Draw the curtains for privacy in a cosy reading nook with views toward verdant rolling countryside. This converted Victorian era barn is brimming with rustic comforts including a wood-burning fireplace and a claw-foot tub next to a heated towel rack.
The barn is a lovely private space for a romantic break for two. It has it's own kitchen, bathroom with roll top bath, sitting room with wood burner, and kingsize bed with White Company bed linens and towels provided. There is a hot tub in the garden for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped with a mini dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, kettle etc.
Swallows' Flight Barn is adjacent to a farmhouse in 1,000 acres of glorious Devon farmland, set in a historic courtyard dating back to 1860. It's one mile to the sea and many beautiful beaches, and a 10-minute walk to the village with great dining.
  • We had a wonderful mini moon in Devon! Lucia was a fantastic and welcoming host that instantly made us feel so comfortable. We absolutely recommend staying here, an amazing place in a great part of the country!!

  • We had a wonderful time at Swallow's Flight - the barn is in a truly stunning location and was the perfect place to relax. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom is lovely - we would really recommend staying at Lucia's beautiful place!

  • We cannot fault swallows barn! Lucy has thought of everything - it was such a special place to stay and she was full of recommendations of great restaurants and walks to do locally. We are definitely coming back as we didn’t have nearly long enough to do all the wonderful things the area has to offer. The weather was dreadful but swallows barn was the cosiest place to squirrel away. We now want to come back in the summer. Wholeheartedly recommend.

  • Amazing stay ! Clean, cozy and very stilish tree house. We will definitely be back in the summer.

  • A lovely romantic quirky getaway! Would definitely recommended to anyone thinking about booking this treehouse :)

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Booking this weekend away was possibly the best decision myself and my partner have made! The treehouse is located within walking distance of the lovely salcombe, it is a bit hilly, but after a few gin and tonics you hardly notice the slopes! We stayed in mid February, and even with the rain and the wind, we felt incredibly warm and cosy in the beautiful treehouse (which has underfloor heating!!!). Our lovely hosts sent through a massive comprehensive list of not only great places to go for dinner, but a large list of taxi numbers and directions on how to get to and from wherever you need to go! On top of this there was a massive booklet full to the brim of great activities to get stuck into during the day! We opted in for the full cooked breakfast which was winched up to us in a hamper ready for us to cook in the morning. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Everything was so fresh and tasted amazing, and not being the smallest chap, I was impressed with the portion sizes! Worth it every time! I think we witnessed the treehouse being tested as storm Denis was still whipping the coastline during our visit, but apart from the occasional whistling wind, you would hardly notice there was a storm outside! It’s beautifully quiet and with my phone on airplane mode it was the perfect weekend to switch off. It is worth noting that the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the sheets, towels and all cooking utensils were absolutely spotless! We are both very much looking forward to our next visit (maybe in the summer next time to make the most of the lovely patio area with the fire pit!). Thanks again!

  • A lovely unique stay, great location for exploring Salcombe and the wider area. A particularly lovely touch was the option of a breakfast being winched up to the treehouse - we went for the full English and the local produce was excellent. The shower was lovely and warm, a welcoming experience after being out in wet and windy weather!

    Bryony2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful treehouse! Very clean and incredibly well equipped. The underfloor heating and electric wood burner were certainly needed to dry off clothes after a wintry walk! A 20 minute brisk walk to Salcombe along a lovely path, is an added bonus.

    Dave2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say thank you enough for our stay. First and foremost The Treehouse and the surroundings are both absolutely gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfy, in fact the whole place is just so warm and cosy. The shower was absolutely to die for and all the space so well designed. Freya was the perfect host, so informative and organised ahead of arrival and attentive on check in despite her own busy diary. The short walk into Salcombe is really pleasant (bring a torch!) but far enough out of the town that it is it’s own little world. I could not recommend this place enough.

    Will2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Can't recommend the Treehouse at Salcombe Farm enough. It is so comfy and inviting and was absolutelty spotless. The decorations for Christmas were a really nice touch, loved the mistletoe hanging over the bed! Thank you so much Felicity and Freya, can't wait to come back soon.

    Gracie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at the treehouse for a birthday celebration. Wonderful woodland location but still within a short walking distance into Salcombe. The property was very well presented with lovely extra touches. Good communication, hosts very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend!

