is a bright, modern semi-detached self catering cottage situated in a quiet no-through road very close to the centre of Aviemore. There is 1 bedroom with king sized bed and 1 bathroom, sleeping up to 2 adults & 2 children (king size sofa bed in living room). There is a family bathroom with shower over bath. Heated towel rail in bathroom. The cottage is beautifully presented, with all the modern comforts you need for an easy self catering holiday in Aviemore. There is a sitting / dining room, a modern well-equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher & washer/dryer, and one good-sized bedroom. It has garden to the rear with amazing view to Cairngorm Mountain, secure storage shed, BBQ and picnic table and chairs.
    Calluna Cottage is situated in a very quiet area and in a small cul-de-sac so no passing traffic. It is extremely safe and ideal for families. Only a very short walk into Aviemore village along a footpath or a 5 minute drive. From the cottage, there are wonderful views of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. Also, from the door, you can explore the area by bike or by foot and within a short distance are in the beautiful wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage is also located on the Speyside Way, one of Scotland's 4 main long distance routes. Aviemore village is a small, friendly town with a good variety of cafés, bars, eateries and shops. Stores providing outdoor equipment and equipment hire are readily available. There is also a swimming pool, indoor play area, & cinema for indoor activities. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the region and the championship Spey Valley Golf Course is only a short walk away. Further afield there are many places to explore, but you will find plenty of activities for all ages and abilities from the doorstep.

The sunsets and sunrises were stunning in the backyard overlooking the mountains. The cottage overlooks several other similar properties in the front. Aviemore is a quaint little community with a grocery store and some restaurants/bars and shops. Hiking trails close by as well.

  • My Spouse and I are Canadian (Montreal). This was our first trip to Scotland and we wanted to spend some time exploring Caingorms National Park. After a lengthy research and looking at many potential listings, we both decided to situate ourselves in Aviemore and we agreed on the Calluna Cottage owned by Julia and Alexander.  The house was beautiful and spotless, the amenities had been ingeniously organized to fit the space and the location was fabulous and really quiet. The backyard had an incredible view: cows roaming around a gigantic field (which made me laugh and relax every day) and a mountain-filled landscape. We had a wonderful time, the owners were kind enough to leave a bottle of wine and cookies, a really nice welcoming gesture.

  • A fantastic cottage on the edge of Aviemore, and still so easy to get into the centre with a short walk. The best thing about this cottage is the view - a stunning, changing view of the Cairngorms and wildlife, like rabbits, deer and pheasants in the back field. The cottage was very clean and really comfortable - bed and pillows were just right. Shower was good too. It had everything needed in the kitchen and the co-op supermarket is really close to stock up. Julia was really quick to respond to any queries. So easy to get out and enjoy all that the area has to offer - we did loads of long tough hikes and a couple of easier walks and there is loads to do around Aviemore. We'd love to go back to Calluna - thank you for having us.

The location of the property is ideal for hill walking and snow sports in the Cairngorms, Loch Morlich water sports, quad biking around Rothiemurchus Estate, pony trekking, and clay pigeon shooting are all on hand for those seeking an active holiday. For a more leisurely getaway there are a number of activities which include osprey watching at Loch Garten, experiencing the Speyside Steam Railway, exploring the Whisky trails, visiting the Landmark forest theme park in Carrbridge, or the Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig.   • On arrival flat had obviously been recently cleaned and was fresh. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment/utensils/crockery. Extras in kitchen like washing machine and large freezer came in handy. Flat was warm and beds were comfy. Location is excellent with easy walking distance to everything in the town, our 4 year old was happy to walk everywhere. Log burner is great in the evening, easy to use and toasty, we had to turn heating off. Would happily use flat again.

  • We stayed 3 nights over New Year 2019 at Lili’s wee B&B and had an amazing time. Lili cooked us a delicious breakfast every morning and catered superbly for my gluten intolerance. Her two wee dogs are great company and made the stay even more enjoyable :) The room was great, the bed very comfortable and the superb power shower in the bathroom was a welcome change to my experience of the usual ‘trickle’ showers elsewhere in the UK.   • Good location. Close to the centre and right beside a nice restaurant/bar. Perfectly clean. Has a nice wee balcony to sit out on. The downstairs bedroom is pretty small with 2 single beds forming a sort of L shape. The other is a double, up a spiral staircase. Really comfy bed upstairs. Was lovely to wake up to the sounds of birds. The train track is pretty close so trains sound pretty loud when they go past. This didn’t bother us, but just something to bear in mind if this is something that might bother you. Trains aren’t very frequent though.

