Places to stay in Felixstowe
Trickers Mill is a 5 storey Grade 2 listed Tower Windmill with its own private courtyard located in the heart of Woodbridge close to the Market Square. The ground and first floors have been converted to provide fabulous accommodation for two people.
You will have a unique experience as there are no other habitable windmills in Woodbridge.
The Mill is just minutes from the Market Square where there are numerous boutique shops, bars, pubs and restaurants. A further stroll down the hill brings you to the bustling Thoroughfare with a further variety of shops, eateries and bars. We love Honey and Harvey for a light lunch and The Table for great evening meals . Walks along the Deben river wall with views of the Tide Mill are also enchanting.
  • An amazing view, great location, fantastic place to stay with great facilities.

  • Fantastic building to stay in! A one of a kind experience, very enjoyable!

  • Had a fantastic stay at Trickers mill for our anniversary. Great property, very homely and cozy. Felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Very clean property with grat views over the river. Would highly recommend staying here! Loads of restaurants and shops near by, and having a garage to keep the car in was great. Many thanks for a great stay.

  • The Mill was a great place to book a surprise birthday stay, definitely the wow factor! The accommodation is extremely comfortable, cosy and warm in winter. Thanks to Tessa"s extra touches of bread & milk and pretty flowers to feel right at home. The views from the top floor are well worth seeing if you are happy to ascend the top ladders. Tessa was wonderful to communicate with & offer recommendations as we didn't know the immediate area. Woodbridge is a very pretty town, lovely shops to browse and lots of lanes everywhere to wander and see where it takes you. We would love to return to Woodbridge and the Mill again. Thank you for rescuing and renovating it to share with us!

    Angela2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What can you expect from a stay at the mill? Expect to be wowed. It is a truly unique place. Many original features are preserved, whilst having all the comforts modern life needs. If you feel slightly adventurous, be sure to climb the stairs to the top of the mill. Woodbridgeis a nice quaint little town with lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. We had an awesome time in an awesome place. Thanks Tessa! I can honestly recommend a stay here.

  • We had a very special Valentine's weekend at the Mill. It was such a different experience. The place was very clean and to a high spec. Perfect location to access shops and a great restaurant, The Galley, which was 2 minutes walk away. Also walking distance to the Tide Mill. I have recommended the Mill to all my friends. Hope to come back again soon. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • A wonderful unique experience. We loved staying here and exploring the top of the mill. The space is lovely and very well furnished. We had a delicious lunch at the gastro pub The Unruly Pig and a wonderful experience at the Solebay Fish Company. The seafood here is just out of this world. We loved arriving at this ‘shack’ in the middle of nowhere... I would definitely recommend staying here.

Unique houseboat with stunning river views across to National Trust site, Sutton Hoo. Just a 5 minute walk from Woodbridge's thriving town centre with great pubs, cafés, restaurants, independent shops & cinema. 10 minute walk to train station (90 mins to London). Kitchenette, shower, toilet, sun deck, WiFi, TV/DVD BBQ and free parking available.
Sea Rover is a houseboat with a difference. Located on the River Deben overlooking the historical site, Sutton Hoo. Great for bird-watching, fishing or just gazing out across the river. Just a 5 minute walk into Woodbridge where you will find fabulous pubs, cafés, restaurants, independent shops. and cinema. The boat is bright and spacious, 'a floating studio'. Double sofa bed in the main space and a single on the lower deck, so comfortably sleeps 3. Kitchenette (electric hob, fridge and microwave and grill), shower/toilet, TV, radio and DVD player all on board and a wonderful sun deck. Please take note that as this is a boat the shower is not a power shower and the washroom space is small. Also there are a few steps into the main part of the boat and several steps to the shower/toilet and lower bunk bed. There is a BBQ in the white seat box on the front of the boat and a picnic area next to the mooring. Bikes are also available. Exclusive use of the houseboat and sundeck. Use of the picnic/BBQ area next to the mooring. A welcome and introduction to the boat. We can be contacted by mobile anytime during your stay. An idilic spot with incredible views across the river and just 5 min walk from a fabulous selection of restaurants, pubs, cinema, swimming pool/gym and independent shops. Also just 10 min walk from the train station (90 mins to London). Suffolk's best beaches are just a bus ride away as is the concert hall at Snape for incredible dance, music and festivals. 10 min walk to train station (90 mins to London Liverpool St and 15 mins to Ipswich). Regular bus service to Aldeburgh (seaside town), Snape (concert hall/festivals and independent shops) and Felixstowe (seaside town). Sea Rover is a boat and staying on her is different to being on land. She is very sturdy and doesn't rock about but she will slightly sway when the tide is high. Please take care when getting on and off her when she is floating. As the River Deben is tidal, high tide is every 12 hours and the boat will be floating for 2-3 hours during this time.