Relax and unwind in this luxurious studio apartment, with smart TV, cooking facilities, walk-in shower with underfloor heating and all mod-cons. Or on a warm day, soak up the sun in the garden, while cooking on the BBQ.
Perfect luxury retreat for couples, for either a long or short break. All bedding, towels, tea towels provided along with tea and coffee facilities.
Just a short stroll from the main town centre of Salcombe. 10 minute walk down the hill but 10/15 minute walk back up. Its not a major problem but note the hill is steep. Close enough to enjoy the activity of the town but far enough away to escape and find peace should you need. Less than a minute away from the local spar store and post office.
  • Fabulous accommodation conveniently located.

  • Would absolutely recommend staying here, the place was lovely and had everything we needed. Beautifully decorated, it felt cosy and comfortable and provided good shelter from Storm Dennis! Clare and David were wonderful hosts, they made check-in and check-out incredibly easy and were very easy to get in contact with. They also left a lovely welcome basket for us to enjoy. The apartment was very close to the town centre and has a Spar just opposite. Overall, a great experience!

Apartment in Salcombe, South Devon - 15 mins Walk To The Heart Of Salcombe And Less Than Five To The Beach At North Sands. Stylish Apartment With Large Decking And Spectacular Sea Views.
Stylish and comfortable apartment occupying the seaward corner of a large Victorian villa set in lawned gardens (shared) sloping down towards the bay. Even though it's an apartment it's still quite private and you don't feel like you're overlooked by other visitors although it is worth noting that ours is one 8 apartments in a large house, some of which are occupied full time by residents and whose gardens/decking adjoin ours. With amazing views from the decking this well equipped apartment is the perfect holiday destination for families and friends. Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms) PLEASE NOTE - Linen and Towels, Bath Mats, Hand Towels, Tea Towels and Oven Gloves are all provided as well as a few basic essentials to start you off such as loo roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc and tea and coffee. Notes on bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, fabulous sea views and opens on to the decking. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and large windows overlooking the garden (and shed - sorry!). Bedroom 3 has two funky full size wooden bunks. Also a door opening on to the decking and lovely views. There is a trundle bed that you can pull out from under the lower bunk, which would be fine for an extra child to sleep on, but would make the room a bit snug. Please let us know if you plan to use this. Bathrooms Family bathroom has a bath with shower over. There's a loo in there too. The other bathroom is a little more cosy and has the same bath, shower and loo layout. Kitchen The kitchen has a gas hob with electric ovens. There's even a steam oven for the adventurous. Fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave all fitted and high quality. White plates, lots of wine glasses. Good pans. Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother with a few pods to get you started. Living Room A big wooden table, easily seating eight, separates the kitchen from the sitting room, which has two big slouchy sofas facing each other across a low table, good for feet or magazines. There's a good-sized telly (not too giant) with a DVD player. Notes on accommodation: Child's Highchair. Travel cot Outside: Gas bbq. The decking is great. Clean and modern with the most amazing sea views. You can easily sit eight around the table for lunch or dinner and there's still enough room for children to do their own thing without disturbing everyone. Two big sun loungers and two reclining chairs. Cushions for garden furniture in the shed. The railings on one side are a little low so care should be taken with young children. There are lawns and planted borders below on the sea side. It's great for younger children to play on but too slopey to play football (which many might think is a good thing!). Parking is up above the house out of the way in one allocated space. There is plenty of unrestricted parking on Sandhills Road for additional cars. Steps down from the car park to the front door.
It is close to the lovely North Sands beach and of course the popular Winking Prawn beachfront cafe/restaurant.
  • Stunning views , spacious , tastefully decorated apartment with a large terrace . Ideal location for beaches and town . Fantastic host that gave us lots of extra info , and very accommodating with early check in and check out . Lovely little touches with some local fudge and tulips for our arrival ! We hope to be back again soon ! Thank you

  • Sophie went out of her way to make sure every conceivable thing was taken care of so we landed with great ease, in a place that's quite wonderful! The views from the windows and the decking out across the sea and the valley were entrancing - we spent hours enjoying the view, taking in the sun, rain, wind and it was all pleasurable. The place was spotless, very comfortable, lovely touches and we got what we were seeking most, peace and quiet. The short walk into town was enough for us to feel that the great meals out we had was enough to burn a few calories! My son is keen to come again and that says it all

If you want stunning views, a very well equipped apartment and easy access on foot to Salcombe this provides it all. Sophie is an excellent and thoughtful host; she even provided a tastefully decorated Christmas tree and festive treats. We can’t fault it.

