Places to stay in Bamford
Our lovely little cottage is about 200 years old. It's cosy and slap bang in the middle of some of the best scenery the UK has to offer. Excellent for walking, cycling or simply site seeing the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Castleton is such a pretty little town with it's own castle, 7 watering holes (all dog friendly) fabulous restaurants and delightful cafes. We are situated between Bakewell and Buxton. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT CHARGE FOR CLEANING YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY!
Our cottage is typical of the area, however, we have renovated it to a very high standard. You will have all the mod cons required these days with the feeling of living in a historical building. My back ground is tourism so I know what you want when staying away from home. This is a cosy little place and from the outside looks quite small, but inside the rooms are moderate in size, perfect for up to four people, 2-3 dogs depending on their size. The sleeping arrangements are 1 double bedroom and the second bedroom is classed as a small double with a queen size bed.
Our village is unique for the area as we have so much to do within walking distance. Caves to explore, hundreds of walks and cycle routes, pony trekking, pot holing, paragliding, hand gliding, fell running or sight seeing. All the pubs in the village are dog friendly. We are in the shadow of Mam Tor in an area known as the Dark Peaks. Our valley is called Hope Valley and is a basin with undulating hills all around. It really is spectacular. The pubs serve excellent traditional British pub food and plenty of it, with real ales and Gin clubs. 1530 is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant with a great wine list. There is currently free parking and public car parks around the village.
  • We stayed in Marieanne's cottage for 4 nights and would have loved to stay longer! The location was great, Castleton is a lovely little town, and the cottage is within walking distance to everything you would want/need. The cottage itself is clean, super cosy and very nicely decorated, has so many unexpected extras full of hints and tips on the area, DVD's for rainy days/cosy nights in and tasty treats. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone

  • This place is super special. 2 mins walk from the beautiful village, with shops and pubs aplenty! Walks in the area are incredible especially the rocky Cave Dale!! The house is so beautiful are very comfortable. Everything you might need is available in the kitchen. Communication was perfect. Thanks 😊

  • Such a fabulous cottage and base to explore the Peak District. The cottage is so well equipped and cosy and Marieanne has put together some very useful information to help guide you for your stay! We definitely hope to be back again soon!

  • Clean and cosy cottage, fantastic host! Very responsive and lovely little touches to make us feel welcome! Particularly loved the pork pie! Great location.

  • A beautiful place in a beautiful location, the cottage really is very accessible and has everything you could think of.

    Daniel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just the most amazing cottage. We felt so comfortable there and there is everything that you could wish for and so much more. Total excellence.

  • I never usually visit the same place twice, but after my visit in January last year, I couldn’t wait to return and I feel the same again. The cottage is absolutely stunning, so tastefully decorated and styled, spotlessly clean, a real home from home providing everything you need and more. The location is spot on - a few minutes walk to lovely pubs and tea rooms in Castleton. Marieanne is always a pleasure to deal with and goes above and beyond. I will be returning!

    Clare2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in a super location in the centre of Castleton. Close to all the pubs and little shops, and an easy base for plenty of countryside walks. We loved all the special touches and found the cottage well stocked with everything needed for a self catering break though we ate out most of the time at the pubs. The master room was comfortable and had plenty of storage space. The living room was well stocked with DVDs and games to keep you entertained on a rainy evening and the log fire was the perfect thing to follow a winter walk. The decor is chic and to a high standard, impeccably clean and adorably cute. Our only small issue was with the door in the bathroom as it has a window that looks directly into the shower. We just put a towel up though as we travelled with friends so they didn’t get a show! 😂 As a couple or maybe a family, this wouldn’t be a problem at all and it was quickly solved! We would 100% love to return for a romantic getaway or for our next walking holiday. Thank you!

A stunning listed mill tucked away on the edge of Hathersage, Derybshire an idyllic village in the Peak National Park. The Music Mill pays homage to the buildings musical heritage as an intriguing location for making the first gramophone needles in the UK.
The indulgence you need after experiencing the Peak District outdoor adventures on your doorstep. The Music Mill wows you, as you enter through the old workers entrance, into the stunning open plan living area. Enjoy the cavernous, social space; cook a feast for family & friends, catch up in front of the log burner, have a film night with the blue ray/DVD player or relax a while in the originally styled bathroom. For our younger guests (or the young at heart!) we have a games console with a small selection of games. The Mill is hidden in the Derbyshire hills, by a stream at the edge of Hathersage Village. The Mill keeps its Victorian industrial appearance on the outside but now has contemporary comfort and decadent design on the inside. The quaint village of Hathersage is within 5 minutes walk of the Mill with a wealth of history .... The brother of Charlotte Bronte's school friend Ellen Hussey was vicar of Hathersage. In 1845, Charlotte stayed at the vicarage preparing for the return of the vicar and his wife from honeymoon. She spent weeks exploring the moors and the houses scattered among them. These, and the chiming church clock, all became part of her famous novel 'Jane Eyre'.Outlaw Robin Hood is said to have been born at Loxley, just eight miles from Hathersage. His lieutenant, Little John, is reputedly buried in Hathersage churchyard, in a grave measuring 11 feet from headstone to footstone. Hathersage train station is in 5 minutes walking distance of the Mill. The village is served by a public transport service. Manchester Airport is the nearest airport and rail travel is available from the airport to Hathersage.

  • Six of us had a super time at the Music Mill celebrating my Mum's birthday. The house is really well equipped for dining in and the location a stone's throw from Hathersage was perfect for dog walks from the door and a pub trip or two. We really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches - from the tea, coffee and biscuits, to the board games, speaker and luxurious towels. We would very happily have stayed longer!

    Jenna2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • What a luxurious place! Great for relaxing and a perfect location for some fabulous Peak District walks. The nearby Hathersage Social Club comes highly recommended for food (if you don't want to cook in the exceedingly well equipped kitchen). We will hopefully return soon!

    Angus2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Music Mill, the pictures are beautiful but it’s even more stunning in real life. It’s situated in a lovely village and it was perfect for going on long walks and coming home to retreat to the fire! There were plenty of nice restaurants too. Thank you Jo for one of the best stays I’ve had. I would recommend to anyone and hope to come back again!