  • Jo was brilliant she went over and above for us. The boat was fun and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Woodbridge is beautiful, people friendly and helpful. The boat is well equipped and very clean. Jo made sure we were happy with everything and was on hand if we needed anything. Would definitely 100 percent recommend.

    Sandra2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jo’s place is quirky, has everything you need for a tranquil and restorative break. Beautiful walks along the river, good pubs and cafes a stroll away. Soooo quiet which was truly appreciated. Don’t expect 5* mattresses - it’s a different experience to hotel stays but has so much more to offer.

    Sue2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing. Jo was so helpful and thoughtful, she gave us some lovely recommendations of things todo and checked in on us but was not intrusive at all. The location and views were stunning and the boat itself was cosy and homely. The boat was very well equipped with some lovely extra touches added by Jo. My first experience using air BnB and Jo was the best host we could have ever asked for.

    Vickie2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most lovely little boat to stay on. Jo is a wonderful host, welcoming, helpful but not intrusive at all. The boat itself is very clean and well equipped with anything you could need for a stay and there was still plenty of space, it wasn’t cramped at all. The beds are so comfy and the boat is a well decorated, cozy home. The area is quiet but lovely and the people so kind, especially others in the boat yard who are also welcoming and helpful. My best friend and I had the most wonderful three days here before we separate for university and will definitely be returning! Amazing!

    Anna2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! The boat was so lovely and cosy, and had everything we needed for our stay: comfy beds, plenty of bedding, tea and other essentials. The location is perfect: such a beautiful and peaceful place to wake up. Plus, Jo was a perfect host, making sure we arrived OK and giving us some great local tips. We will definitely return!

    Betsy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful boat in a tranquil spot - the perfect getaway. So much to see and do in Woodbridge then back to the boat for total calm - so cosy and comfy and so well equipped and lovely touches such as croissants cherries and tea and coffee - and Jo is a fabulous host - did not want to leave

    Julia2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • wonderful location. Peaceful, beautiful views. Fantastic opportunity to be at one with nature.

    Kay2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • The boat was really well equipped and bigger than I expected. The tidal aspect of the river is quite odd - no water for hours then you're up and floating for a bit - good fun! Lovely to sit on deck, people watching on the tow-path. We ate at the Unruly Pig - amazing meal and a nice 40 min walk to get there and walk if off afterwards!

I have stayed here a number of times and its cosiness is its charm, if you need to go to Ipswich Hospital or Copleston School both are within walking distance. • Good bed and accommodation, fab bathroom and convenient location for central Felixstowe.

    Peter2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent place to stay if you are visiting Felixstowe. The location is very central and Lou is a lovely host. Only downside is that parking is difficult to find around there because it is so central but not much of a hardship to find somewhere to park nearby. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

    Mick2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • i struggled mildly upon arrival to find a park on the street (given it was a saturday), but once i got inside i was welcomed so warmly by lou, and had a most wonderful stay. the bed was super comfortable, both the bathtub and shower were incredible, not a single fault to the place - even the towels smelled good. if i ever find myself down this way again i can only hope lou’s airbnb is available. highly recommended. thank you again lou x

Convenience is the word for our cosy flat in peaceful Felixstowe. Five minutes from the seafront, tennis club, and town centre.
  • Check in is incredibly easy. The flat is spacious and has everything one could need. We have been both in winter and summer and we’re very comfortable both times. Location is perfect in centre of town.

  • The flat was lovely with all the things you would want for a self catering stay. The location was good close to both transport and the seafront and Susan responded well to our questions. 5/5 for us

    Andy2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Right from the start Susan was a wonderful host, really friendly and eager to help. The flat is in a great location. Check in was very simple and the flat is so well stocked that we didn’t need to rush out to get basics. Very comfortable and homely. We will definitely return.

    Julie2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Compact and perfectly placed for anything you want. Parking was safe in the alley behind, wifi also very good. If I have to go back to Felixstowe I'd return for sure.

