Our beautiful cabin is nestled into the woods of fort Gibson Lake, offering a beautiful, but unique stay. It is a 10 minute drive from Sequoyah State Park, with fishing, swimming, restaurants, and gorgeous hiking. This cabin will truly give anybody an Oklahoma retreat experience. Important: This cabin can fit 10 people with the bed arrangements (with 2 people in big beds) or 7 comfortably with 1 person per bed.
The entire property, and both buildings. Including yard. There is an in-ground tornado shelter that was just built a few years ago, so rest assured you and your family/friends will be safe in the event of a storm.
Sequoyah state park is a 10 minute drive. Neighbors are extremely nice, and are often outside to say hi!

  • What a lovely property! Perfect sleeping quarters, fully functioning kitchen and bathrooms, cozy atmosphere inside and out! We especially loved the options for indoor/ outdoor seating and my daughter was happy to play on the yellow slides all weekend. Don't forget to watch the sunset. Absolutely beautiful.

Please like us on F@cebook “Gray House Farm” We are a small business in the process of expanding our farm. Currently we have laying hens, two roosters, guineas, one cat, a Great Pyrenees, rabbits, and bees on our 50 acre property. We like to leave our guests honey and fresh eggs when available. We love our homestead on the lake! *We now offer kayak rentals. $20 half day/$30 entire day*
On Fort Gibson Lake. Walking trail (about 100 yards from tiny house) to lake where you can fish, kayak, watch the sunset or swim. Build a fire in the fire pit and relax as you take in the beautiful surroundings. Easily accommodates four people. Close quarters yet tons to do and see. You will thoroughly enjoy this nature in the woods. We no longer allow outside animals on our farm due to recently losing hens to a visitors dog. We do leave fresh eggs if available. Ample outside space: Spend your vacation with nature. Walk to the lake, travel 3 miles to Wildwood state park and boat ramp, take a sunset kayak trip on the lake, watch deer and wildlife from your front porch. Fish on the beach or dock, roast hotdogs and s’mores at your own fire pit, walk across the dam, and much more.
50 secluded wooded acres with great lake views and a short scenic walking trail to the lake. Very quiet and secluded. The area is 30 minutes to Tahlequah and 30 minutes to Muskogee. There are several things to do around the lake. Our favorite hangout spot is a short boat ride to Cypress Cove. They have live music, heated fishing dock, food for the catfish and ducks, and excellent food and spirits. We are sometimes available to water taxi. There is also Sequoyah State Park. It’s a 20 minute drive or short scenic kayak trip. ***Ask about our kayak rentals. They have golf, horse back riding, hiking and biking trails, boating and fishing, as well as a nature center with a bald eagle, owl and other wildlife. Catch them at the right time for animal feeding. Other ideas: -Pontoon boats for rent at Paradise Cove. -Whitehorn Cove has a restaurant on the water. -Tahlequah has an awesome Cherokee Museum and village. -Wagoner (10 miles) has a yoga barn and rope course and lots of antique stores. -Hulbert (5 miles) has a splash park for the kiddos. -Wildwood State Park 2 miles away with boat ramp, swim deck, camp grounds with showers. -15 minutes to scenic Fort Gibson, oldest town in Oklahoma.
  • This place was the perfect little getaway. Far enough away from town to be quiet and secluded, but close enough to the host and town to feel safe and convenient. The place was clean, comfortable, and cozy.

  • What a CUTE little cabin! OK, the first thing we loved about this place is the immediate impression of the care and creativity of it's creators. I could tell a lot of creativity and pride has gone into creating this cute little space. This cute little cabin has a lot of human touch, carefully thought out usage of space, and Rebekah & Bunner have put a lot of thought into making it cozy, inviting, comfortable, and enjoyable. The kitchen is well-stocked with utensils and everything you need for cooking for yourself. We had planned on sight-seeing, however, we found ourselves reluctant to move away from the fire and our tasty hot drinks. The internet is SUPER FAST, and there is the full array of Netflix and cable TV options. This is a well-appointed, comfy, cozy cabin with all that anyone would want for an intimate and comfortable getaway. And that's not all! How could I forget MOLLY? Molly is their adorable dog. Molly has a soft temperament, she's such a kind, friendly, welcoming dog that she immediately became one of us. It was hard to say goodbye :-(. In the morning we were greeted by some very personable and inquisitive chickens - and what chickens! I have never seen such handsome, good looking, happy chickens before. They are definitely well-loved. In summary, we loved this place. Thankyou Grey family, for your hard work and creativity.

