Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a king-size bed and is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, colour TV, DVD/CD player, vacuum cleaner, central heating and a power shower over the bath. Linen and towels are included. Sleeps two people. A small sofa bed, in the lounge, can sleep a third person ( there is a surcharge of £10 per night when additional linen is provided for sofa bed.

It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The Grey Goat - Bake House. Cockermouth

The Grey Goat was built about 1770. In 1900 it was converted into a public house Ye Old Grey Goat Inn which was run by my wife's great uncle. The Inn ceased trading in 2012 and is now our home. The Grey Goat is in the centre of Town. St Helens street is in one of the oldest parts of the market town convenient for the town centre shops, coffee shops, restaurants, public houses and two parks which both offer riverside walks