  • Diana is a fantastic host. We had an amazing stay at the loft. The place has been very clean, cosy and comfortable. The communication with Diana was fantastic. Lots of information sent to me whilst booking and before arrival, including detailed directions and useful information about the area. In the flat we found beds nicely made, clean towels, tea, coffee etc. The loft is very warm and cosy. I cannot recommend Diana and her loft enough! It really is beautiful. Please bear in mind that the location is in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you do your food shopping before arrival as it took us around 15mins drive to the shop. There is a free wifi access available. However, the connection was poor and also the TV loses the signal every now and again. That's the only down side. But, if you are planning to enjoy books or walks around then thats a perfect place! Thank you Diana 😊

    Brygida2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, great communication. Would love to stay again

  • Diana is a brilliant host, very helpful and quick to respond. The apartment is just as described. Very clean, comfy and homely with everything you need. It is tucked away in a very quiet and beautiful spot but a great location to explore the area. Highly recommend.

    Sue2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Diana's place is in the rural England, with very narrow roads but wonderful coloured nature. It is for those looking for a quiet place to rest, to enjoy Nature, to loose themselves on the trails around and breathe very good quality air. The appartment is easy to find (in a building on the farm teritory), easy to get in, is classic/modern (with a marine theme in the interiour decorations), has a full equipped kitchen, cozy bathroom, big livingroom, and good beds in both bedrooms. And the price is very good, for the conditions offered.

  • We really enjoyed our stay. I was down for work, but my wife and 3 year old son came too. John was available anytime and was really helpful when we needed to extend our stay. The living area is spacious and stylish. It was nice coming back in the evenings to the property as I found it comfortable and relaxing- it’s very quiet being away from the main road in its own private block. Parking is plentiful with a gated car park. The garage is really handy if you have bikes or prams. Just a stone’s throw from the beach and the wetlands offers some lovely walks and views. Buses to Kingsbridge or Dartmouth are easy to get to- although we found them surprisingly expensive! Overall I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

  • The Secret Spot is a little slither of heaven. Beautifully decorated in a beachy style with lots of cute touches. A delicious breakfast of eggs, sourdough and homemade jam is included which was lovely. The bed is comfy and the whole place is utterly relaxing. Would definitely return.

  • Despite the weather we had an absolutely fantastic weekend at the Secret Spot. The spot was Sparkling clean and only a close walk to the lovely Torcross. The air B and B is fully equip for rustling up your own grub (however be warned there is only one hob). The air b and b is full of charm and beautifully decorated. Jacquie is incredibly helpful, including personal touches and replies very quickly ! Look forward to returning :)

The flat itself is really nicely put together, with everything you could need - in fact Jaquine and Garry have put in lots of little touches to make it a great stay that were really appreciated.

This pretty corner of South Devon is the perfect spot to enjoy a family holiday or a relaxing break with friends, and to add a little touch of luxury to your stay, why not take the penthouse apartment? Your beautiful apartment has its own entrance at the back of the building and as soon as you get inside, you’ll be ready to unwind and take in the views. It was also used as a training ground for the US Army in the preparation for the D-Day in World War II. If you want to explore further afield, Dartmouth and Salcombe are within easy reach.
  • What a beautiful apartment ...it was everything we needed for our party of five...great living area ...lots of natural light ...it was spotlessly clean ...and so quiet and peaceful ..so calming lying in bed listening to the sea ...check in was easy ...jacuzzi bath was bliss....kitchen so well equipped ..we had everything we needed ..highly reccomend one of the best I’ve stayed in through airb&b.