Aviemore town and shops are a 10 min stroll down a lovely quiet lane, banked by views of the mountains and the Strathspey Steam Railway. The railway runs close to the bottom of the garden and is perfect for children (and adults !) to wave at the driver. Pet friendly.

There is a family bathroom with shower over bath. Heated towel rails in each bathroom. The cottage is beautifully presented, with all the modern comforts you need for an easy self catering holiday in Aviemore. There is a large lounge / dining room, a modern well-equipped kitchen with fridge, dishwasher & washer/dryer, and two good-sized bedrooms. It has an attractive, secluded garden to the rear with purpose built BBQ and picnic table and chairs. There is also a secure shed for outdoor equipment storage.
    Blaeberry Cottage is situated in a very quiet area and in a small cul-de-sac so no passing traffic. It is extremely safe and ideal for families. Only a very short walk into Aviemore village along a footpath or a 5 minute drive. From outside the cottage, there are wonderful views of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. Also, from the door, you can explore the area by bike or by foot and within a short distance are in the beautiful wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage is also located on the Speyside Way, one of Scotland's 4 main long distance routes. Aviemore village is a small, friendly town with a good variety of cafés, bars, eateries and shops. Stores providing outdoor equipment and equipment hire are readily available. There is also a swimming pool, indoor play area, & cinema for indoor activities. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the region and the championship Spey Valley Golf Course is only a short walk away. Further afield there are many places to explore, but you will find plenty of activities for all ages and abilities from the doorstep.

The private outdoor area at the back with garden chairs, games and a bbq was excellent in the warm weather we were fortunate enough to have during our stay.     The guest bedroom which is on the ground floor, has a double bed and it's own compact wc, whb and shower. Guests can help themselves to tea or coffee or chilled water and ice in the kitchen. A key is provided for the guest room to allow you your own space. I am sorry the room is not big enough to take a cot or an extra bed so bookings for more than 2 people cannot be accepted.
    Craig-na-Gower Avenue is a quiet residential street which runs parallel with the main road in the town. It is only a few minutes walk to the nearby restaurants and bars (but might seem longer on the way back!!)

There’s a lake just across the bunkhouse and there are seating areas. You can chat and have some snacks there while enjoying the view. The location is also nearby to the entrance of the national park if you want to explore it. What a great place overall! More fitting for all adults group with no kids. As you’re staying with other people using rooms beside you and you can’t really make too much noise. Kitchen is downstairs and there’s basic tea, coffee, sugar, salt and oil with complete cooking equipments. Good for short trip! Cleanliness can be improved for the furnitures inside the room! Beds and bathroom are alright and clean.

The apartment block has 6 apartments, all the other residents are permanent and have lived here for a long time. It is a quiet apartment block. Inside this apartment is a cool blend of modern and quirky style with cosy home comforts. Red Squirrels lounge is a great relaxation space. After an active day you can comfortably spend a whole evening here, curled up on one of two large cloth sofas. Maybe indulge in a Netflix movie or two – or with a dram or two if you prefer! Off the entrance hall are two bedrooms, a twin and a double both with built-in mirror wardrobes and cosy inviting beds all have memory foam mattresses to sink into. Bath for you to sink into after a long day out walking on the hills. Off the lounge there is a modern kitchen with electric hob and single fan oven, toaster, microwave, washer, all crockery and utensils are here. Aviemore really is the buzzing centre of the Cairngorms natural outdoor playground, with shops, bars, cafes and restaurants all within easy walking distance of Red Squirrel apartment. Aviemore famously sports many big name outdoor shops and brands, from budget options to high end clothing and equipment, and the knowledge and expertise to go with it. Many of its pubs and bars host live music in the evenings, both during the week and the weekend, from local, traditional Scottish folk and ceilidh bands, to eclectic musicians from all over the globe. The apartment is on Grampian Road and is not overlooked by any other houses or premises it faces the railway line and sometimes the Royal Scotsman passes slowly by. it can be busy during the day but very quiet in the evenings. There is ample free parking to the rear and front of apartment block. STRICTLY NO SMOKING allowed in the apartment or surrounding apartment grounds
    The apartment is on the south side of Aviemore in a quiet location. Adjacent to the accommodation is a large green space where you can picnic and children can play. Red squirrels live in the habitat and can be seen sometimes scampering in the trees. The apartment is in a small block of 6 apartments in a 2 storey building. The other residents in the apartment block are permanent residents of Aviemore and it is a quiet and tranquil apartment block. There is plenty of free parking in parking bays next to the apartment block. If you have any issues whilst staying I can be contacted anytime of day as I live in the village.   • We had a great stay at the bunkhouse. It’s a great location - 5 mins walk from the station, next to a pretty river and of course the pub! We stayed in a family room which was small but comfortable. The shower was great and the room was cosy. I would definitely stay here again.

