The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Sportsman's Country Lodge: The Roost in Ortonville

Conveniently located only blocks from the grocery store, bar and grill, and the Ortonville boat ramp and cleaning station. This home offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests. There is off the street parking, an outdoor outlet and a fish/game cleaning station in the backyard (We ask that you take your fish/game scraps with you for disposal). There is also a great view of Big Stone Lake from the back yard where you can enjoy time around the fire pit.

The cabin is within a 5-minute walk to Barsness Park, the public beach, and the Lake Minnewaska boat landing. Close to downtown Glenwood to explore local shops, restaurants, breweries, and more. Please note: Cabin is not handicap accessible.

Feel like swimming? Fairly Lake beach is 4 minutes from the cabin! End your relaxing day around the firepit!

A great place to stay and relax, with enough room to bring your family.

Open floor plan with 3 gas fireplaces and basement rec room. Master bath has double shower and Bubble tub. Sunsets are beautiful from the deck. The house does not have TV. WIFI is available for a $35 fee if you need it. Home sleeps 23 and there is a $10 per person fee per night above 8 guests.
