The place is like entering the heart of the Alps, the house is ready and ordered everyone to feel at home. Worth every corner. The friendly people and helps you at all times to make your stay there is most enjoyable.

Very welcome

The cottage is really authentic. If you like the atmosphere "colo" and contact with people from all walks of life, I highly recommend this hostel! We had our baby with us and Martin provided all you need (high chair, games, etc.), it also has 2 children and appreciate the little ones!

The backpackers is super sweet - I booked obviously from Airbnb but the place is filled with work-aways so there's always people around and has a very friendly family atmosphere. Merlins family is adorable and if I ever needed anything I'd catch him when I saw him and he always fixed it up right away. There is access to many great hikes at chalet Martin as well as a short train ride away from bex or villiars (also walkable) where there are many shops and restaurants. The view is incredible. Nothing like waking up in the morning to drink coffee on the deck, laugh with my new international friends playing ping pong and have a smoke. You can take advantage of the coziness as I often did with a book in hand sitting by the fire. Or get an early start and participate in all this region has to offer. Would totally recommend chalet Martin :)

I had a great time at Chalet Martin. Merlin was really helpful throughout the process and even came to greet me as I arrived late in the dark. I had a really cute double bedroom with a spectacular view and a charming balcony. I had not realised it did not have an en-suite bathroom, but it was not an issue as it was close by and very clean. The atmosphere at the chalet reminded me of what I used to come across when travelling through YMCAs many years ago, except this was much better. Met some friendly travellers, some who are staying for the season and who no doubt I will come across during the winter on the slopes. The chalet is not far from the train stop so the access is convenient in order to go to Villars and neighbouring villages. Great value for young (and older) travellers. Very happy to recommend and encourage Merlin and his young family in this exciting venture!

We had such a wonderful stay at La Grotte ! Elena and Jerome made check in and out very easy and the place was just what we were looking for-- a lovely, well-furnished kitchen, a comfortable bed, and unparalleled location, right in the heart of the mountains. We especially loved the fresh water fountain right outside the door. Thank you for a great stay !

Though Elena and Jerome were away, we felt very welcomed in their place- from the information sheet they left on the table, to their very kind neighbors, we felt very much at home. They are super organized- the kitchen was fantastic, and though the place is small, it was exceptionally nice, well laid out and very beautiful. They have a great sense of design and style! The location was wonderful- just opposite a great, old fountain and church and not far from the train station.

Elena and Jerome have a charming, tidy, and very comfortable home in Gryon. Elena was very friendly, and responded quickly to my questions. I had a wonderful time visiting the area, and hope to return to the area soon. I would absolutely stay here again!

The apartment is really well laid out and very well decorated. The kitchen is really well equipped and ideal for a good meal. There is a small well-stocked shops nearby and lots of activities to do in the area. Unfortunately we have not met Elena and Jerome were in Sweden then.

Easy to find, perfect indication, impeccable accommodation, super fast response, how to say all was consistent and to feel good.

We had a great ski holiday in this apartment fully equipped, very comfortable and with an almost direct access to the slopes. The proximity of a ski equipment rental shop and a Cablecar makes the ideal corner. We were 9 people in total for the weekend and we did not feel was absolutely cramped. Even if we are not recontres us in person (the key is available thanks to a coded box) Florence was at our disposal that we had questions.

Great stay in this nice apartment in the Vaud Alps! Everything you need for a great vacation there. It is located on the Grand Place in La Barboleusaz. The balcony is very appreciated. The object is clean and in good condition. I recommend this apartment and its Loueuse!

Central Location. Very easy to park cars. A train is 2 min walk away to connect all villages and downtown train to Lausanne and Geneva. Ideally located near end of ski slopes. about 30 min drive from hot springs. The chalet by itself is awesome ! It has some style with all the wooden furnitures. Balcony offers a nice view on mountains. Fully furnished with kitchen, sofas, a lot of mattress ( the mezzanine is above the ceiling), even some ice skating shoes are left for us to enjoy! The check in system is smart and convenient ( we did not meet Florence). This year, the snow was very few but we could do a lot of activities in Gryon/Villars and down the valley. The place has a lot to offer ! I highly recommand the place for anyone looking for Alps' beauty while looking for a connection to transportation and cities.