  • Wonderful space. Perfect for a group of friends/ family. Spacious, very comfortable with cosy rooms and beautiful views. Hathersage is a lovely village and there are great walks directly from the mill without the need to drive. We had a fabulous time

  • Perfect location with walks on your doorstep and a short stroll away from the centre of Hathersage. The Music Mill offers everything you need along with beautiful interiors. Would highly recommend for a family or group of friends.

  • What a place! Three generations of my family thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful house in the stunning countryside. We had everything we we could need at the house and anything else could be found nearby. The hosts were great with communication and offered so many little touches to help us through our stay. I would definitely revisit and recommend to anyone. Thank you so much!

  • The Mill is a beautiful property situated in the delightful small town of Hathersage. Our family group of 6 adults and 1 child stopped over for 3 nights and the property comfortably accommodated us. We were impressed with the cleanliness, accuracy of description of the property and the little extras left to help us settle in. We would be happy to recommend the Mill to anyone considering a stopover in the Peak District.

  • The cottage is very quaint and perfect if you are in need of a break away. It’s a perfect place for a couple (we took the dog too) and a great escape from ordinary life. Helen was a great host and incredibly helpful. The village of Eyam offers some lovely pubs and coffee shops which are ideal for a pit stop. There are plenty of walks in the local area, we would recommend the 4 mile walk from Eyam and the 7 mile walk over Mam Tor from Castleton.

  • Great base for staying in the Peak District. Helens cottage is very clean, cosy and comfortable. It really does have everything you need for a break away. The cottage was lovely and warm in the cold weather. The weather was abit hit and miss during our visit. We wondered out as much as we could but it was lovely to just sit in and watch some of the great dvd collection. Thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet break away.

    Louise2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful time in Helen's sweet little cottage. Gorgeous and warm with nice touches and kitchen basics. We loved reading about the village history and the walks around the area. The cottage water pressure and heating were fantastic and everything felt very clean. Fantastic communication before and throughout, but our privacy was well respected. Thanks for a lovely weekend :)

Stay in this traditional 17th Century cottage, listen to the relaxing stream from your bedroom window before you enjoy all the jaw dropping scenery when you step out of the front door. Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Castleton, right next to the stream and enjoying a superb location near the 6 local pubs and numerous cafes. We have one double room for you to enjoy, with en-suite shower room. You can walk out of the door and be on a footpath within minutes.
It's not every day you get to sleep in a 17th Century cottage, that is only accessed on foot (no cars - lorries - vans going past this property) This reasonably sized double room - with en-suite shower room - is big enough for a travel cot - if you want to bring one for your small children. You have complete and sole access to our traditional lounge, which has a wood burner. There is also a small utility area for you to have sole use of (which has a sink and microwave) We recommend that you check out the huge range local cafes for breakfast as we don't include this.
Do you love the outdoors, scenery, history, quaint shops and the odd real ale or gin - if yes Castleton is perfect for you. Castleton is well known for it's beautiful scenery, walks, mountain biking, caving and other outdoor adventures. It has several caverns which are open for the majority of the year. The famous Peak Cavern (2 minutes walk) has occasional evening events, including concerts, film showings and haunted visits for Halloween and Carols at Christmas (check their website for dates and details). Peveril Castle entrance is less than 5 minutes to walk to - enjoy the history If you fancy taking the car out then - we are close to Chatsworth House and Gardens, Haddon Hall and the towns of Buxton and Bakewell. https://www.visitpeakdistrict.com/inspiration/uniquedistrict...
  • We had a really great time, the amenities on offer were over and above expected and meant that we felt at home during our stay

  • Excellent place to stay and enjoy the Peaks

    Jay 2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Nicola's was beyond 5 star. Prior to arriving she communicated quickly re any questions and prior to our arrival she kindly offered her accommodation earlier than the 4pm check in date which helped us immensely. The accommodation was very quaint and homely plus only meters from the river. We fell in love with the place and only stayed the one night but we will absolutely stay again. There were many added touches from fresh bath towels, menus from all the restaurants in Castleton plus free drinks in the fridge for the evening. She included a guide of the accommodation with instructions and places to go too, which was very useful. Furthermore she offered to build the fire for us, which we set alight later in the evening which was a very romantic setting. Parking was not an issue as we parked in the tourist car park, which was £6 for 24 hours and has CCTV, which is very cheap compared to city prices. It was a 2 minute walk away from the accommodation. You could park nearby on the roads but you may be better off just parking in the main car park. Lastly she does provide a hob, therefore you can cook if you would like, which may help if you would like to stay in rather than eat out. If you're looking to stay in Castleton or the surrounding areas then this is the place to stay, you won't regret it :D Thank you Nicola for your hospitality.

  • A very peaceful stay. Jane's little place had everything I needed, was sparkling clean and very comfortable and easy to find. I arrived quite late and there were no problems and all communication excellent. I'll hopefully find time to come back and visit the area properly next time, it is very beautiful.

    Fraser2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Janes cottage was amazing, prime location and views. Not completely private but we weren’t bothered for the duration of our stay! The cottage is clean and stylish, had two TV’s which was great as it was very rainy during our stay! We settled in a treat, with complimentary eggs, cereals, milk and teas and coffees!

    Brittany2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Kingfisher Cottage is a wonderful property located right next to the village of Bamford, located closely to the local train station and village shop. The property is beautifully maintained by the hosts, and creates a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Inside Kingfisher cottage are several amenities, such as both a bath and a shower, a stocked kitchen, and a washing machine/tumble dryer, as well as several touches by the hosts themselves. The property, while a bit smaller than the photos offer, is still plenty spacious for two people. The local knowledge of these hosts is handily dispensed through a wonderful information folder, which is available at the property. Using this, we were able to effectively plan our trip in the Peak District and fill it with wonderful activities. Overall, I could not recommend Kingfisher Cottage enough to individuals, couples, or small groups wishing to stay in the Peak District. A truly wonderful property with some fantastic hosts.