  • Beautiful setting in the woods, very clean, a fun place to stay!!

    Gail2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing experience. I went in December so it was pretty cold out but the cabin stayed warm and cozy. Everything we needed to cook was already provided. There were plenty of pillows and blankets for myself and my brother. The location is beautiful–– perched up on a hill, surrounded by trees and in view of the lake, the sunsets were exquisite! There were several chickens and guineas roaming about that were quite friendly and a really nice dog that accompanied us on our walks. Check-in was easy and everything was ready when we arrived. Everything was very clean and there was a list of things to do in the area. While it is remote, there are towns in the vicinity. All and all, I couldn't have been more pleased with my trip. I'd love to come back in the summer to kayak when the water is warm. If a relaxing cabin retreat is what you are looking for, you will not be disappointed.

  • Please do yourselves a favor and visit this place. Both hosts are very helpful and friendly. The chickens are super cool too. But my most fav highlight is Molly the pup... I got some much needed pup-therapy whilst enjoying a quiet, immaculate, stylish and peaceful holiday week on this cozy farm house.

Our house was built in two pieces by an native american couple named Manwaring. We are close to the Dam, close to Sequoyah Bay State Park, and nestled in an area teeming with history. This area is known as 3 forks area, as the Arkansas, Grand, and Verdigris rivers all merge just south of here. Its a nice quiet neighborhood for taking walks, and just relaxing.

  • My sister and I enjoyed our time of quiet and peace while we stayed in a studio apartment it was plenty big for two of us. We like the cats. Everything was nice and clean. It is a little bit remote but that’s what we were looking for. It was a great place for us to rest in between our destinations. We did not use the hot tub because it was too cold at night for us but it seems like a great asset. Peaceful We would come back here again if we were in the area. Debra Dean Amarillo, Texas

Picture this..You laying on the loungers, sun kissed skin, glass of chilled wine, a page turner of a book watching the occasional kayaker through the bottom of your sunglasses. Perfect right? By evening you have access to sunsets, a fire pit and Marshmallow skewers for the perfect s’more. Inside you’ll find your favorite movie playing on surround sound and plenty of board games and puzzles for a quieter night. Personally it’s hard to keep me from not being under the stars... • What a lovely, comfortable place! Mitch was a great host, going above and beyond to make sure our trip was great and that our boys had a fun time. Great touches and amenities in the cabin, a luxurious shower and super comfy bed- all overlooking the river. My whole family loved it and the boys want to plan a return trip when the weather is warmer so they can continue to look for Bigfoot in the woods. Highly recommend!!

  • Highly recommend staying here worth every penny

    Terri Sue2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay, right by the river, nothing quite like waking up in the morning and looking up to see the sunrise right above a river outside your window, the house was very nice and very well furnished and chalk full of amenities. The house gave off a kinda cabin in the woods vibe but was defiantly up to date to modern standards, gonna be honest, the shower was the best thing in that place. Great place to stay if your looking to get away for a while.

    Joel2020-01-24T00:00:00Z

  • Bert and Nancy were wonderful! They have considered every detail. Their home radiates peace and hospitality. You won’t be disappointed in your stay. It is close to town but very private.