  • The tidy flat was my haven in Felixstowe. Cozy and neat, it was the perfect place to retreat to while working on the boat at the boatyard. Only half a block to Tesco, the bank, the movie house and a lovely tea room called The Oaks. The waterfront is an easy walk, worth a look!

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Colin and his family and wouldn't hesitate to stay again next time I'm in Felixstowe. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious and the bathroom had just had a new power shower fitted which was excellent. A good location close to the A14 in a quite cul-de-sac, with amenities close by. Very highly recommended.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
  • Julie is great company and a fab host. Lovely home and room was perfect for my two nights stay

    Jade2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was superb. Julie's place is very comfortable and stylish, sparkling clean and set in a good residential area less than a mile from the town centre. We arranged with Julie to cook in her kitchen, which was a huge plus as we stayed for three nights and I don't get on with takeaways or eating out more than once a weekend! The bed is comfortably firm and the shower in the room is excellent. There is a small basin in the room but the toilet is in the shared bathroom, although this wasn't a problem as Julie uses the downstairs toilet when she has guests. Check-in and check-out were easy and there is off street parking in front of the house. Highly recommended.

    Paula2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Julie is a great host, very friendly and welcoming, immediately making me feel at ease. (My first Airbnb booking) Her house is lovely and everything is very clean. The bedroom is spacious and well equipped and bed is very comfortable. I slept really well! I was especially lucky to enjoy her delicious homemade fresh fruit salad for breakfast in the beautiful sunny garden. I am sure you won't regret booking with her

  • Lovely house and host. Don't hesitate to book. 5 🌟

    Derek2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely three-night stay with Julie. The bedroom was large, beautifully decorated with its own shower and wash basin. Everything was superbly clean. Julie was a great host - chatty, interested and extremely warm and welcoming. Julie went out of her way to be helpful to us including giving us a lift into town so we could visit our elderly relative the evening we arrived. Thanks again!

    Lily2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely restful stay with Julie who couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. The house is in a quiet area of Felixstowe and my room was very homely and overlooked the garden with a double bed, shower and sink. The room is simply decorated in a seaside theme. Julie allowed use of the kitchen although I only needed to make tea. We sat and chatted on her patio over a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit. It was a delight to meet her and hear of her travels.

    Rosemary2017-07-06T00:00:00Z

    Laura2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious clean caravan, excellently positioned within walking distance to the beach and Martello park - which my children really enjoyed. Easy 10 min walk to make use of the facilities at the sister site - early evening kids show and swimming pool. The double bedroom is a decent size and the bed comfortable. The site itself was pretty quiet and it was nice to be situated on the edge, however the noise from the Docks is constant so beware if you're a particularly light sleeper, we needed windows open due to the humidity at the time of our stay so was probably heard louder due to that! The caravan has an informative welcome info book - we loved The Regal for fish and chips supper and the view point cafe for breakfast. A pleasant stay, thank you.

This is a sunny Victorian cottage 4 miles from the Suffolk coast and Felixstowe. The house is light, airy and spacious. You will have a large single room with ensuite, use of the kitchen, your own cupboard and fridge/freezer space. There is a TV in your room and fast wifi. The parking is within the property, which is gated. You are welcome to bring your own food. I will offer toast and marmalade and tea/coffee for breakfast. The house is down a private track, away from the road.
Besides the landlady, there is another lady lodger and we all use the kitchen and the rest of the amenities.
There is a pub which does good food 1/3 mile from my house (down a lit road with footpath). There is also a farm shop with cafe open during the day about 500 yards from the house. If you enjoy going for walks, there is a lovely 1 mile walk through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to the River Orwell estuary where you can follow the coastal path to Trimley Marshes wildlife reserve.
  • I enjoyed very much stay in Sue house. Fully recommend this accomodation for everybody !!!

    Michael2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was a great host , had a wonderful stay at her home , felt like a retreat great location. highy recommended could not ask for more.

    Ersoy2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Susan gave me a very warm welcome. The single room was warm, clean and comfortable and the ensuite shower worked very well. There was a small multi channel TV in the room and good heating. Susan is an interesting and considerate host and provided a light continental breakfast which was a bonus I was not expecting. The local pub is a 10 minute walk and provides a varied and reasonably priced menu for evening meals. This was a great stopover on my way to Norfolk to visit family. Highly recommended and excellent value.