    Luke2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for my parent's anniversary and they were blown away by it. Absolutely adorable place with amazing views. Jane was wonderful to work with and was extremely friendly. Would highly recommend and will likely book again in the future!

    McKenzie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage, and although situates off a main road we did not notice traffic noise once inside the property. It is located next to a beautiful river, with a quaint interior. Jane is very accommodating, with quick helpful responses. We would definitely stay again.

    Beth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kingfisher cottage is in a beautiful location and Jane is a great host. It is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and within very easy reach of lovely places to walk as well as an abundance of good places to eat.

Castleton is known as a honey pot village in the Peak District National Park. It is very well equipped for visitors. There are 7 pubs that serve food and most do real ales too. There are 4 jewellery shops in the village selling the local unique precious fluorspar, crafted into beautiful jewellery and ornamental pieces. The ruins of Peveril Castle overlook the village. The surrounding landscape is beautiful, dramatic and popular with walkers. The geology of the region is very interesting, for example the Mam Tor landslip, Cave Dale and Winnats Pass.
  • This lovely cottage is as described. Great location, near to everything you need in the village, spotlessly clean, warm, well equipped and looked after. Having looked at the reviews I already had high expectations, but they were exceeded so a big thank you to the hosts who settled us in, helped with any questions and allowed us to experience their lovely home 😊

  • Lovely cottage in a great location

    Lesley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful old terraced house right at the entrance to Peak Cavern. There is very limited car access, so it is lovely and peaceful, looking out onto the stream which flows down from the cavern. It is very comfortable and sparklingly clean. Lisa provides tea, coffee and milk, as well as toiletries. Also wood and coal for the fire. We had a lovely stay. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Or venture further to one of the many villages pubs nearby, such as the Barrel at Bretton or the Flagstone. The surrounding area of Brosterfield offers a fantastic variety of restaurants, cafes and bakeries to suit any taste. For traditional Italian head to El Lupo's in Baslow or French at Piedaniels. Catch a coffee break at Riley’s in Bakewell or have a night in with a takeaway from The Curry Cottage. For a night of celebration or just in the mood for beautiful food, dinning at the Michelin-starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall is the ideal place to spend the evening. A short drive away are the most amazing Peak District attractions. Chatsworth House (10 mins), historic spa town of Buxton (20 minutes), Bakewell (5 minutes), Haddon Hall (10 minutes), and much, much more.
  • Our first time staying in a shepherds hut. Digby’s hut was very spacious and it had everything we needed. Location is perfect for exploring the peaks and the closest pub is just a 15 minute walk away. The hut is very modern and clean, with WIFI, Bluetooth built in speakers and a log burner. The bed is super comfy with towels and toiletries provided. Dog friendly, ours had a lovely time too.. the area around the hut is enclosed with a small wooden gate.. allowing him to roam safely. The farm is immaculate and well kept with security gates and lighting. Lovely find and we’ll certainly be visiting again

  • Really cozy and stylish place in the heart of the Peak District! Had a brilliant time, it was really thoughtful and accommodating for Penny to include some great recommendations for some local pubs & restaurants.

  • Gorgeous little Shepard’s hut with great walks amenities. Peaceful location, lovely little extras, can’t go wrong! X

  • Digby’s Hut is so cosy, clean and comfy. It’s incredibly well designed and an excellent base to explore the Peak District from. You have everything you need and the tub was lovely, too!

  • Had a wonderful time, would highly recommend.

  • We had a wonderful weekend at Digby’s hut. The accommodation itself had everything we needed with lots of lovely extra touches. As mentioned by others the bed and bedding were incredibly comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean and well finished throughout. We took our two little jack russells who were kept secure happily pottering around in the gated area around the hut while we were able to relax in the hot tub. It does take a good while to heat the tub on the first night but it heated very quickly the next day for a relaxing post walk soak! Definitely worth the heating time. A beautiful area for walks/local pubs and the host replied really promptly when we asked a question. Flawless service in lovely accommodation, we will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay!

  • Just got back from an amazing weekend at Digby Hut! If your looking to go, don’t hum and haw, just book - you will not regret! Booked this for a surprise weekend away for my boyfriend and everything was just perfect. Penny was incredibly quick with her responses making it very swift and easy to book. You have everything you could possibly need in the hut! I loved the cute storage baskets under the couch! They have really put thought into all the little touches! The hot tub was amazing! Sitting in it, relaxing whilst smelling the logs burning was blissful! It did take a little longer that 2 hours to get up to temperature the first night, around 3-4 hours with constant stirring - however so worth the wait! The next day it was still warm in the morning and only took an hour once we come back from our hike in the afternoon before we could jump in! The bed was unbelievably comfy, the best night sleep we had in a long time. The hut is very warm and cosy with a simple heat control system and a cute log fire. Brosterfield Farm is so peaceful, it was lovely to be away from all the hustle and bustle and waking up to hearing the birds singing. Highly recommend the bulls head, Foolow for Sunday lunch. Also tollbar fish and chip shop down in Stoney Middleton. We will be back. Thanks again Penny!

  • Beautiful, Cosy cottage. Really enjoyed our time at this place. Rebecca was really helpful and our stay worked out brilliantly. Just like many others I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

  • Really lovely little cottage with excellent amenities and a great place to explore the surrounding areas from.

  • Lovely cottage, just perfect for our little getaway with our dog. Great walks on the doorstep. Would love to stay again!

  • What a beautiful cottage! We stayed over Christmas with our fur baby and had the most amazing time. Lots of walks nearby! And check in was so easy. Will definitely stay again

    Lyndsey2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • All the reviews are right. This is a lovely cottage and as described. There was a thoughtful touch for our stay just before Christmas with a fully prepared Christmas Tree with lights and a garland over the fireplace. We left on Christmas Eve but wish we were staying longer! We would thoroughly recommend the cottage and Bamford which is an excellent base for the Hope Valley. We had a great meal at The Yorkshire Bridge Inn which is about half a mile away - you might want to consider walking - the portions are huge! :-)

    Ashley & Claire2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great proximity to excellent walking routes. The Anglers Rest pub just up the road was great, and arranged an excellent cake for my mum’s 60th birthday. The house was super clean and the check in process couldn’t have been easier. Would strongly recommend this place and would stay again if I wanted a weekend walking in the Peaks with a few friends!