  • Phil's apartment is a great place to stay. It is modern and well decorated, nice and light and spacious. We were 6 adults staying there and it never felt crowded. The kitchen is very well equipped. It is in a great location in the small village of Torcross, couple of minutes walk from the local pub, The Start Bay inn . The pub is cozy and the food is good lots of specials available and a regular menu. There is also a coffee shop plus another cafe that serves food but both of these were closed after around 4pm. All have sea views. If you like walking this is a great location, literally walk out of the building and you have coastal walks in either direction. Slapton Sands is a great stretch of beach plus you have a freshwater lake with lots of wildlife which you can see from the window of the apartment. There is also a farm shop with a cafe/restaurant just a few minutes drive away. Beesands is a village close by which is a 1/2 mile walk away where there is a lovely cafe and another pub. We stayed for the new year so at night it is not ideal to walk there but it would be great during the summer. Just a note the apartment has two floors and is located on the upper level of an old renovated hotel building, although the master bedroom is on the lower level it is not at ground level.

    Stephen2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent house! We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a spacious house, and it is very well equipped. Everything was very clean on our arrival. The location couldn’t be better, it is right next to our favourite beach. A perfect place to stay with the family over the holidays. Thank you so much!

  • A great location for a week in Devon & the apartment is exceptional. On a wet day we were very happy to chill out in the lounge with a few movies :)

    Libby2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely views from every window and the sound of the ocean at night makes a comfortable stay. It’s worth noting the apartment sits meters away from a coastal path which offers an array of adventures in both directions. It’s great a for a group, family, or in our case as a couple looking for a quiet escape with a chance to eat well, brave June’s chilled ocean waters and walk the coastline to Start Point light house. Meeting friendly locals and dining at the local pubs has been a recurring highlight at Slapton. The Penthouse is a super base to adventure out of or just bunker down and relax.

    Paul2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The appartement was as expected modern and stylish with everything you need for a home from home. We stayed here with 4 people and had a wonderful time. • We had a brilliant stay in the static caravan which has a lovely private garden surrounding it and is very well located. It was a short walk to East Prawle for for some food at the Pig's Nose which is a brilliant pub, also close to the Piglet Cafe for an amazing breakfast. The caravan was spotless and very well looked after and our family really enjoyed every minute of our stay. It is also close to the lovely East Portlemouth beaches (just a short drive) and also it is well worth walking to the local beach near East Prawle which is wild and beautiful. and good for rock pools. Marilyn was a very good host, we loved the scones and wine waiting for us on our arrival and she was very fast at communicating. We will happily return next year!

  • This is a beautiful part of the world: stunning coastline, country lanes and picturesque villages and unspoilt beaches. We really enjoyed the location and having a private garden. The caravan was comfortable and we had everything we needed, as well as some welcome extras on arrival! Our hosts were kind, friendly and helpful and also respected our privacy. We would definitely go back!

    Kathryn2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say anything about the place, only about Marilyn, because we didn't go. We had to cancel because my husband got ill. During the whole process of booking and canceling we experienced Marilyn as a very friendly, open and caring person. Definitely someone we would like to meet some day!!!

  • Lovely little seaside cottage with great traditional touches. Cosy living room and well equipped kitchen. We also liked the walk in shower which was great after a muddy / sandy walk. Fab pub a 5 second walk away and yummy fish and chips at Britannia a few more doors away. We were glad of the location as my hubbie didn't have to shuttlebus to and from the south Devon marathon, perfect.

  • Spent a cozy few days in January here, just as we imagined and lovely to have use of the open fire, or the electric log burner as an option. Very well equipped throughout, with everything we needed. Couldn't get much closer to the sea! Friendly pub, dog friendly, just four doors away. Lovely quiet area with hardly any traffic noise due to a no through road. Woke up to the sound of waves crashing, such a treat if you live in the middle of the country. We'd certainly book again, prompt communication from the hosts if you had any questions. Thank you!

    Sharon2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect, the little cottage was even better than we expected, quaint and cosy but really well equipped. The open fire place was the icing on the cake, and made for the perfect Christmas atmosphere. Beesands is lovely, isolated and quiet (well, at Christmas anyway ;-) ) we didn’t try it but the local pub looked great. Some really good walks up on the coastal path, and some challenging runs if you happen to be a trail runner! Can’t fault Trish and Lloyd either, excellent, prompt communication and all the information we needed. Really good hosts, with some very thoughtful little touches. Very highly recommend!