Very nice week in this apartment fully equipped, comfortable and very well located in the romper. Very close to the start of the ski slopes, parking in front of the building, next to the train station, this is a great place. In addition, the bakery a few meters of housing is excellent! The apartment is nice, equipped with everything you need and it feels good. Perfect coordination with the owner, Mrs Florence Smadja for the key handover.

Overall our vacation experience was positive despite the fact that we were not very lucky with the weather. The listing described the apartment in an accurate way. In fact, when we got there the apartment appeared to be more spacious than I expected looking at the pictures. However design is a bit old. For example, the bathroom is quite small and there is no space to put hangers for ski jackets at the entrance. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. It even has italian style coffee makers which I haven't expected to find and brought from home. We also found a lot of essential things for cooking like sugar, salt, oil and such. I am sure this is much appreciated by people who come here from far. Downside of it for us was that there was almost no space left on the shelves for our stuff which we brought in the car from Geneva. Internet connection was very good. The neighbourhood is very quiet and good for a family with young kids as ours but may be boring for the teenagers or people who like to go out to eat in the evening. I skied in Gryon before but in a perfect weather. This time I have noticed that Gryon had fog and poor visibility while Villars had good skiing conditions. Obviously one week is not enough for solid conclusions but this was our experience(URL HIDDEN)

This stay and the host exceeded my expectations. The apartment is nice, clean and has easy access to the slopes (I had a rental car). The host had prepared personalized notes for me, with very clear instructions provided. She also offered snacks/food and was very nice to meet in person. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Villars.

Our stay at Francoise apartment was great. we arrived to the apartment at ~22:00 and Francoise lovely friend come and picked us up from the train station of villars-sur-ollon. the apartment was clean and had more than everything we needed. even a bassinet and a small bed for our kids (1.5 and 3 years old) . all the house facilities were in a perfect condition. the kitchen was well equipped (with all the dishes you need, a nesspreso machine, and a dishwasher). the morning was stunning as we see the amazing views from the apartment's garden: snowy mountains. the garden had a nice play yard for the kids to enjoy. and many animals around. there were plenty of things to do nearby, and Francoise was very informative for all the details. she even messaged us to inform us about local interesting activities in the village. we stayed 9 nights and enjoyed each minute of our stay. Surely we will come back.

We have been guests at Francoise's and Claude's chalet last week. They are an amazing warm couple, they welcomed us and helped with information regarding groceries, transportation, events and gave us even a ride. Communication was excellent, the view from the chalet is amazing. The apartment was cozy and clean and we found everything. We felt like at home and we will definitively come again :) Monika, kids and dog Hallo, wir waren zu Gast bei Francoise und Claude. Sie sind ein sehr sympathisches und herzliches Paar! Great hostel with lots of character. The little double room was lovely and light with comfortable bed. Merlin was very easy to deal with. The chalet creaks and isn't very soundproof so take earplugs if you are a light sleeper or want an early night.

One night away from everything and that makes a world of good! A warm welcome, friendly and ideal for a night or more. The room is a perfect hideaway. I highly recommend this Chalet !!

A beautiful chalet with absolutely amazing views. Make sure you have a meal on the patio overlooking the valley. Merlin and Jenna were very amiable hosts and made everything easy. After we came back up the hill having forgotten to buy wine, Merlin donated a bottle for our dinner. All our fellow travelers were very friendly and had interesting stories to tell.

We had such a great time in Gryon. The nature surrounding Chalet Martin is spectacular, definitely the highlight of our vacation. We were very happy with our stay. Merlin was more than accommodating, always checking with us if we needed anything and giving us all the information and maps etc. that we could use for our snowshoeing & hiking. The chalet is home to a few long termers, which makes it much more like a home than a hostel. Everyone was very nice and respectful. The space is super cosy and the bed comfortable. This room and the rustic room are both great and have everything you need. Would recommend!

One of my favorite places I've ever stayed. Everyone at the hostel was amazing, especially Merlin and Jemma. They made sure I had detailed instructions on how to get into town, were always around when I had questions and made me feel at home.

This apartment is great. It's well equipped and comfortable. It's got a great location for skiing and the view is amazing. The only downside is that it is not within walking distance of any restaurants, however it does have a fondue set and raclette machine so we didn't mind at all!

Very cozy apartment in the high-altitude holiday village. class views and stunning surroundings .. We really enjoyed it. Ideal for hiking and walking in nature. The apartment with balcony is quaint and very homey. The only downside the bed linen and towels must be rented separately many thanks.