    Katie2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully presented cottage, lovely space and a nice, safe, enclosed garden. Rebecca was very quick to respond to messages, and very accommodating. We loved Bamford. I ran with my dog to Ladybower reservoir each day - a couple of miles away on great wide trails. I highly recommend Rebecca’s place.

    Amanda2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had great time at Rebecca's place. The house was as described and in good condition. The positives were that it was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The negatives were the stairs are steep, but that was pointed out in the description, the parking situation could be difficult at times, the main road that the house is on that runs through Bamford is pretty busy. But we were warm and comfortable and able to enjoy plenty of the local walks with our dog.

This stylishly decorated cosy stone Cottage is set within the owners beautiful grounds and gardens. It’s completely surround by the most stunning scenery of the spectacular Hope Valley, in the heart of the Peak District national park. The light and airy cottage is beautifully decorated and has lovely features such as exposed beams and a spiral staircase. Apart from the many localwalks to be had, there is cycle hire and an open air swimming pool minutes away.
The location of this beautiful cottage is stunning and the scenery breath taking.
There are several good restaurants in the local village of Hathersage, also several pubs, 2 small supermarkets and a petrol station. There is also a train station and an outdoor public swimming pool.
  • It's a lovely cottage, well situated for walks up onto Stanage Edge and in the surrounding countryside. I had a wonderful stay which was very easy and Diana was very helpful throughout.

    Kim2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A very cute and quaint cottage set a little way out of the hussle and bussle, but close enough to enjoy the local village of Hathersage. We’re quite fit and able but wouldn’t choose to walk the roads to the village so would advise future occupants to expect to use your vehicle. Comfortable, clean and beautiful; lovely homely feel and I wish we could have taken the bedding away with us - so fresh and cosy! Diana left us to our own devices but was quick to reply if we messaged. It was nice not to worry about when we came or went and the setting was beautiful. We came to hike the Stanage Edge and this was the perfect spot to do it from.

  • Such a cute, comfy cottage perfect for exploring the Peak District. It is so quiet and peaceful & just what we needed to relax after a hectic Christmas period. Communication with Diana was great and she answered any questions we had quickly. As Diana states, I would 100% recommend having a car as it helps to explore all the beautiful places near and far. So many walks straight from the cottage too. Thank you!

There will always be a warm welcome at The Old Stables. We have a lovely double room available. TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a continental breakfast are provided. You have your own private bathroom, with a large walk in shower & roll top bath. There is great walking, running, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, climbing & golf all on our doorstep with good views from the house of Bamford Edge, Win Hill & Shatton Moor. Please see our other listing if you are a party of 3 or 4 persons.
The Old Stables is a beautifully converted Coach House dating from around the 1860's and has been tastefully updated retaining many original features in the spacious rooms. Upstairs (on the landing near your room) there is a small seating / table area and a sofa which you are welcome to use. In the summer (and winter if you are very hardy!) you can relax in the walled patio, courtyard or in the garden.
Bamford is very well served by its local community pub (The Anglers Rest as featured on BBC's Countryfile - January 2020) and cafe serving great food and drink from early to late, together with regular entertainment to include quiz nights, bands, open mic nights. There are 3 churches in the Village and the local Bamford Institute has a regular timetable of events to entertain you. Up and down the valley are a range of other pubs and restaurants to choose from if you fancy a change of decor!
  • Review We really enjoyed staying at the Old Stables. I actually changed the dates of our booking a few weeks before arrival and Ian was quick to respond and happy to adjust the booking. Ian and Fiona are fantastic hosts and greeted us when we arrived (but Mutley, their dog, was probably our favourite host). For anyone worried about dogs: Mutley is really laid back and very sweet. The room was really nice, comfortable and very clean. The private bathroom was also spotless. In the morning there is fresh bread and everything you need for a good breakfast. Ian gave us some great tips for local walking routes and both Ian and Fiona were great to chat to and really friendly. I would recommend their place for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay and explore the Peak District!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Ian and Fiona’s lovely home and appreciated all of their thoughtfulness, kindness and special extra touches like the gorgeous home baking! They were wonderful hosts, providing us with super breakfasts each day, suggesting lots of great walks from the door, and giving us lots of space to dry out all of our very wet gear! Their warm welcome and excellent hospitality ensured that the torrential rain in no sense dampened our weekend! Many thanks again.

Rambler Cottage was completely renovated in the summer 2019. We think it is about 200 years' old with lots of character. The cottage is situated in a conservation area of Bradwell in the rolling hills of Hope Valley, Peak District National Park. The village and surrounding areas are breathtaking. Castleton is a 30 minute walk away or 5 minute car drive where you will find the infamous Mam Tor. You won't fail to have a relaxing holiday here, unwind and recharge those batteries.
You are booking the whole cottage with a private garden front and back. You will have your own key to come and go as you please and unless you want to see me you won't be bothered your entire stay. There are two double bedrooms, 2nd is a double bed but classed as small double. There is a log burner in the lounge for cooler nights and the cottage has central heating. The kitchen is fully fitted with all the gadgets
There are two good pubs walking distance from the cottage. An excellent chippy, bakery, Post Office and Co Op convenience store. You are also walking distance from one of our favourite restaurants in the area The Samuel Fox. There are so many walks right from the front door. I’ve put an information pack in the cottage and there are lots of leaflets on places to go, see and do. There are also local maps for all those lovely walks.
  • What a treat this cottage is! Stylish, comfortable, every detail well thought out! Spotlessly clean! The location is perfect for exploring the High Peaks. We loved every minute of our stay! This really is an exceptional place to stay - we cannot wait to return to the area or any of Marieanne's creations.