  • Lovely little cottage and in keeping with its character. Really close to coastal path with lovely walks

    Katharine2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cottage in a wonderful location. Very well equipped and cosy with everything you need. Beesands is delightful And we had quite forgotten such unique locations still exist! Thanks so much to our hosts; we hope to visit again

  • Wonderful stay with the family in the countryside! We’ll be back to visit Apple Barn again

    Aoife2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Apple Barn. The location is fantastic - out in the country yet close enough to Salcombe if a burst of town life is needed. The house was great and exactly what we needed with the views from the back garden especially impressive. The housekeeper was also quick to respond when we contacted her. Overall we have a very enjoyable stay and would recommend Apple Barn to others.

March's Nook is a quiet studio barn tucked away in my sun trap garden. It has a shower room, sitting area, and small kitchen equipped with fridge, combination microwave, toaster, kettle and an induction hob. It also has a decked area outside. It is 1 mile from Slapton Sands, 7m from Salcombe. It is also on the bus route to Plymouth and Dartmouth. Parking is on street but the guest can park to unload. This aonb has a wealth of first class eateries, and wonderful unspoilt beaches
I can welcome two small dogs at a charge of £10 per booking per dog. I'm really sorry, the Nook is not suitable for children.
Marches Nook dates back to the 13th centuary. It is in a quintessential English village with a pub and post office. It is one mile from the historic Slapton sands and the Devon coastal path, but there are plenty of country walks as well. Devon with its rolling green hills and unspoilt beaches is my slice of heaven
  • This is a wonderful place to stay. It is very peaceful and has everything you need. There are so many places to visit, lots of beaches and great walks away from any crowds. Marian was a great host and very welcoming.

Escape to the country and find sanctuary in our two-hundred year-old, newly renovated, two-room cottage, situated at the end of a peaceful farm courtyard, with a secluded and enchanting private garden, and views over pasture fields that run down to the sea and the fabulous beaches of South Devon.
At Rose Cottage, luxury beckons everywhere you look: contemporary oak furniture, heated slate floors, a comfy leather sofa and original art on every wall. The spacious bedroom has a kingsize bed with crisp, 400-count cottons, a large basin and dresser, and a positively decadent marble-tiled ensuite bathroom with power shower. The living area is cleverly designed to make use of every bit of space, and incorporates a fully-equipped kitchen, a wood burner for colder evenings, and HD TV with DVD and satellite. Three sets of French doors ensure the cottage is filled with light whatever the weather, and give direct access from both rooms to the cottage's private garden: a flagged and graveled patio area with outdoor dining facilities and barbecue, a terrace planted with mature trees, shrubs and ground cover, and a well stocked herb garden for guests’ use. A gate at the end of the garden opens onto our own pasture, with views to fishing village of Beesands a mile away, where an excellent pub and an award-winning fish restaurant will delight even the most jaded of appetites. Wake to the sound of the cock crowing. Collect your own eggs for breakfast, and try some home-cured bacon from our free-range black pigs. Fill your time lounging in the garden, collecting shells on the beach, swimming in the sea, surfing, cycling, horseriding, or just pottering about the quiet country lanes between the cottage and the coast. At the end of another busy day, as the evening draws in and dusk descends on the farmyard, sit back with a glass of something or other and listen to the sounds of the countryside putting itself to bed – the pheasants calling as they fly home to their roosts, or the first hoot of our resident tawny owls. In a few hours the stars will be out and, untrammelled by city light pollution, set to put on a magnificent display.
The South Hams, Devon's own riviera, boasts some of the most unspoilt coastline on the English coast: its sweeping bays and secluded coves, including the promontories of Start Point and Bolt Head, along with the lower Avon and Dart valleys, form the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Many miles of safe, award-winning beaches offer swimming, rockpooling, and sunbathing opportunities, while watersports - particularly surfing, windsurfing, sailing, waterskiing and parasailing - are popular and widely available. There are facilities for golf, sailing, horseriding, tennis, and river- and sea fishing all within 30 minutes' drive of the property. Walkers and their dogs will appreciate the attractions of miles of quiet lanes, footpaths, bridleways, and the renowned South Devon Coast Path, while stargazers will glory in the complete absence of artificial light, which makes the Milky Way regularly visible with the naked eye. The area is hugely popular with birdwatchers: Start Point is on a major migration route, Slapton Ley is an overwintering spot for overseas visitors, and the rare Cirl Bunting can be spotted on the farm. South Devon is at the cutting edge of the Good Food revolution in the UK and there are superb eateries to be found in every town and village. Fish and seafood are a speciality in the many fishing villages along the coast, and there are a number of establishments where you can pick your choice from the slab or tank and have it prepared, cooked and served to your table while you wait.
  • Idyllic location, spotlessly clean property, friendly and helpful hosts, will definitely recommend to friends and family.