    Misty2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bert was quick to respond to every question we had. Being our first time as an airbnb guest, our expectations were neutral. These hosts made us feel so welcomed with a glass vase of fresh flowers, cookies, and biscotti when we first arrived. The location is off the beaten path to allow peaceful and quiet surroundings, but was within a few short minutes to the restaurants and other Tahlequah sites. The house was spotless and their attention to detail shined through the cleanliness of every book and cranny. The comfortable furniture, bed and cozy outdoor space all lent itself to a wonderfully relaxing weekend. I don't think they could have done a single thing to make it any better!

  • Greatest place in Tahlequah to stay. Beautiful and clean with lots of amenities

  • Lovely place hosted by lovely people. Bert and Nancy are delightful. The home is exquisite —charming, very clean, with plenty of pillows and towels. There were so many little extras, like chocolate chip cookies, chocolates and coffee. The water pressure is excellent and the views are very peaceful.

  • Wonderful people who genuinely care about making you feel welcome. They’ve thought of every detail. Definitely recommend a stay at Bert and Nancy’s.

  • BEAUTIFUL HOME. Nancy made cookies and I didn't even share. 😁. This was my first airbnb and so glad I picked Bert and Nancy to visit. The cat (pumkin) was super sweet. Got to see deer while swimming in pool. Love watching the chickens. Wish we would have had more time to spend there. So peaceful, and next time we want to get away we will be staying at Bert and Nancy's.

    Paula2019-09-08T00:00:00Z

  • This place is absolutely the best place in downtown Tahlequah to stay at. It's very comfortable and my kids loved it!

    Emily2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our first experience booking an Airbnb and wow the bar is set high by this location! Felt like walking into the after version of an HGTV episode. So cute! The hosts have thought of everything. Need something? Open a couple of drawers and I bet you find it. I was able to cook full meals for an extended weekend, including a mini Thanksgiving, in the well appointed kitchen. The location couldn't be better, right at campus and downtown. Though we didn't get to use it much due to weather during this stay, the private patio is designed for the perfect gathering spot. The lock box key made our late evening arrival convenient. Can't wait to come back!

  • Steven has one of the most comfortable and relaxing places I have had the pleasure of staying. He has thought of little things that make your stay easier and entertaining. From TV in each room with Roku access, old school Nintendo available to play to phone chargers at each bed side. I would recommend anyone coming to town stay and relax and enjoy you time in a place that is going to knock your socks off.

    Luke2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent host. Excellent location. Clean and roomy. Love the outdoor patio area. We will definitely be back!

    Dez2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautifully appointed, conveniently located, and spacious. There is a TV in every room, coffee provided, etc. Huge outdoor space with tables, games, grill and bikes. Very up to date technology. We would happily stay there again.

    Cecelia2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay - the Spring Street Hideaway had everything I needed and more; a Keurig for coffee, plenty of room to entertain guests, and a fully stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable as well as the living room furniture (reclining leather sofas). Each room has it's own television, fan and even a white noise machine which really helps when you are away from home. The outdoor patio is perfect for grilling and includes plenty of tables (with umbrellas to keep the sun off), a fire pit, bicycles for riding and even lawn games, including a giant Jenga and cornhole. It is within very close walking distance to the beautiful Northeastern State University campus as well as plenty of restaurants and shopping. When I checked in there was a nice bottle of complimentary wine waiting for me. The building, which used to be a longtime restaurant, still kept vestiges of it's roots, including a Dari Barn sign as well as photographs of the restaurant in it's heyday. Checkin in was simple, parking was plentiful, and the owners were extremely responsive to my questions and needs. Thank you, I will stay here again!

    Staci2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was super easy and the place was immaculate! Lots of amenities and plenty of things to do both on site and in the area! Would recommend to anyone and I hope to stay there again!

  • We stayed at The Peterson Ranch for a weekend getaway from the city. We needed to relax and recharge! We own a company and get so caught up in the business side of life that we needed a place to go unwind and reconnect with nature and ourselves. This was exactly what we needed! What a perfect mix of city and country life! Everything you could want: A pond right outside to fish, a fire pit, grill, hammock, plenty of land to roam, corn hole, basketball, cards/board games, coffee bar, and plenty of little extra touches that made our stay even more special! THANK YOU!! We are already talking about planning another weekend stay! :)

  • Our family had a wonderful weekend at this cabin in the woods. The kids could not contain their excitement over the different themes for the bedrooms, the window seats and screened in porch. The owners have thought of everything to make the trip pleasant and relaxing. We have stayed at many homes the past few years and this one is easily our favorite.