    Donna2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely and cosy. It’s a short walk to Castleton and perfect for exploring either by foot or driving around the area. Marieanne is a lovely host and the little touches of leaving dog towels for our lucky pups was much appreciated. We loved coming back in the evening and curling up in front of the log burner as well. Would definitely book again with her. Thank you

    Lisa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • BOOK BOOK BOOK! From the moment we booked Ramblers Cottage for our minimoon, we knew we had picked the right place! Marieanne was quick to respond and gave us all the information we needed prior to arriving. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL and spotlessly clean! The finishing touches (I won't spoil the surprises) were thoughtful and sweet and really made us feel special. Even Ginny (our cockapoo) was catered for, with a few dog towels! We had an amazing time at Ramblers Cottage, its within easy reach of some great walks to explore the Peak District. Castleton is literally a 5 minute drive away as is Hope Valley. This is the best Air B&B we've stayed in and is truly a gem of a find! Thank you Marieanne for making our minimoon perfect!!

    Amye2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage in an amazing location. Marieanne was so understanding when we didn’t arrive until a day later as the weather was so awful! A really well equipped place to stay. Wonderful to have little touches like a local pork pie and bottle of wine to welcome us!

    Katy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage, very cosy and if you’re lucky enough to be able to book take advantage. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever.

    Lee2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic host and fantastic cottage! We will 100% be back in the future. The cottage is stylish, charming, cosy and lots of thoughtful touches there such as wine, chocs and treats for the dogs!

    Rose2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in a great location! Marieanne was a brilliant host, from outstanding communication, to top tips for our stay, and some lovely welcoming touches when we arrived. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely, cosy and beautifully decorated cottage.

    Katie2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, cosy cottage based in the heart of the Peak District. The host was very helpful and left very thoughtful touches, making the cottage much more personal and welcoming. The decor is modern yet warming and the host has gone to a lot of effort to create such a cosy environment. The property was clean and very suitable for both humans and furry friends. If you are looking for somewhere which has everything and ticks all the right boxes, this is the place to stay. I would definitely come back again!

From the end of October to mid-March my place is closed to short-stay visitors. If you were interested in a longer stay please contact me. My house is well placed for people who love the countryside. Cyclists and walkers just walk out the door. The house is a traditional cottage, with lovely views over the Hope Valley. Easy rail access to Sheffield and Manchester. A cat lives here with me.
Firstly, please note that I have a cat in the house , but not in guests' rooms. The house is a cottage, with lovely views over the Hope Valley. There are two rooms available, if you want to book both then book one through this listing and for the other please refer to my other listing " A Hope Valley Home Welcomes You Too." Both rooms can have a double bed and one can have one or two singles. You also have use of the kitchen, dining and sitting rooms, plus garden and conservatory. There's one bathroom for the sole use of guests, sitting space open to visitors including a south-facing conservatory, and a lovely garden. You're welcome to help yourself to tea /coffee and to use the kitchen. There's a dish-washer and washing machine if needed. There's gas central heating and extra heating if required, and also log burning stoves. There's wi-fi and internet, the broadband should be 'unlimited' but isn't as good as advertised, suitable for everyday use but probably not working intensive working or downloading. There are two rooms available for renting, one with a double bed and the other with either a single, two singles or zipped together another double bed. This room is downstairs next to the bathroom. The upstairs double room has its own wash basin but is further from the bathroom, and has its own entrance. To book this room refer to my other listing A Hope Valley home welcomes you. My house is clean, comfortable and welcoming but I wouldn't describe it as immaculate and there are certainly no air-fresheners! For the most part I try to live without too much of a 'footprint'. After the summer a room is available for longer term renting- suitable for a professional person wanting a quiet place to go to work from, possibly on a Monday- Friday basis if requested. The 271/272 bus to Sheffield is two minutes from the house, running hourly into the evening, and taking about 40 minutes to reach the centre of Sheffield. The Sheffield/Manchester rail line and village centre is 15 minutes walk. The local pub is two minutes walk where you can get fairly priced meals. There are a choice of restaurants within a 10 mile radius, two Indian restaurants in the village and a big plus about our village is the outdoor swimming pool open from March to the end of October, one of few left in the country. A further mile beyond the village is a shop and cafe with fabulous views of birds feeding on the birdtables just outside the windows, a little closer is a family farm selling homemade ice-cream. The village (Hathersage) has small supermarkets, fruit and veg shop, supplies for walkers and climbers, a good deli and several pubs and tea-shops. Local societies put on plays and concerts. The Monsal Dale cycle track is is about 7 miles away. Climbers come to use the local edges for climbing and bouldering. There's a Norman Castle (Peveril in Castleton) and the famous Blue John mines/ caves. There are hundreds of well-marked walking routes throughout the Peak District. From March to the end of September the HEATED OPEN AIR POOL is open, with beautiful views as you swim. The whole of the Peak district is at your disposal, I can suggest local walks and information, and offer maps or even walk-leading on occasion if requested. Access by car is limited, you could drive your car down a small lane, otherwise leave it two minutes walk away, by agreement, in the pub's car park. During October and November the SHEFFIELD LITERARY FESTIVAL is on. Check out " Off the Shelf". The house is built on the site of a much older cottage listed in the fourteen hundreds. If you're six feet tall you'll need to mind your head going through some doorways. A note of caution- this is the country and paths may be bumpy and muddy, stones slippery when wet or when there are fallen leaves. Be prepared.
It' a beautiful location in the Peak National Park, rich in local amenities- places to eat, get a coffee, shops, garage, events. There are wonderful and varied walks, on the high moors, over hills, in dales and woodland. It is very quiet and peaceful without being isolated.
  • A perfect base to explore peak district! Marion is very kind to pick us up from the train station in the dark. We had nice little conversation and she gave very useful hiking tips, showing great hospitality. The view from the room is stunning!! Definitely a place would love to return to :))

    Paige2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marion's place was the perfect base for a weekend of hiking in the Peak District. The room was cozy and clean, and Marion's hospitality and knowledge of the area made for a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable few days. Would 100% recommend and stay again!