If you like mountains, the scenery breathtaking in a cosi and warm place. We recommend that small apartment. A real nest super sy arranged to relax and enjoy the mountain. Really fantastic.

Great spot for a weekend! Fully equipped, comfortable apartment, including the balcony with stunning view. Tons of blankets to curl up in, a few games to play, movies to watch (mostly for kids), and video games to keep you and your friends/family occupied if the weather doesn't cooperate for outdoor fun. Lots of brochures for things to do in the area, and Marc was always quick to respond to messages. Only warning is that the car must be left down the hill, so you will have to walk a few minutes uphill to get to the apartment. We would definitely stay here again.

Thank you in Florence and Didier for their warm welcome in their beautiful chalet. We immediately felt like "home". Great little surprise on arrival (good bread, cheese and red wine). The beautiful cottage is ideally located with a beautiful view of the mountains and the Rhone Valley. The apartment is decorated with great taste and is very well laid out. We spent a week of perfect vacation and kindness of our hosts made our stay a memory lovely and memorable.

We spent 5 nights in Gryon in early July and had an amazing time. The view is spectacular and the setting was peaceful and relaxing. The modern home was very well equipped and my family felt very much at home. It was the perfect amount of space for a family of four. Overall I highly recommend staying here, lots to do and a great home to spend a vacation in.

What an incredibly fantastic week! From Florence and Didier's very warm welcome, to fabulous blue skies, our stay was pure bliss. A walk away from the chalet is the best bakery in the area (stop by for a green tea and walk home with a baguette under your arm). Our favorite place to eat is "L'étable" and the walk trails around the house are endless. Keep your eyes open for deer and squirrels. The air is champagne and the kitchen is very well equipped (don't forget your Nespresso capsules!). Leaving felt like we were leaving our second home and that we had made new friends. A bientôt L'ESTIVE.

The welcome from Florence and Didier was impeccable and friendly. Present at our arrival, they immediately put at our disposal to put us at our ease and feel like home. We especially liked the nice touch on arrival by offering us an excellent local bread, delicious cheese and wine for accompaniment. During the stay, we were delighted for their kindness, their help and their kindness to us. The apartment is beautiful, modern, functional and nine in a relaxing natural environment. Gorgeous views. Nicolas always replied to our mails right away and was very helpful. The chalet had everything you needed. We could even make a Chinese fondue. The living room was very confortable and we enjoyed the fire in the chimney. The bakery nearby is very nice for breakfast in the morning.

The cottage has kept all its promises, the panoramic view of the Alps worth a visit and its location is ideal for families looking for activities. The shops are near the cottage and several restaurants. Charlet The bakery is a landmark of Barboleuse. Park Gryon occupy your kids for hours. Nicolas was a very helpful host for the duration of our stay. We will keep very good memories of this trip and certainly will recommend this location around us.

Nicolas' chalet is a gem! The location is outstanding, with an open view over the Dents-du-Midi and Alpes Vaudoises --one of us commented that this was the most beautiful place they hade ever seen. Solalex, a lovely alpage a mere 20 minutes drive up from the chalet, offers several beautiful moutain hikes. The chalet itself is very nice indeed, the fireplace further enhances the its cosiness. Very clean, very well equipped and fully functional. To be highly recommended! Nicolas, thank you again for everything! This has been an excellent and memorable stay. We will definitely be back!

Nicolas was very knowledgeable we enthusiastically on his cabin that perfectly matched the description and our expectations. The cottage is very well equipped, in a very quiet area of Gryon, not too far to walk to shops, and the view is beautiful. Retail Note: attention to Swiss outlets that do not really work with European records: providing an adapter!

We were taken by the parents of Lauriane very welcome at reception. Since we are stuck with our car in the snow, we even have Janine and Jiri brought with her car! That was really nice! The apartment is really nice and spacious with our expectations fully met. We felt like home! Thanks to Lauriane and their parents !! And the village Gryon is very very nice!

the flat is great, with big rooms, big social spaces, a great kitchen, well equipped with all the appliances, oven, dishwasher, toaster, and the one we used the most, the racklet grill the location is great, only 2 min walk to the train stop and then 15 min to the ski centre, or 5 min to the telecabine. plenty of options the host were very accommodating and even help us move in into the place we were 6 and stayed there a week, will definitely be visiting when i get the chance