We enjoyed the coffee bar, corn hole, fire pit, hammock, comfy beds, and hiking trails. This is one of the best hosts I’ve had with an air b&b. Thank you for everything!

  • After traveling across country and never being in Oklahoma this was a great answer. It's for sue a must stay if your looking to unwind or looking around for investments. Lake is right there. Easy access to broken arrow and tulsa. She's done a great remodel with a bit to go but was warm, inviting and felt like home. Big fenced yard was great for our dogs (and teens). Seperate side bedrooms makes it easy to get away and the amenities were bountiful. Decor was right up my alley. Super responsive to my ..oh too many..questions. would recommend anytime but I bet the summer's are amazing!

  • We had a wonderful stay at this home! The space was very large and the bonus room was nice and private from the rest of the home. The fenced in yard was huge and it was a blessing that this home was pet friendly. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. I would recommend this space to everyone visiting the area! Also a great bonus, it is a minute walk away from an AMAZING pizza place called Pizza Port that my husband’s family has grown up on and loved for years right by the water.

  • This is a cabin and it is slightly rustic but very comfortable. If you like to cook and spend time with your family it is perfect. It is not right on the water, or in walking distance for small kids or elders to the water but there is a good fishing spot just 1 mile away. We went to Tenkiller to swim because the water was cleaner. I think it was 5 or 10 minutes in the car to Tenkiller. It is a great cabin to return to at night to relax and cook and eat.

  • Deanna and Sandy’s space was much more lovely than the pictures show. We came into town under difficult circumstances and this space was so comforting and lovely for me and my family. We loved the fire pit and the beautiful fragrances around the house. The front porch was amazing and the house is very centrally located to everything you might need. Would love to stay again when we come back. Thanks again.

  • This is a great spot! Wonderful location right in the heart of old downtown. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants, pubs, museum, Northeastern State, etc. The Branch (a great restaurant) is right next door with seating overlooking the town creek and The University grounds. There is a wonderful gelato/coffee shop downstairs too. The host provides thoughtful touches in the beautifully appointed apartment. We will stay there again!

  • This place is beautiful! Holly was able to host me on very short notice after having an awful hotel experience. I didn’t realize I was going to stay in a dream apartment. Her style is great and the bed is comfy as heck! Also, the location is the best you can get!

Our Cabin is located on the lower part of the Illinois River in a country setting. The cabin has two twin beds and one queen with luxury linens and pillows. The bathroom has a standup shower and soft white towels with a sink.
The Guest Ranch is a old church camp from the early 1900's along the Illinois River. After remodel of the cabins, lodge and pavilion we are now ready to host weddings, family reunions, special events or private parties. Easy walking distance to the river with fishing and taking in the serenity that mother nature has around you. This set up is exactly what you want if you need to get away and relax from all the hustle of everyday life. Don't be surprised to see a black bear, turkey, white tail deer, raccoon, skunk, possum or a rare sighting of a mountain lion.
  • Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family! The seclusion was nice! It was nice to have some privacy but it was also close to everything. Food and the Illinois river which was the reason for our stay. If you forgot anything it was provided. Razors shampoo qtips you name it they thought about it. Warning tho is there wasn’t a microwave so we couldn’t warm up milk for our kiddos but not a deal breaker! Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Rachel2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet and peaceful place to stay. Surrounded by nature. Clean and quaint. Highly recommend!

    Mark2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location, not far at all from town but secluded. River is short walking distance from cabins. This would be a very nice location for groups (I believe it is an older church camp converted into cabins). Cabins are rustic but comfortable and clean. Satellite TV. Short gravel road to cabins which were fine even in heavy rain periods (we were on motorcycles and had no problems). Good communications with owner.