Delightful newly redeveloped one bedroom ground floor apartment in a two story property. Perfectly situated just 2 minutes stroll from the town centre or beach. Great restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. 10% WEEKLY AND 30% MONTHLY DISCOUNTS
Once inside, the open plan kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer. The living area has a comfy bed settee, high speed wifi and a 43" ultra 4k smart TV with Freesat and NetFlix. The sofabed can be made available if more than two people are booked, please advise us in advance so we can leave extra bedding. There is an additional cost for a third person. The bedroom has a kingsize divan bed with a comfy sprung mattress, and plenty of wardrobe space. The apartment has a modern shower room with extra large walk in shower.
Felixstowe's Edwardian heyday has left a legacy of many fine houses. The apartment was once part of a small private school in one such building. All newly redeveloped, the renovation was completed in October 2018. The town has some lovely independent shops and cafes as well as Tesco just a couple of minutes away. It also has a new pier development with a splendid restaurant and bar. In fact we are spoilt with many bars and restaurants within easy walking of the apartment. Felixstowe can also boast four Martello Towers, and a 18th century Fort with museum. You also have the opportunity to explore further afield with fine walks in either direction along the prom. Go North to Felixstowe Ferry, a quaint hamlet with a pub, cafe and foot ferry to Bawdsey Manor, the home of the development of Radar. South along the prom takes you to the viewpoint cafe, where you can watch the biggest container ships in the world being loaded and unloaded. Here you will also find the foot ferry to Harwich.
  • A tastefully decorated apartment with easy access to everything in Felixstowe. Very happy with our choice and would happily book again.

  • Judith and Mike are very friendly, response time was very quick, they were very flexible with check in/out times. The place is immaculate and cosy, location is superb, we walked everywhere. Indian restaurant less than 5 minutes walk called Blue Naan was superb and cafe on the cliff called Chilli and Chives was also very good for lunch and afternoon tea. Highly recommend

    Irene2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Judith’s apartment is absolutely a gem. It’s in a perfect location, close to the town centre and the seafront, and is very clean, stylish and comfortable. Judith and her husband gave us a warm welcome when we checked in, and offered flexibility with our checkout. Great value and lots of personal touches — highly recommended.

  • Beautiful little apartment perfect for 2 people, fabulous host. Enjoy.

    Marc2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • It is a fantastic place to stay. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and modern. Lovely big shower. The location could not be better in Felixstowe. Very close to both the town and the right end of the sea front. When chatting with the owners on arrival I commented on the great view of the sea from the front of the property. You also see the sea from each window at the front of the flat. If any Parkrunners are looking for somewhere to stay for the Felixstowe Parkrun, it is perfect. It is about a 3min walk to the start.