    Lurchers Cabin is a cosy wooden chalet which accommodates up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms. There is parking for 2 cars outside. It is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Aviemore and from the bus and train station. The Cairngorm mountains are on your doorstep and the entire area is an outdoor lovers paradise. We are 10 minutes drive from the main Cairngorm ski area. Aviemore is a buzzing village with numerous bars, cafes and restaurants and also many shops catering for all outdoor pursuits.
    Self catering log cabin which sleeps 4 in 1 double and 1 twin room. There is also a living room and dining area, shower room and galley kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. It is all on the ground floor level except there are 3 steps up to the front door. There is a television and dvd player in the living room and sky tv free channels. Parking is available just outside for two cars.
    Aviemore, which is within the Badenoch & Strathspey region, really does have something for everyone. Despite being easily reached from the north or south by road or rail, the area gives one a true feel for the wilderness and spectacular scenery that the Highlands are so well known for. The Caingorm Mountains, which lie within the recently established Cairngorm National Park dominate the area and are the setting for a huge range of outdoor activities.

  • We stayed at the lodge for a weekend whilst visiting Aviemore and had a very pleasant stay. We did have a bit of an issue when we first arrived with the heating not working, which turned out to be due to the boiler having depressurised. However Christine responded very quickly, was very friendly and got the problem resolved. The lodge itself is very modern and cosy and sits in self contained holiday park filled with other lodges. Onsite there is a pub which is very chilled out and has reasonably priced drinks. 5 minutes down the road is the Old Bridge Inn, which serves some very good food and the town centre is also no more than a 10 minute walk away. Whilst we were there we went hiking around Loch Morlich and Cairngorm mountain, which is around a 10 minute drive and had a great time. Would definitely recommend. Thanks!

    Munro Cottage is a traditional Victorian cottage. Although extensively modernised it retains much of its traditional character. Heating is provided by storage heaters in living room and hallway and electric panel heaters in bedrooms. There is an open coal fire. All heating including coal is provided in the price. There is double glazing throughout. WiFi is provided . There is a 32" TV, DVD and VCR in the living room and a second TV, DVD and VCR in the double bedroom.
    The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, microwave, oven and hob, fridge, toaster, coffee making machine .
    The Cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac. There are shops, pubs and coffee shops within walking distance.

The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering, the bookshelf is well stocked, there are local maps, board games, the list goes on. So whether you are having a quiet time in, or getting out and about, this is an ideal place to stay. AND it is only 10 minutes walk into Aviemore, with a beautiful footpath running above the river. It is the ultimate place to relax after a day exploring the surrounding area, situated in a quiet no-through road close to the centre of Aviemore. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 4. There is a bedroom with twin beds and a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Both bathrooms are newly refurbished with underfloor heating & heated towel rails. The cottage is beautifully presented, with all the modern comforts you need for an easy self catering holiday in Aviemore. There is a large lounge / dining room, a modern well-equipped kitchen with large fridge/freezer, dishwasher & washer/dryer, and two good-sized bedrooms. It has an attractive, secluded garden to the rear with purpose built BBQ and picnic table and chairs. There is also a secure shed for outdoor equipment storage.
    Manuka Cottage is situated in a very quiet area and in a small cul-de-sac so no passing traffic. It is extremely safe and ideal for families. Only a very short walk into Aviemore village along a footpath or a 5 minute drive. From outside the cottage, there are wonderful views of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. Also, from the door, you can explore the area by bike or by foot and within a short distance are in the beautiful wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage is also located on the Speyside Way, one of Scotland's 4 main long distance routes. Aviemore village is a small, friendly town with a good variety of cafés, bars, eateries and shops. Stores providing outdoor equipment and equipment hire are readily available. There is also a swimming pool, indoor play area, & cinema for indoor activities. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the region and the championship Spey Valley Golf Course is only a short walk away. Further afield there are many places to explore, but you will find plenty of activities for all ages and abilities from the doorstep.