  • A truly unique location and an absolutely beautiful place to stay. The host was helpful with local tourist tips. breakfast was included, car parking too. Recommended A+++

    Eessa2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marion is indeed a super host: staying at her cottage felt like being at home! We were surprised by a delicious breakfast every morning and enjoyed her excellent tips about local hikes. We fell in love with her wonderful cat!

    Davide2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is possibly the best place to stay in the Peaks district. A private room, and amazing sunroom with million dollar views over the Hope Valley and a host that knows all the footpaths and pubs and everything a traveller needs to get around. There is also a fabulous garden and if you're lucky you might get some fresh berries or other delicacy from Marion's little eden. The home is just above Hathersage and if you are accustomed to the hills, a short walk to the village or the local train station. If you need a pint, there is an pub up a very short path. Marion offers insider information on everything local. I actually can't think of enough superlatives for this room/home.

    Raymond2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • A cottage full of character with an warm invitation to make yourself at home

    Sue2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Marion’s home is the most charming place I have ever stayed. We felt completely at home and comfortable. Marion met us at the pub nearby to direct us to the cottage. It is located down a very narrow road and can be difficult to find on the first try. There is a walking path to the pub, which had wonderful food and service. We visited multiple times. Also a short drive away is great hiking at Stanage Edge. Marion’s home has all the basic amenities you need and she was kind enough to provide us with a delicious breakfast every morning. Plus the bedroom has an absolutely stunning view! Getting to spend time with her cat was a great perk as well. I would not hesitate to come back in the future.

    Sarah2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Marion was a great host. She was always very responsive to my needs and had made sure my stay was a joyous one. The house is located on a footpath and there are several good walks starting right from the house. it is about 15-20mins walk from the train station. The bus stop is only 1 min away. Marion picked me up on the first day, very kind of her! She even offered to give me a lift to the station on the day I left! The room was very clean and has a spectacular view. Private toilet just next to the room.

We are an eco-friendly site with ground source heating, rainwater harvesting and recycling available. Take one of the many footpaths that lead past your doorstep. Tideswell, known as the Cathedral of the Peak, is a busy little village. It is serviced by a Co-Op supermarket as well as some independant shops like Tindall's the Bakers, Post Office, Peaches the greengrocers and the local pharmacy. It is also well provided for with eateries and pubs inlcuding The Horse and Jockey, The Star Inn, The George and the Merchant's Yard restaurant. There is also a fish and chip shop opposite the church.
  • I had a lovely stay in the Little Barn. It was so cosy and peaceful. It had all the amenities and equipment you would need for a quiet getaway. Suzie was very helpful with local suggestions and the place was very clean too. Would recommend for anyone 😊

    Nicola2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space, kitchen larger than expected, full equipped. Bunk beds comfy, just remember to bring a blanket/sheets or sleeping bag! Lovely location, Andrew and Suzy are fantastic and will definitely be staying again.

    Dani2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Little Barn is a lovely place to stay and really great value for what it offers! The hosts were very welcoming, helpful, and kind. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the bathroom (plus a second extra toilet) was sparkling clean and the shower is very spacious! The entire space was very well heated even when we were visiting in winter. The location is lovely, with some views just as you walk out of the driveway. And it's in the middle of the Peak District so easy to explore anywhere from here. Just remember to bring bedsheets, duvet/sleeping bag, and towels! The bunks in the bedroom took me back to my school camp days, very quaint! The bedroom is spacious and can easily fit the luggage of six people (there are six beds total).

  • We all really enjoyed our winter get away at the little barn. We recieved great communication and advice about our walking plans. The barn was cute and clean, easy to find (its even on our OS map) , quiet and comfortable. Top tips: don't forget towels ( oops!) And if you're going to hang out in the kitchen at night those of us with slippers were happiest on the beautiful flag stone floors:)

  • Delightful! By far the best Air BnB experience I've ever had. If you're looking for a rural getaway, this is the place for you. The location is a short drive from all the major points of interest and the cottage itself is cosy, homely & so inviting. The kitchen is very well stocked & there was even a bottle of bubbly welcoming me to the cottage! The rooms are spotless & real attention to detail has been paid. There are lots of thoughtful additions, such as a basket of board games & the welcome pack is comprehensive. Cathy offered me tips on where to walk and sent me addresses of tea rooms . I absolutely loved my stay & was sad to leave. I'll definitely be back! Thank you, Cathy and family 😊

There is plenty of room for three adult couples or any combination of adults and children that adds up to six. There are food shops close by as well as good pubs and restaurants. Hathersage is less than ten minutes in the car, where we particularly enjoyed the Bank House restaurant. We stayed for four nights but would have been more than happy to stay for a week or more if we had the time.

  • It’s a fabulous bungalow which shows a great taste of the host. The view from every window was exquisite, and the garden was well manicured. The only thing that was not very convenient to operate was that the hot and cold water faucets were separated, but this did not affect our quality of life here. Thanks for the hospitality!

Do you want to explore the Peak District National Park from the comfort of a cosy cottage with friendly hosts? Then come and stay with us. You will have your own full size comfy double bed in a small bright room and we will be here to greet you with a smile.
We would love it if you came to stay with us in our cute stone terraced cottage, situated in a chocolate box village in the Hope Valley. The bedroom is small, we have to admit, but it has everything you need. The full sized double bed can be folded to make a sofa for extra space. We like to make sure our guests can make themselves a hot drink in the room, we supply a coffee maker and hot water for fruit teas. The shower room is modern and bright with underfloor heating to keep you warm whatever the weather and the shower is nice and big. You will be sharing these facilities with us, but we always ensure our guests take priority. You can enjoy the fantastic views of Bradwell edge from the sun lounge. We use the ground floor space for us, so there are no cooking facilities or living area available for you to use. However there are four pubs in the village, a bakery, chip shop and Co-op store. Not forgetting the famous Bradwell ice-cream shop. Our property is a pet free home.
Hope Valley is one of the best-loved parts of the Peak District National Park, offering some of the best views and most picturesque villages in the country. This unique part of Derbyshire is home to classic Peak District walks such as Winnats Pass, Mam Tor and the Great Ridge is arguably the most photographed area of the whole National Park! Ruth and Jason are super friendly, and the room and bathroom is immaculately clean. As a comfortable, convenient and cosy overnight stopover for one or two people, can’t imagine there’s anything better value going!