    Bev2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage, in a beautiful location. A short drive down narrow lanes leads to the coastal path, with Dartmouth and Kingsbridge close by.

  • Lovely little cottage, with a log burner and it’s own garden, which was perfect for our dog. Comfy bed and good shower too. The hamper was a nice little touch and being able to buy extra free range eggs, bacon and sausages - all produced on the farm itself - made breakfast an environmentally-friendly delight!

    Chris2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely winter stay at Rose cottage. Everything you require for 2 plus dog! Great location for getting to east and west beaches in the Salcombe area of Devon. Hospitality basket with eggs, milk, home made bread and marmalade was a real treat. Firing up the wood stove each night left us warm and cosy. Would highly recommend.

  • A quiet, comfortable haven in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The accomodation was spotlessly clean and a comprehensive welcome hamper awaited us on our arrival. The cottage has everything you need for a secluded get-away and is within a short drive of several starting points for stunning coastal walks. Piers and Sue are great hosts - happy to leave you to your own devices or to offer advice if requested. They also sell their own truly delicious bacon and sausages...

    Peter2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Piers and Sue for a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage. We really enjoyed staying in such a beautiful and serene cottage in such a pretty part of Devon. We appreciated both the generous hospitality (including the welcome hamper!) and great advice provided for local sites and walks. We really enjoyed staying on the farm and having access to local produce throughout our stay. A great place for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and we look forward to staying at Rose Cottage again in the future.

  • Beautiful location and wonderfully cosy barn! Susie was extremely kind and accommodating, we had everything we needed! Amazing place to stay if you’re exploring Dartmoor or nearby, with a lovely fireplace to look forward to afterwards. Shower was excellent and beds were super comfy. Thank you! :)

  • Susan’s place is a very pretty and cosy place to stay, well located close to Kingsbridge, Salcombe, and Dartmouth. All our favourite places! And the beautiful sponge cake and milk in the fridge when we arrived were gratefully received! Would 100% stay here again!

  • What a beautiful cottage and wonderful hosts. Brilliant local tips about restaurants, pubs, walks and they were also kind enough to let us use their kayaks to explore the estuary. The welcome cake was a lovely touch too.

  • Our stay with our 8 month old son was wonderful. The barn had everything we could need and a pile of maps (plus walks). Susan was very helpful and made a delicious welcome cake, just what we need after a long day out and about.

  • We had a lovely stay at Susie’s place. So peaceful and cosy. Fabulous welcome cake too! Would definitely recommend staying here.

  • We had a wonderful few days staying at this idyllic location. Susie was extremely thoughtful providing us with a welcome cake! The location was wonderful but if you aren't used to driving in little country roads can be a little stressful. But it was totally worth it. The surrounding areas are so picturesque and the walk to the local pub is only 15 mins walk and the food and hospitality is wonderful. They even provide a lift home so you can enjoy your night. But very advisable to book. The accommodation is so lovely and the small touches of fresh flowers were very much appreciated. It was very quiet and it was so nice to be able to look up and enjoy the stars at night. We were very comfortable here and I could not recommed staying here more. It was fantastic! Thank you so much!

    Deb2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage and village, and Susie and her family are wonderful hosts.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Susie and Robert's converted barn. They were extremely hospitable and made us feel so welcome. They went out of there way to help us and we could not have asked for better hosts. The place is so peaceful and tranquil, and the accommodation was perfect for our small family. Gorgeous beaches are within a short drive. I would not hesitate to recommend this place, and we very much hope to return.

The Stables was converted in 2019 from the old stable block at Beeson Farm, South Devon. Blending rustic and contemporary elements this holiday cottage is less than a mile from the beach and pub and has its own private garden. The ideal hideaway for exploring the south Devon coast, the popular waterfront towns of Salcombe, Dartmouth and beyond.
Situated in a small, quiet village just inland from the sea. Beeson Farm is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy access of the South Devon coastline, South West Coastpath and innumerable beaches.
  • The stables is a beautiful renovation to modern standards, set in a lovely farm courtyard. The farm is in close proximity to beesands beech with its spectacular views and great walks. If anything, the photos don't do the house justice. Be warned about the local roads which are very narrow, so easier to navigate in the light!

