My place is close to Omeath village just on the Irish side of the border with Northern Ireland. The cottage lies between Newry, Northern Ireland and Carlingford, Republic of Ireland. Set in a quiet location, lovely ambiance and plenty of outdoors space. A car is a necessity. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, walkers, golfers, cyclists and ONE SMALL dog. It’s not set up for child safety. It offers a work from home alternative with very good wifi connectivity supporting video calls

Welcome to our barn conversion which we hope will provide you with the perfect escape, or a base for your countryside adventures or a bed after exploring nearby towns and cities. Beautifully restored old stone barn.

Beautiful and full of character cottage was the farms dairy. Min 2 night stay at times, but one night stay may be possible with supplement. Total cost varies depending on total no. of guests and length of stay. Ideal if attending weddings at Cabra Castle, Tankardstown, Slane Mill or Darver Castle. We are mid-way between Dublin and Belfast and ideally located to explore the rich heritage of The Boyne Valley. We also offer dinner and breakfast options....please ask and we'll forward details.

An Lochta is a converted , two story, 19th century grain store, surrounded by a mature and carefully tended garden on a small farm, set in the idyllic rustic peace and quiet of rural Co Meath. Despite our seclusion, we are just 10 minutes from the M1 motorway, 1 hour from Dublin and within easy reach of the major historical sites of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. (Unfortunately the layout of the building renders it unsuitable for wheelchair users).