  • Gorgeous little cottage . Very quiet . The bedroom is very small but fine if you just need somewhere to sleep and don’t need to spend much time indoors . Although we were fine just sitting on the bed and reading when we had time to kill . The sofa bed is very comfy and the room nicely decorated . The hosts were very helpful and welcoming and we made use of the local bus service . Stunning scenery and great pubs locally .

  • Wonderful cottage with a lovely interior and some outside space. Great location for mam tor and Stanage edge. Penny was always prompt with her replies and very helpful following a power cut during one of the nights.

    Ronak2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Brosterfield Farm was even better than we could have imagined from the images. The cottage was sparkling clean and incredibly cosy - the underfloor heating was a real treat after a long day of walking! The view surrounding the farm is beautiful and the amenities within the cottage were all we could have hoped for. Letting ourselves in with the key box made it feel very secluded and private but with information in the guest book about how to contact Penny and members of her family made it also feel like they would be on hand if ever we needed anything. The cottage came with a good amount of recommendations for places to eat and taxi services that we also utilised. I cannot recommend this cottage enough!

  • The house is lovely and clean, right on the doorstep of some amazing walks. Very comfortable, and no complaints whatsoever.

    Tom2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a week to make the most of the local walks. The cottage is perfectly situated only a few miles from some of the main hikes of the peaks such as Kinder Scout and Back Tor. The cottage is a beautiful home with all the amenities you need. We enjoyed many evenings in front of the log burner after long walks. Check in was very easy and we had lots of communication prior. Parking was available at the front of the property and using the pub car park. Staff were very friendly a the pub down the road. It had a lovely atmosphere there also. We couldn’t recommend the cottage enough. It’s situated near the main roads for easy access to the whole area but also far enough away you can enjoy the quite of the countryside. The village has a lovely bakery, co-op, post office and a few nice pubs. You can pick up fire wood from the local garden centre. Top highlights of the area were hikes up Back Tor, Kinder Scout, Black hill. A drive to Arthur’s way and the caverns. Days out in little villages such as Bakewell. 30-40 minutes away from Stockport with lots of railway links near by. Would highly recommend this cottage.

  • I booked this for my Mum and Dad for his 70th birthday. They have done nothing but rave about it since they’ve been back. It was spotless and my mum is very particular. The area was great for exploring and lots of dog friendly places. Victoria’s attention to detail was outstanding and her help in booking was amazing. I must have asked a hundred questions and she was patient and couldn’t do enough to help. Highly recommend.

  • Very much a hidden treasure within the Peak District. The Drey was spotlessly clean and Helen ensured that food essentials and other treats were there when we arrived. We stayed for 3 nights and would not hesitate staying again - nice peaceful location, yet within easy travelling distance of beautiful walks in the area. Thoroughly recommended

  • Helen was there to greet us, shown us around and explained a few things, including how to get hold of her if we needed anything and left us to it. The rooms are very clean and warm but if you get chilly then there are heaters. A comfortable bed gave us a good night sleep. A good kitchen and spacious bathroom complete the inside. The view can be enjoyed from the veranda and we took a walk to pub. A great place to stay for peace and quiet.

My house is set in the heart of picturesque Hathersage, it is ideal for people who love the countryside whether it's for walking, climbing, cycling, running or a simple escape from the hectic city.
It is a traditional terraced cottage in the centre of Hathersage, that was once part of the pin and needles industry. The village of Hathersage is nestled below rolling moorland and the three mile long gritstone escarpment of Stanage Edge, my local pub is the Little John and the village is associated with the legendary medieval outlaw that ran with Robin Hood. The village is also lucky enough to have a heated outdoor swimming pool which is open from Spring to Autumn. The house has two rooms available for renting so there may be other guests staying; the back room which is this listing is suitable for one, has a double bed and good storage. The loft room is a good size, please see the other listing, suitable for a couple or single, has a double bed with good storage. There is a shared bathroom on the ground floor. I keep my home clean and welcoming, however it is a used and lived in house so there will be lumps and bumps. You are welcome to help yourself to tea/coffee and to use the kitchen however you need to provide your own food e.g. breakfast. The living room has a log burner and logs can be bought from the centre of the village which is only a couple of minutes away. I have a decent garden which provides a good place to lie out in the sun on summers days and it's close to a farm (Thorpe Farm) that sells locally made ice cream. I'm easily easily accessed by train and bus which is a 5 minute walk away or car with excellent off street parking. Sheffield and Manchester are within easy reach. I can recommend good climbing areas and numerous walks and runs in the region or point you in the direction of the local pubs, tea shops, a couple of small supermarkets and Indian restaurants. There is also a fruit and veg shop and a good butchers nearby. I hope you enjoy your stay.
It is an idylic village in the Peak National Park with numerous facilities. The house is on a quiet backwater yet only a couple of minutes from the centre of the village. There are numerous dales, river walks, open moorland and cragging opportunities.
  • A great little place with excellent access to the surrounding countryside. Hathersage is a lovely village. Paul is a great host with a passion for the Peak District and was kind enough to share some of his local knowledge, including a superb restaurant tip.

  • Cosy, comfortable room in an excellent location with good running, hiking and climbing. Paul was friendly and easy to communicate with, and check-in was simple. • Very nice stay at Paul's, who was actually away but communication and instructions beforehand were great so easy to check in and get settled, with a neighbour on hand if needed too. So I had the place to myself and a really nice and clean home and room in a great, peaceful, scenic location yet with everything a short stroll away. Highly recommended.

  • Stephen's place was just what we'd hoped for - a proper farm cottage, with a cosy feel. The log burner was great and made for lovely, warm, relaxing evenings. Communication was easy and very clear, and everything was as expected. We appreciated the little extra touches too - a few goodies and lots of local information. It is also well situated to explore Buxton, Bakewell and of course, the best of the Peak District is on your doorstep!