    Scott2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • the cabin was a great value for the price. stock well with water, toiletries. AC work GREAT. It was very clean very easy and very comfortable. I would recommend highly. just be aware if you're going for float trip the cabins are about 15 min from most float places, but very close to most restaurants.

A genuine, two-story log cabin nestled on 45 acres of private property adjacent to not only 400 acres of public wilderness, but also sits next to a tributary of Fort Gibson Lake. The cabin is located 1/2 mile from a country road making it very quiet and tranquil.
The backyard features a large rock fire-ring with a grill that can be used for a campfire or you can use the grill for an old-fashioned cookout. A charcoal grill is also available, along with a hammock to watch hummingbirds when it's warm or occasional Bald Eagles that are common in the area. A set of horse-shoes and corn-hole are ready to use. An archery target is set up if you bring a bow and, for nature lovers, an easy 1/4-mile walking trail is next to cabin. Master bedroom is upstairs with a queen-size bed that features a balcony overlooking the backyard. The two lower rooms have twin beds. One of them have a set a bunk beds with a single twin. Upstairs next to the master is a small sitting area with a TV (antenna service). We also have a 'smart' TV in the living room next to a gas fireplace that is ready to use. The kitchen comes complete with a refrigerator, stove, two ovens, microwave, toaster oven and dishwasher. A washer and dryer are also available. There is Wi-Fi service for phone and internet, but outside is 'hit or miss'.
Sequoyah State Park is just 3 miles from the cabin. It features a lodge with swimming pool, camping sites, 18-hole golf course, nature center and several hiking trails. The park also has horseback riding. Paradise Cove Marina, located in the park, has everything you need if you bring a boat, but also has boat rentals and pedal boats. A swim beach is nearby at Fort Gibson Lake's Taylor Ferry North park.
  • Most beautiful and secluded cabin I’ve stayed in on Airbnb! Highly recommended! Five stars doesn’t do this cabin justice! An amazing getaway!

    Ben2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This log cabin is the real deal. Super clean, lots of little touches, very comfortable beds and plenty of things to do outdoors. Beautiful scenery and a nice place to get away and disconnect.

    Tarrah2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience in an Airbnb and because of Nita’s hospitality, quick responses and genuine friendliness. This wouldn’t be the last. I felt horrible messaging her every week asking for different things. She handled the communication so timely!! The place was beautiful in person, quiet and serene. Nita was the perfect host and paid close attention to the details in the cabins. From the overall decor and being Christmas, the neat snowmen scattered throughout the cabin, really gave out our family in the Christmas mood. Nita left a very thoughtful handwritten card for our family and made the most wonderful Black walnut muffins. An excellent touch and something personal from the walnut trees on her property. They also had the fire-pit already setup for our s’mores. We will always remember our 2019 Christmas at the cabin and how gracious our host was. Thank you for making this experience seem less and amazing!!!

    Darius2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This totally the place to relax and unwind with family and friends. Great kitchen to cook in and plenty of spaces inside and out to kick back and un-plug.

    Rene2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a beautiful property, roomy and quaint log cabin to have family gatherings, this is the place! From a fire pit for conversations, to hikes and fishing from the banks. Just what I needed to get away from work and focus on God and family. The owners are wonderful, with very thoughtful touches for your stay and communicates well to ensure you have all you need.

    Bill2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Nita’s cabin was spotless and comfortable. Lots of deer out in the yard. We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked like all you’d need was there. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with a good-sized bathroom and then the master is upstairs with a good-sized sitting area on the landing. It is very peaceful place with a stunning night sky. It’s about 25 minutes to Clear Creek Abbey. Definitely recommended!

    Anne2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful ! Nita was an amazing host! She goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect! We will for sure be back!!

  • Very beautiful cabin. We had a great time, walking distance to a big lake to fish and nice trail. The only thing I would change would be to put a TV in the living room. We had a great time and will definitely come back.
