On a painting of a group of temples located east of the Takayama Basin, our hotel "Omaeya" is built. If you climb up the stairs along the mossy masonry in front of the road, the pine trees that protrude will greet you.When you open the lattice door, you can see a Japanese garden that seems to be over 100 years old on the right.When you enter the entrance and enter the living room from the tatami mat corridor, you can see the Japanese garden openly from there.If you go further down the hallway, there is a tea room, and the Japanese garden you can see sitting there makes you feel interesting even though it is small.

It’s about 3 minutes walk from Takayama Station and about 5 minutes walk from “Furui Machinami(Old Street)”. When you enter the house from the front door with lattice, you may feel as if you were in a merchant’s house in the old days in Japan.