Stephen was a lovely host the place was very clean and tidy and had some really thoughtful touches such as leaving a bottle of wine out for us to celebrate our anniversary - we would have no hesitations about coming to stay again, in fact I am already planning to do so with some friends when the weather gets a bit nicer! Thanks for a lovely weekend. Amy and Sam :)

We have lovingly restored a section of our 300 year old cottage for guests to have their own privacy. Our cottage is one of the most central properties in Castleton village. Suitable for couples or two person sharing (the bed splits in two). We supply the same luxurious standard as we do at our other cottages in Castleton and Bradwell. PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT CHARGE CLEANING FEE WHICH MAKES US EVEN MORE ATTRACTIVE!
You will have a key to come and go as you please, the apartment has its' own entrance and is completely private. You are attached to our home, but there is a door between us that will be locked, so you are completely private. We will not go into the apartment whilst you stay
If you don't know Castleton be prepared for a treat. We live in one of the most beautiful villages in England (slightly biased!). There are 6 pubs, a bakery, fudge shop, so many coffee/ tea shops and lots of sight seeing things to do We have walking, cycling, rock climbing, paragliding, horse riding, fell running all available in the area. There are mines to go down and big hills to go up. So many beautiful stately homes, parks, forests and towns to visit. It truly is a beautiful area of the UK.
  • This is a lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean. Very cosy. It has everything you need. It's in an ideal location, close to shops and pubs. Ideal location for walks and visiting caverns. Highly recommend staying here.

  • A stylish and cosy hideout in a charming village with lots to do. Marieanne provided thoughtful touches and a warm welcome. A perfect base for a couple's long weekend. We will return

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little cottage right in the heart of Castleton, ideal for a couple or a single person. The interior is cosy and immaculate - the bathroom and kitchen were surprisingly modern too, and had everything you would need - so much attention to detail :) Wifi was provided and I found it fast and reliable, and there's also a TV too. There's an amazing bakery just opposite, as well as a convenience store next door, and a number of pubs dotted around the village - all the food I sampled was fantastic and good value. This location was ideal for me, and meant walks up Cave Dale, Mam Tor and the Great Ridge were easily done straight from the door. You could even make it over to Kinder Scout via foot for a longer day out, or take a short car trip and park up near Edale. Public transport to and from the location was pretty good too. There is a bus terminal just near to the cottage which runs to the local (Hope) train station or goes straight into Sheffield - or you can even walk to Hope (40min), and take either the main road, or a scenic route via Peakshole Water. I would absolutely return and look forward to my next trip!

    Nick2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cottage, so clean and stylish and just so homely! In the centre of a great village with 7 pubs and the most amazing bakery/deli opposite the house. Beautiful walks from the doorstep. We got the train from London and did not need a car at all. Marieanne kindly picked us up from the station in Hope which is just a 5min drive from Castleton. A really perfect getaway amongst the most beautiful scenery. The walk to Mam Tor and along the ridge overlooking the whole valley was incredible and great to have so many pubs to choose from when we got back. It is in such a great location. There’s a fully fitted kitchen to cook or lots of options for food out. The shower was amazing too! Marieanne is an exceptional host and we highly recommend! Just book it!

  • I don't have enough positive words to use to praise Marianne's hospitality and space. She was so incredibly thoughtful in providing the basic necessities and treats to make my arrival easy, enjoyable and relaxing. She went out of her way in a number of ways to accommodate me since I was using public transport! The space is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. She had decorated and appointed it so pleasingly!. And very clean. Everything I could have needed was there. The village and surrounding countryside are such a pleasure to visit. Her place is smack-dab in the center of it all! I would go back in a heartbeat.

  • We loved Marieanne's place, it's a beautiful space in a fantastic location with loads of things to do nearby. Walking distance to all the pubs and cafes, as well as walking tracks. From the friendly welcome to all the little special touches around the place, everything was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay!

All perfect for a quiet retreat . The cottage is small and quaint with all the amenities you need. Loved the fire, or should I say my husband did. • Thanks for accommodating Catherine and I over the Yuletide Penny :-) Apologies for being a touch late on check out. Some small feedback from us: when starting the fire there was some smoking that came into the room, and the flue plate inside the fire was slightly out of place which I think didn't help; but once hot and drawing it was fine :-). When we got to the cottage we couldn't find the fridge! I assumed it just didn't have one, but having just re-checked the listing it is listed: were we just v blind!? I should have messaged you! Thanks for making such a beautiful cottage available in this stunning location. It was a completely idyllic weekend.

  • A lovely, cosy cottage perfect for hibernating in after long days out walking in the Peaks. Great location for Bakewell and Castleton whilst being out of their busier bustle. Had no problems with the Wi-Fi but was never streaming videos, TV had all your standard channels. The pub being in stumbling distance was certainly a bonus, offering delicious veggie and meat dishes and good local beer! I'm sure we'll be back! :)

  • Such an amazing stay, we only stayed for one night and wish it was longer, will definitely book again. The hut has so many little beautiful touches for a great relaxing stay. The local village is beautiful with some little shops and cafe’s. Super close to Bakewell too for long or short walks.

    Leah2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The hut is beautiful and the scenery surrounding it is gorgeous. There is a short walk from the hut to the bathroom facilities but they provide you with a torch for the dark! The host is lovely, fast communication and although the hut is located in the hosts garden, it still feels private once you’re in there and the host gives you your space. The little touches are lovely from local suggestions, games & the breakfast hamper to the log fire with marshmallows and the fairy lights 🙌🏻

    Katie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing one night stay at the shepherds hut. Rachel was great at communication prior to our stay. The hut itself is immaculate and so so cosy, with everything you’d ever need down to torches and slippers and loads of useful info! It’s the perfect little escape and we would definitely recommend! Thank you Rachel!

  • The shepherd's hut is exactly as described in the listing. The hut is cosy and homely, and despite staying in the midst of a storm we were toasty warm thanks to the log burner. The hut and wash room were clean and there were lots of thoughtful touches, like games to play, books to read, and other activities. Breakfast was very tasty. We only briefly met Rachel, as she didn't want to intrude on our time there, but she was very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely visit again!