This newly renovated luxury flat is situated in the centre of Felixstowe, moments from the bars, restaurants and high street. Step out of the front door and walk down the steps onto the beach where you can enjoy the coastline or visit one of the many bars or restaurants situated along the promenade. The pier and leisure centre with swimming pool are also just a short walk away. Enjoy long walks on the beach, sample the local food or curl up in front of the fire with a good book and just relax.
The property has just undergone a full renovation and each room benefits from luxury furnishings, high ceilings, period features and a real sense of space and light. The bay window in the living room has an impressive view straight out over the sea so you can enjoy the view over breakfast at the dining table or with a cup of tea in the giant armchair. The living room also has a smart TV with access to Netflix and high speed broadband. The brand new kitchen has a cooker, hob, dishwasher and the freezer and washer dryer can be found in the WC. The newly installed bathroom has a bath with a raindrop shower, heated towel rail and backlit mirror. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable with luxury hotel standard towels, Egyptian cotton sheets and mattress toppers. The master bedroom is a larger than average room with a king size bed and marble fireplace. The car park is conveniently located on Ranelagh Road which is just a thirty second walk from the property. The property also benefits from it's own private entrance. We want guests to enjoy and respect this property the same way that we do.
Felixstowe is a delightful Edwardian seaside town with a vibrant town centre and a plentiful mix of attractions and activities for all ages and interests. The sea front is a charming place to explore, with pretty beach huts, four miles of beaches and plenty of provisions for all the family. You can have a go on the slot machines on Felixstowe Pier, and take the children for funfair rides, crazy golf and ten pin bowling at Mannings and Ocean Boulevard. Martello Park contains more exciting play areas for the kids. Be sure to try traditional fish and chips, or an ice cream made from the milk of Felixstowe’s own local dairy herd. The nearby Spa Pavilion is a recommended destination for evening entertainment. It’s always worth seeing what’s on as they have a plethora of choice throughout the calendar year, typically showing musicians, comedians and theatre. Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment! Stunning examples of Edwardian architecture are also to be found here, overlooking the seafront gardens which stretch for a kilometre of coastline. This is made up of a series of eight gardens. Take time to wander through the gardens on the ‘heritage trail’ and uncover many historical features and structures, nestled in a colourful and unusual selection of planting. At the Southern end of the town is Landguard Fort, one of England’s best preserved coastal defences. This fort has a labyrinth of passageways, rooms and viewpoints and is equally suited to curious children or earnest adults. Out this way you can also find the Felixstowe Museum, home to a fascinating collection documenting the history of the area. A nearby nature reserve is a great place for walks along its nature trail boardwalk, where you may see a rich diversity of flora and fauna. Meanwhile, a viewing area here offers spectacular views of the immense ocean-going cargo ships coming and going from the UK’s busiest port. To the North is the charming fishing hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, separated from the town by a golf course. This offers a full 18 hole course for the avid players, as well as a more casual (and slightly easier) 9 hole course. Both of these offer stunning views out to sea and the course is also played around a Martello tower. For the nautically inclined, Felixstowe Ferry Sailing club is an RYA approved training facility which provides sailing courses for all ages and abilities. Eating and drinking: The Alex Brasserie – This informal but chic venue offers fresh seafood, grill and classic brasserie style dishes. Open every day, the a la carte menu is complemented by a more sensitively priced set menu, available from noon until 6pm Monday to Friday. Enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Felixstowe’s south beach and one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes. The Ferry Boat Inn – Set in the hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry, this antiquated pub is of the old school. An ideal pub location for coastal or river walks, or to finish up after a round of golf on the neighbouring golf course, The Ferry Boat Inn offers home cooked traditional pub grub, real ales and a beer garden. Fish Dish – This spacious restaurant at the seafront has a spectacular view of the Pier and the sea beyond. As the name suggests, this place is celebrated for its award-winning fish and chips, although it’s menu stretches beyond that. Despite a strong focus on seafood, there are options to please meat eaters or vegetarians. The Fludyers Hotel Restaurant – The Fludyers is a stylish, vibrant place serving up fine traditional English and French cuisine. This is arguably the most scenic (and delicious) place to eat in Felixstowe, with heated terraces overlooking the sea. Ruby’s Kitchen – This charming little bistro cafe offers a selection of homemade classic meals as well as lighter sandwiches and cakes, at a very agreeable price. This stop off has seaward views and limited outside seating and is our top pick for a quick bite and a coffee. The Little Ice Cream Co. – Gorgeous handmade artisan ice cream using milk from a local dairy farm, as well as fabulous special treats, light lunches and lovely coffees.

We are a detatched bungalow set in 5 acres surrounded by open coutryside in an aonb on the suffolk coast. We are six miles from Woodbridge and 1 mile from Woodhall Manor. Local places of interest include ,Sutton Hoo,Snape Maltings, and Bawsdey Manor. Plenty of tracks and bridle ways for riding, cycling and walking.
A spacious home is what is on offer, you will have your own room with shared bathroom, there is also a separate loo. The kitchen-diner, lounge and conservatory are shared spaces with us. Our lifestyle keeps us outside most of the time, so the chances are we would not be getting 'under each other's feet'! With the colder months approaching, there is a lovely wood burner in the lounge to relax in front of.
  • Serene location, excellent hosts for local knowledge and a very hospitable stay. Would definitely recommend.

They shared some of their life with horses with us, and we really enjoyed their 3 dogs which are all very kind (if you are a bit afraid of animals you don't have to worry at all). Mattress were really comfortables and the bathrooms perfectly clean. Perfect access to the kitchen with all equipment you could need. So much choices for our breakfast, it was fantastic. • Alison is a lovely host and her flat is super clean, comfortable and perfectly located. All of her communication was quick, friendly, and she went out of her way to accommodate a timing change with our check-in, which was very much appreciated. Special little touches made it particularly great for kids (and pups!) We definitely recommend this property for couples and families, and it would be our first choice for future trips to Felixstowe. Thank you, Alison!