    Josh2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful accommodation, the pictures really doesn’t do it justice! All features to a high standard, very clean and new with a lovely cosy feel! We didn’t want to leave! Close to the beach with pub and restaurant, so perfect for a mini break. Would definitely return

    Sarah2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Photos don’t do the accommodation the full credit. It’s beautiful, lovely and very peaceful location. It will be even better when the outside garden area is complete-only saying that because of the dog. Everything in the kitchen is accommodated. Plus having not to take towels and bedding is perfect.

    Alison2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this property as it was in a quiet location within walking distance of the beach, pub and restaurants. The property was spotlessly clean. There was good storage and plenty of hangers in the bedrooms and the beds were comfortable with good linen. Everything was new and fresh. We loved playing the board games on wet days and the ping pong table next door was a bonus, as well as the badminton net on the lawn. The general information about the local area was excellent. I would stay here again.

    Karen2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • When we visited the Stables they had recently been refurbished to an incredibly high standard. Very clean and very tastefully decorated/ furnished. Perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids with more than enough space. The Stables are in a beautiful, rural location, great to explore South Devon. Very peaceful and quiet. We had an amazing holiday and would love to go back soon ! Thank you Louise!

    Paul2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at The Stables. The house was beautifully furnished and sparkling clean. There was a great book full of advice on local amenities and places to visit. This is a great place for children: the house had stairgates and a small selection of toys, which our 3-year-old loved. There was an outdoor play area with climbing frame, sheep, guinea pigs and chickens and we loved spending time there. This was a lovely place to stay and we'd really recommend a visit.

Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Very close to the high street as well as parking and a supermarket. Had an amazing time

    Adil2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in salcombe and very central to all shops and restaurants. Our favourite place to eat was Bearz and became a daily favourite for breakfast! Plenty of parking at the large car park 5 minutes away, never an issue to get a spot. Place to unload by the house for a couple of minutes however which made life a bit easier. A comfy double bed and great shower. I would certainly recommend

The Haven is a tucked away spacious home over looking idyllic Devon countryside towards the sea. Coast path walkers and beach seekers form our most frequent passers by with only the very occasional motorised vehicle finding its way past our gate. Beeson is a small, picturesque village half a mile from Beesands beach or it's a five minute drive to Torcross beach with its popular Start Bay Inn, cafe and bistro. Glorious Dartmouth is only 15 minutes drive further along the spectacular coast road.
We love our home. It's only a few miles from some of the most beautiful beaches in England....sandy stretches to wild and rocky seascapes. It is also a perfect spot for bird watching. We have seen buzzards, swans, geese and even a few inquisitive ducklings to name but a few from our front porch. A short stroll down to Widdecombe Ley and Beesands beach gives even more opportunity to see wildlife including seals that come close to shore to charm onlookers! Families with children will be able to use the garden toys and we also have a large range of table top games tucked away ready to bring out of required. Peace and tranquility is easily restored if you are looking for a calmer stay.
Beeson is a beautiful tranquil, friendly place to live and we are delighted to be able to share our home with you.

  • Great little place in lovely location (near coastal path) with epic wood burner

    Scott2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is super cosy and having a log burner on a chilly day really makes a difference. The cottage was warm, comfortable and super clean. The area is beautiful and being so so close to the sea was perfect.

  • Jasmine cottage is a fantastic cottage in a great location, nestled in a valley with spectacular views over towards the sea. The cottage has everything that you would need, it is a real home from home, the log burner is also a great centre piece for the winter nights. There’s is also air conditioning for the summer months. In addition to the views there is also the extensive grounds with woods included, we thoroughly enjoyed walking around these but more importantly our two dogs enjoyed it more, this was also a great bonus as not many places will except more than one well behaved dog. Last but not least the host Kim went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable and enjoyable one, she was very quick to answer any questions we had and also granted our request for a late check out.