  • Lovely place to stay. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely extra touches too. We loved the bottle of wine already chilled in the fridge when we arrived. Super clean and close to Aviemore centre where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Would highly recommend Manuka Cottage.

    Silver Birch Cottage is a cosy, beautifully presented semi-detached cottage tucked away in a quiet no-through road close to the centre of Aviemore. It is a perfect location for exploring this area - village centre is only 5 minutes walk along a footpath bordering the Strathspey steam railway on one side and fields on the other, with views of the Cairngorm Mountains. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 4. There is a fully enclosed garden, driveway parking & secure storage shed.
    Silver Birch Cottage is a cosy, modern and beautifully beautifully presented cottage tucked away in a quiet no-through road. The cottage backs on to woodland with the Strathspey Steam Railway beyond. It is the ultimate place to relax after a day exploring the surrounding area, a lovely quiet spot, yet only 5 mins walk to Aviemore town centre. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, sleeping up to 4. There is a bedroom with twin beds and a King sized double bedroom with a luxury ensuite shower room. TV/DVD player in each bedroom. There is a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The cottage is beautifully presented, with all the modern comforts you need for an easy self catering holiday in Aviemore. There is a large lounge / dining room with wood burner, a modern well-equipped kitchen, with breakfast bar, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher & washer/dryer, and two good-sized bedrooms. It has an attractive, secluded garden to the rear with purpose built BBQ and picnic table and chairs. The garden backs on to woodland and the Strathspey Steam Railway. There is also a secure shed for outdoor equipment storage.
    Silver Birch Cottage is situated in a very quiet area and in a small cul-de-sac so no passing traffic. It is extremely safe and ideal for families. Only a very short walk into Aviemore village along a footpath or a 5 minute drive. From outside the cottage, there are wonderful views of the Cairngorm Mountain Range. The cottage backs on to woodland and the Strathspey Steam Railway. Also, from the door, you can explore the area by bike or by foot and within a short distance are in the beautiful wilderness of the Cairngorms National Park. The cottage is also located on the Speyside Way, one of Scotland's 4 main long distance routes. Aviemore village is a small, friendly town with a good variety of cafés, bars, eateries and shops. Stores providing outdoor equipment and equipment hire are readily available. There is also a swimming pool, indoor play area, & cinema for indoor activities. There are a number of excellent golf courses in the region and the championship Spey Valley Golf Course is only a short walk away. Further afield there are many places to explore, but you will find plenty of activities for all ages and abilities from the doorstep.
  • Silver Birch is a well equipped, well located and well looked-after property. It affords direct access to the cycle paths and walking routes for which the area is renowned. A perfect base for an active holiday.

It's located in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to all things Aviemore. Appreciated having a dishwasher, two full bathrooms and a wood stove for chilly evenings. Highly recommended!

  • We absolutely loved this house I could move in tommorrow The strathspey railway runs right along the bottom of garden it’s gorgeous - beds so comfy bed linen top class towels so fluffy we loved everything about it when can we come back ? Walking distance to town down the back road.

  • This was a last minute booking for us as our previous accommodations were cancelled a week before arrival, and we couldn’t have been more pleased! What a lovely cottage, exactly as shown, if not better. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, some welcome goodies and amazing towels!!! The cottage was very quiet and in walking distance through a quaint footpath to the lovely town of Aviemore. Julia was a great host. She popped by to say hello and was very accessible via email.