  • A lovely flat, really convenient for the shops, restaurants and the beach and pier - all within easy walking distance and, despite being right on the High Street, the flat is really quiet and peaceful. It's a first floor flat, so access is via stairs - something to be aware of. I feel it would be a bit small if all 7 were adults, though absolutely fine for adults with children. Host was very helpful and readily available, if needed. We had a great stay and will very possibly be returning! I would definitely recommend this flat to others.

This spacious holiday home boast stunning uninterrupted sea views where from two of the bedrooms you can enjoy the sun rise on your own balcony. It is in an ideal position for leisurely walks along the beach and up the promenade. Completed in 2016, the accommodation is spacious throughout and furnished in a contemporary style with modern bathrooms and a dream kitchen opening onto a raised deck with garden beyond – ideal for meals outside whether you’re enjoying a seaside holiday or short break.
What our Guest say “A lovely week spent at Martello Dawn for my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebrations, comfortable, spotlessly clean, great location, light and bright – Thank you” “We did enjoy the comfort and warmth of the accommodation. Very well equipped with every possible amenity. Wonderful sea views and walks – shame about the weather!” “We had a week of good weather in a lovely and most comfortable house which we would recommend. Many thanks” “Booked 3 night stay for men to fish, amazing weather, ideal location but unfortunately only caught 3 fish!”
There’s plenty to do during your stay at Martello Dawn both in the immediate vicinity or further afield with the popular Suffolk Coastal towns of Aldeburgh, Woodbridge and Southwold a short drive away, as is Constable Country Martello Park, where the house is located, is situated on the southern fringe of Felixstowe which itself is at the warmest end of Suffolk's Sunrise Coast. It is in easy walking distance of the delightful foot ferry across the River Orwell stopping at Shotley Point and then across the River Stour to Harwich Pier on the Essex side used by sailors and fishermen for decades. There’s a grassy park on the doorstep with wildlife areas, walking and cycling routes, playground, water play area (operational in warm weather), picnic area and two kiosks offering delicious home made cakes, traditional seaside fayre, ice creams and a range of refreshments. Felixstowe itself has lots to offer with a range of shops from Adnams – the famous local brewer and distiller – through to the iconic Marks & Spencer's, plus a good selection of independent restaurants, many with sea views. Felixstowe is unique among Suffolk seaside resorts, having both a rail station and motorway standard road connections to London, the Midlands and the North. Visit the Martello Tower opposite the house; the Pier and amusements; Edwardian gardens, Palace Cinema, Languard Fort, bird watching at the nature reserve and observatory, catch a ferry to Bawdsey or visit the town centre where you’ll find a variety of eateries and shops.
  • Great modern house with everything we needed - comfortable lounge and very well equipped kitchen. Good bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Loved having a super king size bed in the main bedroom (same as at home, so not the usual smaller bed we have to use when staying away). Great location with sea views and easy access to the waterfront for easy walks along the front. No problem with communication with Best of Suffolk, all very straightforward. Will definitely look to stay here or in another Best of Suffolk property when we’re back in the area.

  • Had a great weekend stay in February. The flat is well equipped and clean and it’s in a great location a few minutes walk from both the beach and the town centre. Particular shout out to the host Dave for giving us some great restaurant tips and also for making an amazing running map so I could keep up my marathon training. Much appreciated!

  • We stayed at David’s place for the weekend and absolutely loved the flat. The decor is really stylish and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen was well- equipped and we found everything we needed. The flat is moments away from town, the beach and some lovely cafes. We would definitely visit again!

  • I am an old local of Felixstowe and must say the location is perfect. I flew in from Boston and David on short notice was able to get me early check in which was huge for me. The flat was more than I expected had about 15 family over for take out one night and we all seemed to fit comfortably. He’s right there by text if you need him aswell. Few steps up but my 68 yr old mom was able to do it fine. Smart TVs to log into your Netflix prime accounts too. Dishwasher laundry in kitchen and literally as it says minutes walking to town or seafront. Check out Prezzo Restaraunt while there! Thanks again David!

  • Had a great stay with my children from Fri to Mon. Great location and the accommodation was very clean!

  • Amazing place for a cozy and affordable get away. Great host and I would definitely stay again. The only downside was the beds were not very comfy but the host has told me they will be updated very soon! Couldn’t recommend this place enough for the price we paid 😁

    Logan2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant place to stay, couple minutes walk from the beach and amusements. Would highly recommend.

  • Felixstowe Caravans provided everything that was needed for a warm, comfortable stay during a cold wet winters week.