  • Beautiful location, beautiful cottage, sparkling clean. Had a lovely time in Jasmin cottage and would without doubt book again. Excellent Airbnb :-)

  • We had an excellent stay during a cold and wet October. Started with really good instructions to the cottage (down some single track roads with makes fun driving and so easy to get used to, all drivers seem so to be respectful on these roads here). The book of tips and places to visit were well used. We found the cottage to be an excellent location, very cosy and Kim was very communicative and warming. The log burner was really good (with super instructions of how to optimise). The cottage had all of the things needed for a good stay!

    Ming2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful setting and a lovely cosy cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Thank you for a fabulous weekend.

    Dane2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jasmine Cottage was a charming little house (the middle terrace of three properties) tucked into a beautiful valley, surrounded by gorgeous wild gardens with views down to the sea at Hallsands. It's an ideal location if you want to get off the beaten track and hear nothing but birdsong and sheep! Be aware that's quite a drive down long and winding single track roads to reach it. Perfect for accessing the South Devon coastal path on foot. Great to be able to bring a dog. The house is simple and just want is needed - well equipped kitchen, log burner in the cosy sitting room, outdoor seating area. Bring all your provisions so you can avoid getting back in the car to go shopping! Kim was very quick to reply to messages with offers of help if needed. Recommended without hesitation!

  • Fantastic location and beautifully finished house on the beach front. The interior of the house is top notch and makes great use of the space. Particularly enjoyed the Sonos speakers, wood burner and cosy dining room. The two eating spots The Cricket Inn and Britannia on the beach were both fantastic and picturesque walks along the South West coast path in both directions. I’d highly recommend a stay in Phil’s house!

  • A truly beautiful and spacious home right on the water and very close to the local restaurants. Amazing views, excellent amenities, comfortable beds, modern kitchen, and a stunning view from each room. A fantastic place large enough to host our family. If coming this way I can unequivocally recommend this home.

  • A lovely modern/stylish house in an amazing an amazing location! The views from the bedrooms are fantastic, so nice to wake up in the morning having a cup of tea looking out over the sea!! There is also a fab pub just a few minutes walk down the road that serves fresh fish which I couldnt recommend enough! The whole family had an amazing time especially our little one. There are also great dog walks along the coast. Would 100% recommend a great house and a great location!! 😊

  • The only thing I think people need to be aware of is that the road to this house was a bit tricky. Single lane for around 2 miles to get to the house. You have to reverse back some time to let others pass. We were not comfortable to drive out of the house in the late evenings. But a beautiful spot! and we loved it.

  • Wow what an outstandingly beautiful and peaceful spot with the beach closeby. We enjoyed walks directly from Driftwood along the coastal footpath.... stunning views. Would recommend getting a book with circular walks....we enjoyed several long walks. I would highly recommend if you are looking forward to getting away from it all. Very peaceful spot. Wonderful cosy home with all we needed. Many thanks.

  • We had a fantastic week at Driftwood. The location is perfect if you like getting away from everything. We enjoyed exploring the coast path in both directions which runs just past the bottom of the garden. The bedrooms and lounge area have been furnished to a really high level, with stylish and very comfortable beds and sofas. The heaters meant the house stayed warm and cosy even in cold stormy weather. There are lots of god utensils in the kitchen although the appliances are a bit dated, but we catered for six of us comfortably all week. I would highly recommend a stay here.

    Emma2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • It is a wonderful unique place! Would come again and again! Great house, great area!

    Danni2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Positioned right by the sea, Driftwood is a home away from home that has all the essentials that you may need during your stay. The property is outdated in places, but it is cosy and welcoming. The new modern bathroom and separate toilet are all new and updated, including a nice shower and a good sized bath that is easy to get in and out of. We were greeted with brand new towels and comfortable bedding. Everything is labelled with ‘how to use’ signs, so it makes the appliances and boiler etc. Easy to figure out how to use them. The cleanliness of the property is good, the surfaces, floors, bedding and bathrooms are well cleaned. However, more detail needs to be taken when cleaning things that aren’t touched so regularly, such as dusting the heaters and making sure there are no sticky finger marks on the glass doors. The garden surrounding the property is looked after well. The views from the property are gorgeous, the beach is a stones throw away and there are lots of public footpaths for you to go and walk along. The host was easy to contact and responded quickly. I would happily stay here again.