    Simon2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • A well-equipped caravan, perfect landlords who take care of all problems quickly, good access to public transport. The beach is 5 minutes away. There's a Lidl and a McDonalds nearby. The city of Felixstowe can be reached by bus in 10 minutes (6 stops) or by a 20 minute walk along the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much.

    Patricia2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Good caravan & location

    Robert2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My 2 daughters and I enjoyed a 3 night stay here recently and everything was better than expected. The caravan is well equipped with everything you need and the on-site amenities are enough to keep the young ones entertained, although we spent most of the days out and about exploring. I did not hear 24 hour noise from the docks, even at night, the odd train but nothing major.

  • Suki is a very friendly and nice hostess. The (small) room she rents is nice and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and an excellent bed. With a private bathroom at your disposal, it is a more than pleasant stay. As far as the kitchen is concerned, there is more than enough available for 'self-sufficiency'. I definitely recommend this accommodation and will want to use it again when in the area.

  • Fantastic bird's eye apartment overlooking Felixstowe sea front, ideally located for enjoying the beach, seafront and pier and a short walk from Hamilton Road's shops. Well equipped kitchen, amazing views from the sitting room (evening during storms!), and comfortable bedrooms.

  • The location of this place is perfect, a short walk to the town and an even shorter walk to the sea front and pier. The location could not be any better. The views from the apartment are amazing. The apartment is very clean and specious. Although close to the sea front the area is very quiet. I would highly recommend a stay here.

  • This was exactly what I needed. I was working 90 miles from home on a two day event. By staying local, it saved me the 4 hour journey home and back again. Amanda has thought of little things; like making plate, knife, fork, spoon and a chopping board available - so you could take an evening meal in with you. A nice clean "period" house, that reminded my of my Grandmothers farm house. Shower and toilet is within the same room and very modern. Extra blankets being available was a nice touch.

    David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A most comfortable night’s rest at Amanda’s, a stone’s throw from the coast. There is a nice atmosphere at the place and ample facilities for a solo traveller. Thanks Amanda!

This is a comfortable, clean and cosy 3 bedroom house situated in a quiet street in the centre of Felixstowe. There is off road parking for 2 smaller cars, plus street parking immediately in-front of the property. The rear garden is mainly laid to lawn and a patio area with furniture and a laundry line. Perfect for families or couples alike. The high street is at the end of this street, which is a 2 minute walk. The vast beach front, which stretches for 4 miles is also within walking distance.
The beach front is a mix of sand and shingle. There are beach huts, which are sometimes available for day rental. These details are available upon request. The theatre, pier and leisure centre with swimming pool are all situated along the promenade. This promenade makes for a fabulous walk, in particular at sunrise for those early birds.
The main supermarket is within a 5 minute walk at the end of the street. Felixstowe offers everything you need for a pleasant vacation. There is a super selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, both well known on the high street and independent. Albany Park is situated within a 5 minute walk, which has play apparatus and a large green area. There are many walks of varying distance right from the front door. The Port of Felixstowe is an interesting area to visit. Here you can also find Langard Fort, which has a cafe, the bird observatory and a small ferry to Harwich. At the opposite end of the coastline is Felixstowe Ferry, which has several eateries, a foot/cycle ferry to Bawdsey and stunning walks into the countryside. Other coastal towns are easily accessible via public transport or car, some of which are Woodbridge, Dunwich, Aldeburgh, Southwold and Lowestoft. In the other direction is Ipswich, which is 20 minutes by car and Colchester a little further. Felixstowe has its own theatre, cinema, bingo hall, leisure centre and pier, which again are all within a short walk.

  • We had lovely rest and a wonderful break. The house was really nice, clean with some thoughtful touches. Loved the welcome pack and Ethiopian coffee was very nice. Sarah’s recommendations were really helpful. We tried Benecotto and the Turkish restaurants. Both had good service and food and value for money. Totally recommend Sarah ‘s Airbnb.

    Yvette.2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We found Sarah's place immaculately clean and even better than it looks on the photos. We located it easily, with a sign by the front door so you know you are in the right place, and Sarah had given us clear entry instructions. We love her 'no shoes in the house' policy as it keeps the house clean from the word go, and even when we had been to the beach, the sand stayed in the porch! We felt very well cared for by Sarah's messages and welcome pack. Everything in the house worked really well and we felt at home there. There was a town map which was really handy. Sarah's house provided us with the base we needed in Felixstowe for a very special family reunion. It is handy to the high street, shops and beach of a very nice seaside town.

    Joy 2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s house was great. Location, extra touches, comfortable beds better than home! Great communication and easy to deal with 😊

  • Sarah’s house in felixstowe is in a lovely location, not far from the beach and right near the town too. She left a lovely little welcome pack with a little card to wish us a great stay and a few things to eat and drink too which was a really nice touch. The bedrooms were made up really well and the beds were very comfortable! There is a lovely big garden which is fantastic for small children to run about in, and overall, the house was very clean and we felt right at home for our entire stay. Highly recommended!

  • The caravan has great access to the beach with just a few minutes walk, and if you enjoy walking, you can go to many of the attractions in Felixstowe by foot: the Pier, Languard Fort, the good fish and chip shops, Felixstowe Port area and its cafe with view point of the ships being loaded. The town has it’s own little micro-climate and the sea front garden was particularly nice. The caravan was spotlessly clean, and in colder weather has an efficient heating system, plus a great shower! The owners are helpful if needed, and popped by the second day to see if all was well. It’s a great area to visit.

  • We had a good stay at the Leven house. A few months ago we were in La Vacanza, belonging to the same owner, both houses have the same style and care. Graham is a careful and responsive host. The communication with him is fast and fluid, solving at the moment any incidence that could exist. We need to leave the house a little later than the time that appears on the web and we had no problem negotiating with Graham an extension of schedules for an increase in the price.

A light and airy apartment that will easily sleep 6 people in 3 separate bedrooms. This apartment is within an historical golf club and just 2 minutes walk from the beach and a 10 minute walk from the pretty fishing hamlet of Felixstowe Ferry on the Suffolk coast.
  • We had a great time in Felixtowe. This apartment was right on the seafront, being part of the Golf Club. Although a little dated, it was very clean and spacious, great for a family or group of friends. The golf club also offer food and drinks which was a great for when we all arrived. Ann, our host was very quick to respond to any messages and extremely helpful. The walks and views were fantastic I would definitely book up again.

  • A great location for a couple of days away with the kids.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Ann's apartment. The location is stunning! Right on a beautiful golf course and a very short walk to the beach. We were able to enjoy fish and chips from the restaurant downstairs. Ann and David were gracious hosts and went out of their way to give us local tips and to make us feel at home. We highly recommend their place!

  • A beautifully located apartment just a stones throw from the beach. Communication prior to the booking was excellent and check in was easy. The flat is really spacious and had everything we needed for a mini break. Would definitely recommend.

  • This place is MASSIVE!! We were so pleased. Also it was so very clean. Everything we needed was there ie; cups plate and cutlery. We were pleased to find a welcome gift of milk, biscuits and a cake. Tea, coffee and sugar was also available. Staff on the premises were friendly and helpful. One evening we locked ourselves out and Ann's husband came to the rescue within 5 mins!! Would definitely recommend this place & host.

  • Lovely clean, comfortable, family friendly apartment in a great location. Close to the beach with lovely walks along to The Ferry. Plenty of space to spread out. We are a family of 5 but plenty of room for extras if you are happy sharing bedrooms. Very much as expected from the advertised description and good value for money.

The caravan is surprisingly spacious, with a large living room to accommodate the entire family during game nights. Of course, an open plan kitchen connects to the living room, so that you can easily get up and grab a cold one without missing a single moment of the X-factor! The bedrooms are also a couple of steps away, with the master bedroom located between the two twin single rooms. Access to all the amenities on site does require a day pass (£5 per person).
We’re a very large family who have always loved taking holidays altogether. Caravan parks have been our favourite and most efficient way to experience beautiful places allover the UK together, whilst also having the freedom to stay in our own ‘home away from home’ to do as we please! So, we decided that more people and families need to experience this. We give to you our caravan holiday rental! We specifically selected this caravan to fit the holiday needs of individuals as well as families. It is located on an up and coming park, and a blink away from the coast, where you can enjoy lovely picnics and beach days. Of course, if you would rather enjoy a football game instead of the X-factor our wonderful caravan is very close to a brand new bar which hosts Sky Sports action all year round. For the youngsters of the family, they can party it up every night at the kids club where they can enjoy ball games at the court, swimming at the pool, entertainment acts and crazy golfing! And, for our hiker guests (and romantics), the wonderful Blue Flag beach is just a stone’s throw away, perfect for sunset walks on the beach. Mi casa, su casa! The Andre’s
